Digging this. Simple. Inexpensive. Fun. I actually like the bigger numbers; my eyes aren't what they used to be! Ha! Definitely cool that you review Armitron watches. Don't see many being reviewed. 👍 You're almost at 3,000 subs. Congrats! Great review Cheers!
Thanks as always. Armitron is my favorite underdog brand to review because you don't ever really see it covered much. I can't believe 3k is almost here too! When I started my goal was 50 subs😂
Yessir they have a pretty large collection. Most of them are what I would consider cheap Walmart, open-counter watches (which there's nothing wrong with that), but some of their watches are straight winners.
Thanks for the excellent review! I just saw this watch in a TikTok and now I'm obsessed. I don't even wear a watch but this is so much fun, for the price I couldn't resist. Problem is in the UK I can't find it in silver/red at a price that makes sense for a novelty purchase of something I may get bored of after a few wears. I can get most of the other colour combinations at half the price but I don't like any of them enough. Guess it wasn't meant to be.
Thanks brotha. I try. It's the 'golden rule' of watch reviewing: Review a watch with the information you would want to know if you were looking to buy it.
Very cool & unique looking watch. Actually from the three models, I waited your take on this one the most. In my opinion, the white Armitron logo in the front is too big. If it was smaller/missing, it would gave more subtle look on the black screen. 8:00 - haha, that is a badass joke! Thank you for the review as usual!
#1 rule of being in the mob: we don't talk about the mob 😎😂 Hopefully I can get my hands on a Hamilton PSR soon, but for now this fun little piece will do.
I'm not normally interested in digital watches, I don't own any except an analog/ digi G-Shock. But I really liked the way this one looked, so I wanted to get one of these and had it in my Amazon cart ready to purchase when I decided real quick to check out a couple of YT vids. I'm glad I did, because I didn't realize how small it is. I have a nearly 8" worst and I've found that any watch under 40mm case diameter looks ridiculously small on me. Still for the cost to feed my family dinner at a cheap fast food restaurant, this is a cool, fun, little retro style watch. Too bad it wasn't just a bit bigger.
Was on the fence about this one…would love to see other 80’s classics be re released like the ae-80,ae-20twingraph(solar powered to update to today’s standards and 100m wr) Great background music SR..👍👊⚡️🥷🦇
That would be awesome to see modern upgrades to all of the classic watches. I'm talking about actual upgrades with all of the old school swagger but with modern tech. (I'm glad the background music is well received. Finding the right tunes sometimes takes longer then filming and editing the video lol)
I disagree. There is already too much saturation of various low quality “nostalgia” and retro content. This watch in particular retrogrades in function by requiring left hand press to see the tune. It will get old very quickly.
Oh that's nice...that would be ideal for some retro rave-party in the 90's. I've never been on the rave party, i was on the rock and roll places when i was a kid but i think this would suit nice. Maybe i would prefer a black/white or silver/green combination but anyway, that watch is worth every cent. It's really hard to see that watch anywhere today. It's more than legible, it's quartz, it's waterproof, it's easy to polish out that acrylic crystal when you scratch it, that thing is not designed to be a monster, to be shockproof or nuclearblastproof, it's designed to be a star of the evening, that watch is a reason for conversation....dimensions are great....that's enough, more than enough. It's much better than the old one. Great video Simucom Like
Thanks for the review. To be honest, LED watches were a total gimmick when they were 'bleeding edge' - The quartz element was valuable, but I remember a friend's parents spending £100 for an LED watch that, like the Griffy, lit up for a few seconds when you pressed the button. I couldn't see the point then and I can't now, but I just bought one for £20 because they're a bit of fun 😄
@@degenerateWAinformative! :) some reviews you sit thru watching someone open a box :) i found urs to cover everything..im also looking into a copy of the pulsar p2 worn by james bond in live and let die ..i believe there are some good cheap ones out there about £65 ..dont know what that is in dollars :) cheers mate
In order to get the watch to display the year press the a button then long press the b button then short press the b button 4 times since the display modes dont show the year ... To go back to the normal function just press the b button till your time is displayed
Also a way more budget friendly alternative than the Hamilton PSR. Of course I don't think they can be compared but if you want to emulate the retro LED look then the Griffy is a great little option.
@@degenerateWA I bought the gold one first And then five minutes later saw the silver one. so i waitied to find it on amazon Before i bought it. As i didnt want to leave walmart with two of the same watches.lol
I wouldn't say easily, however it's also not anything particularly tough either. If you happen to catch it against a rough surface you're going to see the marks but for normal day to day wear it will be just fine.
I bought this when it first came out. It was just to small for my wrist. I really liked it. Just wasn't for me. But the new black and red one looks incredible. Very night rider.
I recently bought the Hamilton psr, I wish more watch makers would make LED, I also own the digital LCD Hamilton men in black 2 watch, great watch but should be led not lcd, numbers on this watch you review way too large like you say
Man, this watch is just toooo “retro”. It’s not good that it adds the need to use the left hand to press to see the time. The retro look is. It worth the inconvenience.
got one today, the led numbers are really good.

Thanks for showing this watch. I didn’t realize that Armitron was still making watches!

Great review bro. You were pretty thorough with the minor details

I just bought one of these. $10.00 on clearance at Walmart. I generally wear Timex Expeditions, this takes me back to when I was cool. 😎
I've been hearing a lot about these awesome clearance prices from Walmart. Random Walmart watch purchases are the best🤘
Goes for about 100 in europe, if you can find one.
You're still cool!

Rock and roll places are way more fun IMO🤘
Great review! Thanks for sharing. I was always wondering how it looks in real life, demonstrated by someone who owns it.
Thanks as usual. Armitron hardly gets any coverage so I felt compelled to try it out.

Great review very thorough just sent off for the blue led silver tone.
Gotta love it, hope it arrives soon
So you know of a hack to get the LED to lightup longer or permanently
great infoormative review thanks...made my mind up and i want one
That's awesome. Glad I could help.

You are correct!
Great review! Now I have to get one 🙂
Thanks! It's a fun little wrist candy for sure.
I think this is a nice kick around f91w alternative that is a bit larger and has more wrist presence with the bracelet.

I much prefer the bigger numbers.
I actually had the Hamilton PSR in cart and ready to purchase,,, then I found this!!!
Great review! Thanks! 😊
Thanks for watching!
Just got the silver n green LED one yesterday
Epic, great pick up🤘😎🤘
i wore my silver one. I love it. Its a great watch
I actually ordered the silver tone one originally and they messed up my order and sent me the gold tone version lol.

I really like that watch
It's a fun little watch for sure.
Does the gold finish scratch/scuff/wear easily?
I wouldn't say easily, however it's also not anything particularly tough either. If you happen to catch it against a rough surface you're going to see the marks but for normal day to day wear it will be just fine.
@@degenerateWA thank you! Not bad. Sounds like a budget friendly and fun watch for both genders!
thanks so much for your thorough review and response!
Do you think this will fit a 7/4 wrist?
My wrist is 7.5" and it fit me just fine. There was barely any room left to size it any larger.
Great review.
Thank you, appreciate it!
yesterday I received the gold green numbers
Excellent, very cool
Those cursed door frames. 😁
😁
Is this smaller than f91w??
Not sure on the exact dimensions but theyre fairly similar
Hi bro can u make a video on casio w 96H
I don't own one, but if I ever get my hands on one I will make sure to review it.

I can see that 🚓
CR 2032 baterry :)
Nice review. So, need to push for time to appear ? Very troublesome.
Yeah you have to press the button for the time. More of a "fun watch" than a practical one.
Who said that I was a Mob Boss😳🤔🤣
I ain't saying nothin' 😎
Maybe the dressiest $30 watch.
Hell yeah
So the case is made of steel? That's great. Casio equivalent is plastic.
It was a very pleasant surprise👍
I recently bought the Hamilton psr, I wish more watch makers would make LED, I also own the digital LCD Hamilton men in black 2 watch, great watch but should be led not lcd, numbers on this watch you review way too large like you say
Wow, that LCD watch from MIB II is pretty rare I believe. Very cool!
They need to relauch this watch with just one buttom and smaller numbers.
These are $10 on clearance at walmart
Dang, that's a great deal. I should have waited
@@degenerateWA i bought three, prob for christmas or something

Fair enough. IMO it's more of a fun watch and not a practical one. Probably better off as a theme/costume watch instead of a good everyday one.
take my money lol
Gladly! 😎
Walmart
Are you saying it's available at Walmart?
