I bought my 73' Bronco in Keflavik which was once an "Arctic Truck". I have yet to see builds come anywhere close to Iceland's. Thanks to Bronco Graveyard and the Locals for keeping me running!

Im suprised to see so many jeeps what an amazing variety! Must have a very interesting history of using them in Iceland throughout the years. love the Wagoneer Automatic Transmission mated to to a true 4x4 system in 1963! Although i dont think that one is a 63. that heavy duty chevy with quad steering needs its own segment
Hands down my favorite 4x4 build style. I'd move to Iceland tomorrow if it wasn't for the whole "ice" thing.
Iceland is green and nice and green land is icy. It was a trick to get people to go to green land

John Terpack Taxes are high, but it depends on how much you earn in year. We have free healtcare, free school system, no homeless people. I visited in US this summer and i think it was much more expensive than in northen scandinavia. All the taxes and tipping. Our phone bill is 20€ for limitless use😅 Antibiotic free meat. :)
@@juhoj4556 nothing is free. My wife and I pay something like $3,500 per year in property tax to fund our "free" school system. And we don't have any kids. Everything the govt gives you had to first be taken from someone else. We don't have kids, in part, because we don't have that $3,500 to feed or clothe them. Being forced to subsidize other's children takes away our ability to have our own.

I have to admit, most of the time I think trucks like this look silly.
On a recent trip to Iceland I changed my mind. In that environment I totally see the point...and they look really cool.

Anybody have more information about those with the wires coming out the center hubs of the wheels to the fenders. Looks like some sort of central inflation system but not sure at all!?
Its an tire inflation system, adjustable on the go

Depends on car, weight, engine, tune etc. There is no number that applies for all of them.
Usually when you ask the owners the answer is quite often: "Everything you fill it with."
I need Info on some of there part suppliers, unless Icelanders are the best garage fiberglass molders of all time.
There are a few companies that make or sell them for trucks here, most are made in Iceland, not imported.

I havent. Go to google and write breyttur or breyting in front of pathfinder or terrano and you might find some photos from people that have modified them here in Iceland ;)

@@aam.edicionyvideo2080 Most in this video are just owned by individuals and used for fun trips in snow on the mountains/glaciers.
Then there are also trucks here for tourism and others for search and rescue.

What month is this held? What part of Iceland?
This was 14-16sept 2018. The 4x4 club was celebrating 35years.There was not a show last year, not sure when it will be held next.
It was held in Reykjavík. I went and it was really fun seeing them in person

@annavillarreal1515 there is another show this month, 15-17th of september 2023 in Kópavogur. The house is called Fífan where it is held.
