    The bad times bring in fans of other teams, because they want to watch the meltdowns. It doesn't help the channel grow long-term because they're not Arsenal fans. They won't be back until the next big loss to watch the next meltdown. A lot less non-Arsenal fans watch AFTV when Arsenal have gone 15 games unbeaten and just beat West Ham 6-0. It's better for the channel if Arsenal are doing well for long-term sustainability, as opposed to intermittent spikes in views here and there that are coming from people who won't be consistent viewers.

    What made Robbie and the AFTV crew did in the early years is what sets them apart…persons that started the hate against the channel because arsenal was losing. As grateful as we are to the professeur, we had the same session year in year out for 7 or 8 seasons in a row knocked out league cup earlyish, UCL round of 16 exactly the same, 3rd or 4th place with usually more than 10 points behind title except 2nd in 2016. And just the odd FA Cup. For a club that was Man Us (my biggest rival) nearest challenger in the early 00s, that was concerning.
    I even said id prefer a season of Europa in that spell just to break the monotony. I still don't regret it. Same number of home wins 11, 12 ,13 season in and out. Similar away record. Anything up or down would have given us something different.

    This race has gone to the wire, so, as a City fan, I don't really see Arsenal as suffering any real 'fallout', more just a hitch or stumble .... things could STILL go wrong for City, and right for Arsenal, if we make a mess of things on Sunday ..... and on the final day of last season, that just wasn't the case.
    That damaging loss at the Emirates against Villa caused Arsenal to stumble, but unlike Liverpool, their form, and their football since that day has been excellent, they recovered ....... it was better than last seasons 'fallout' of three draws, together with the loss at the Etihad ( Now that really WAS a fallout!) ......... City just seem to have ambled along since their last loss at Villa in early December, without seeing any more defeats, only a few draws, and its put them in this position now .... yet, only on a few occasions over the season, have they really impressed in games.

    Robbie was agreeing somewhat with these clowns. The point being AFTV doesn’t need other fans to be successful. All it needs is Arsenal fans and Frankly there is 2 million + fans out there.
    If other fans want to watch fine you add to the algorithm. But it’s not made for you. You are the reason why it’s succeeded. The content is not for you yet here you are watching.

    Look, i like The Don and AFTV, but your not being truthful if you think the negativity wasnt the thing that exploded AFTV. Me myself started watching AFTV after the Arsenal-Liverpool game, with the famous line "When is it gonna end, Robbie" from DT. There were THOUSANDS just like me who started watching after seeing those famous videos of Troopz, DT, Ty etc... I stopped watching after they became good, because its not the same entertainment anymore. Im sure im not alone on this aswell.

    The reason AFTV get great ratings when Arsenal are doing well is because the vast majority of Arsenal supporters don’t want to see a group of people whinging, whining and putting the club down. When the team is doing well we know that won’t be present so supporters tune in for the genuine analysis. As soon as there is a hint of trouble on the pitch, AFTV start shouting for the managers head and putting the players down. True supporters find that repulsive to watch. If the team is playing poorly or the club is below standards as it was a few years ago, do something proactive, join the Arsenal Supporters Association and have your say on how the club is run, don’t whinge and moan about it, it’s boring and doesn’t achieve anything.

    Rival fans are still all over the comments even now. People just posting nonsense about how Arteta should be sacked, or Arteta has no ambition if he stays at Arsenal. Or "Haha you bottled the league". Or just random hate comments. Rival fans will still be there talking nonsense even if Arsenal win the Quadruple. It's wild to me. I wonder what the demographic of the channel really is, I wonder if most of them are just kids.

    AFTV thrived through negativity... During a time where there was Blondie, Bully etc, the most viral video was of Chris Hudson... AFTV found out early on that outrage sells. That's why he would prop up the likes of Troopz, DT, Judges and at some point Claude. If you look at their videos, AFTV would even clickbait with the (RANT) in the titles of the videos and those personalities would get 10+ more minutes for their fancams than other less over the top people. Judges fancams for example have gone from 300k views to just over 100k because there is no more ranting and negativity. The channel went from giving fans a voice to giving certain fans a voice
    AFTV just have to own that at some point their business model was driven off platforming and amplifying negativity

    • @tolubewaji8766
      @tolubewaji8766 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I see what you’re saying but the channel has been growing since then as well. I do believe when they were starting out they were a much more clickbait channel and they were more over the top as it got views and I didn’t watch it, their content now is a lot more of what I can get behind and I believe that is why they are still growing after that flash in the pan. Generally speaking TH-cam back in 2014-17 was such a toxic place, most of the stuff was clickbait, it was almost like the meta to grow your channel and be viral but it’s not a business model for longevity. They acknowledged that the rants go viral more when your team loses tbh anyway, I bet he watches expressions rants when arsenal lose, he just packages his content with funny wordplay when it’s all very similar.

      were any of those fans wrong??
      It's only now that we completely cleared out those people running the club and got a decent manager that things have turned around and we are being competitive. For years we lagged behind commercially and our recruitment was shite on top of wenger having power over everything, partly because he didn't trust the other people to do their job. If we had continue with any of those people at the club then this turn around never happens and we're still struggling to make top 4.
