      So cool to see your comment again.
      I indeed remembered it. At that time I didn’t know the V-Synth at all.
      I sold the VP and missed it. Then I bought the VariOS but the fact that it needs a computer is not that convenient for me.
      Suddenly I found an XT and I was impressed but I missed the controls. Then a few months ago I found a V keyboard and wow...totally in love.
      I will continue with videos.
      Thanks for your positive comment.

    Rogier, I need to register a serious complaint.
    I was just looking up videos about my 909 that just arrived, and I found myself watching another great video from you for a V Synth I do not even own.
    10 minutes later I get a notification from eBay that I just bought a v-synth. This is entirely your fault.

    The V-Synth is since the release one of my favorite synth, it's a pity that Roland re-released a lot of old synth but not the V-Synth, with the actual power of today's DSP it would be a really great machine... I already released a small sound set by myself creating something unique...!

    • @theMIDImaniac
      @theMIDImaniac  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I totally understand that this unit is your fav. To be honest about the boutiques. I understand Roland why they released their top-units, because the V is deep. It's not just some sliders and knobs. It's packed with soooo much extra features. How many people know how to use the Step Modulators? And this V has 4 of them! I mean...WOW!
      you released a small sound set? Where can I buy it?

    • @XenoxParticularSound
      @XenoxParticularSound 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@theMIDImaniac A boutique version makes no sense, that's true, a V-Synth without sliders and knobs is no V-Synth. But the V-Synth needs a major hardware update, you feel it very often that the machine is old, it bugs sometimes, voice stealing, less memory and more missing things in the OS.
      When Roland would be interested in updating this machine, i would buy a new hardware synth again. Here is a link to my soundset: th-cam.com/video/e5vuhjvqrdY/w-d-xo.html and to the updated version: th-cam.com/video/moIzGAtFwlU/w-d-xo.html Thank you!

    Can you trigger the V-synths sequencer and arpeggios with the TR-8 or other rhythm machine brands using the hand clap, cow bell, etc as the trigger to create bass lines. Like in some of the videos from Synthmania using older drum machines and synths that have trigger inputs and outs on them??? Trying to find out if that can be done with the V-Synth or do I need to find another type of synth to do that with??

    Will this work on long strings of text or better to use shorter phrases?

    • @theMIDImaniac
      @theMIDImaniac  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It depends on the space you've left for sampling.
      It works fine with longer strings of text but you have to make sure it's all in sync otherwise the sample would drift off.

    hey Roger bought both the V Synth Original and GT last Year and have learned more in your few videos than the time that ive had them........ Hey Can you CHANE THE MULTI TIMBRAL state of the keyboard when it boots up thats parts 1-8 to the sounds you want and then save them and reload when you want or is it the same list of sounds globally every time you turn on the keyboard. Nothing much in the manual ...... Man you may need to do indepth videos on this vsynth if you let me know what you may want for patreon maybe we can work something out..... i didnt know how to get the ARP stuff going or the DRUM stuff going ....... i can see the screen is a little hard to record on video maybe you can do that a little better ..... im also trying to see if the GT will have the same results knowing that it is 2 vsynths in one how many ARPs and Drum stuff i can do on that ..... i think you got everything but the Edirol CG 8 Legacy that would complete your collection ...... i had to down size so dont have what you have anymore but i too am a ROLAND MAN......

    what’s the difference between this and the VP9000 with a midi keyboard?❤️

    • @theMIDImaniac
      @theMIDImaniac  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The only thing they have in common is the so called elastic audio. The VP is only a sampler and the v-synth has also a synth engine built in.
      Also the V-synth has an arpeggiator, 4x step sequencer and controls like the time trip pad and the D-Beam.
      Only the VariPhrase (elastic) Audio is the part they share.
      Ah, the polyphony on the V-synth is 24 and on the VP it is only 6.
      Two totally different units.
