I guess it’s a California thing we have to have 4 points of tie down so 4 straps to 4 different locations or we could get cited for it. And loading in a truck with mud, snow or just raining adds a whole other element to it for sure. Thanks for the video 👍🏻
Nice trick load sideways like others here we have to tie all 4 corners i use ratchet straps only . My trailer is 16 ft by 8.5 deck over has two 3500 pd axels gives you 7000 here have to subtract weight trailer from that what is left makes up your allowed total weight can carry . My trailer weighs 1800 pds leaves me 5200 allowed on trailer .
Neat trick but that’s why when I got my 20ft trailer to fit 2 quads and my pioneer I got a car hauler without bars. Drive up side with ramps. Makes it super easy.
@@ArizonaKid thanks! It also helped that after the Pioneer purchase the 6x12 dual ramp was just barely big enough the the UTV so I was able to pick exactly what I wanted.
I liked the way you turned your quad around on the deck. Do you use the ramps to unload or do you spin it back around? Just curious. Thanks for sharing!
Love the idea of sideways , but you really should use a ratchet strap instead of cam locks. Here In the province I live in we have to have 4 points of tie down . I always use ratchet on all four corners and draw the suspension down so there's no play which could cause a strap to become unhooked. I've seen the results of a ATV coming out of a truck from poor tie down. seems like cheap insurance for a expensive investment. Never say Never when it comes to a trailer !! Anything can happen and come out .

Unloading is easy. Just do a 350 point U-turn. Or use the winch to drag the front end toward the back and drive it off.

Hold front breaks and put in reverse and spin it back around

20 foot. And 5000lbs axles .Over kill for quads. . E ratted tires like a 3/4 ton pick up
