You are leaving soft, what kind of gear ratio are you running ? I have an 82 c10 with a 5.3 stage 3 BT cam 4L60 and 3.73 gears, I pull the left front on a hard launch. Jus sayin
kenneth walker it’s leaving soft cause it’s not leaving on nitrous. The third hit where it blew the tires it was on nitrous from the start, but apparently it was a little too hot lol
She’s lazy off the hit, I think you need to purge better so the nitrous hits immediately. It’s not at the noid. If you’re careful and monitor your RPMs, use the nitrous during your burn out and when you launch it’ll hit harder than you’ve ever experience so far. Using the nitrous to do the burn out willfully purge the nitrous line allowing a full hit immediately.
Put some positive caster in the front end, it'll stop shuffling around like that on the big end. I'd suggest a line lock or adjust the rear brake bias to help with the burnout also. Glad it's coming together man, I know you have a ton of blood and sweat equity in the car.
StreetSmart 660' I definitely need to get another alignment. If you look real close it still seems like the rear end driving right and pushing the front left. Hoping a decent alignment squares me up cause the last one ain’t do much lol
Get the NX progressive the 120 buck unit its set at 20% on the leave and you have a second knob to ramp till 100%. very simple but effective and adjustable to the surface your on for cheap ...

I ran a base timing of 34* but ultimately running nitrous the plug will tell you where you should be. Those numbers are arbitrary, they mean nothing. What works for some is 28 what works for others is 36. It’s about reading the plugs.
Yea im running 30 from 3000 rpm then 31 at 6k and 32 and 7k I gotta play with it some I think it's close it's a 7.70..... 7.80 ish at around 90mph give or take alittle 1/8 mile truck on motor and footbrake .little faster on 100 shot it's a little shot but trying ri get my 60ft down and nitrous progressive box figured out. Was you on a slick or pro radial?? I'm on bald radials.but local track is pretty good Crossville and buffalo valley

Deontre Mitchell stock bottom end, I use a Hughes Performance converter but it’s made for a turbo LS that makes a heck of a lot more power than I do so I’m gonna send it back this week and have them make some adjustments

A few remarks about needing a purge kit. I purposely do not use one as it's a poor-man's delay with my 4-spd, and it works great! However, my delay is about a tenth of what I'm seeing here, so I'm not so sure that's where the problem is.
The issue isn’t in purge kit. I hit it threw the motor before I line up at the line to make sure there’s no dead spot. It’s something in my throttle. If you watch the last in car see how hard I had to push to get the nitrous on before I released the trans brake? Yes I know you shouldn’t do that but I did and it lived lol. I think either the carpet is stopping me or the cable needs adjusted because I’ve adjusted the WOT switch and it should come on very easily

Ever seen a Nitrous bottle explode because it was brittle from being hit with a torch? Pretty sure you wouldn't do it with your kids so close if you had.

As other have said, car is lazy off the line. I'm guessing your going soft to keep traction. The slapper bars should be tight to spring on auto and have a slight gap on stick cars. Wedge them suckers more to bring them tight to spring. They work better with multi leafs. So you have a bastard suspension. May be better getting the caltracs so the suspension is working as a system. Then hit them tires with all you got!! Good luck man.
the burnout seems lazy but that the converter? after 60 its on point, but that can win on a bad street so, but love the look of this car. such a ugly pretty hotrod

I wouldn’t go any smaller than a ‘9 TCI converter , 4,000-4,500 stall she’ll haul the mail, sounds good nice ride man!

T-Bone 91LX A quality purge would work just as good! Nitrous in the line turns to gas, you want the wet shot, 👍😎

Adding exhaust for more back pressure would make a huge difference but it’s moving tho man. Keep up the progress.
