- Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster POV Footage at Movie World! Warner Bros. Movie World is a Theme Park on the Gold Coast in QLD, Australia! Here are a few clips we filmed of the disco room portion of the ride, when the ride was in it's "Next Generation" iteration.
This is some POV footage we filmed (safely with secured camera glasses) a couple of years ago. Wasn't intended to be uploaded, but with Scooby closing I thought we might as well upload them for posterity - plus the clips are pretty funny!
Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster is a Mack Rides Wild Maus that opened at the park in 2002. Themed to the 2002 live action Scooby Doo film, the ride is a popular indoor Wild Mouse coaster that starts off with a ghost train section, before taking an elevator to the iconic disco / lazer room.
The ride closed in 2023 for a large refurbishment, with the ride planned to reopen sometime in 2025.
Filmed sometime in 2021 / 2022 with camera glasses (forgot the brand, I accidentally sat on them and they got destroyed oops)

Found some old footage from Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster: Next Generation we filmed a few years ago and decided to uploaded it for posterity! More soon! 🎢
As mentioned in the video, this was filmed with secured camera glasses before we knew more about the parks rules. Please don't film on the rides without permission!
Scooby Doo was my first ever coaster! My hips were hurting after the ride because of how skinny I am lol but overall it is quite intense I was screaming very loudly!
Wow, must have left a strong first impression if it was your first coaster!
@@ThemeParkOgre It did!
man got me thinking this was movieworld actual pov :skull:
I wonder if they'll do one for the Scooby refurb next year
@@ThemeParkOgre Hopefully 🙏
I rode the scooby doo spooky coaster it wasn't scary for me it was fun
It was a great ride, very re-ridable
1:38 Scooby doo where are you 🤣 Going to miss those violent and loud breaks that the ride had when it eventually reopen and hopefully they get rid of those stupid disco lights.. makes no sense with the theme.
My back is still winching from the brakes, haha. Became such a rough ride before it went down
Hope it's better than next gen
Hope it’s better than next gen that was so horrible lol. The original was waaayyy better haha
Next Gen was a HUGE mistake! Here's hoping the refurb brings it back to its original glory.
Saying that, the laser room (as seen in the video) was actually pretty good during Next Generation.
@@ThemeParkOgre that is true but the turntable always blew my ears up lol
i hope is better next gen it big miskake and i think old one better
100% agreed!
great video buts its a horrible ride
Thanks! The next gen dark rides sections sucked, but I think the laser room was still pretty good - just quite rough!
@@ThemeParkOgre to be honest I have never liked that ride its just so uncomfortable
@@its-straws I can understand that! Hopefully the new cars will help
@@ThemeParkOgre here's hoping but you will have to let me know how it goes when it opens lol before I consider riding it
@@its-straws haha, for sure!
