A well placed Auto-cannon sentry is soooo good. Especially if you can support it be clearing away the hordes of smaller stuff so it'll focus on the big things.
man, this kind of elevated position with clear sight is so rare. as a spear user i love whenever you get a position like that. set up a resupply and just clear half the map
I love going sentry builds. Gatling for light armor, Autocannon for heavies, Rocket for moral support. I then go stun grenades and Concussive Liberator for crowd control.
Concussive Liberator, oy vey. You want crowd control, you strap your ass with a LAS16 Sickle and you got yourself the closest thing to a stalwart as a primary.
I've been really digging the emp mortar combined with regular mortar duo. Emp will stun a huge area with so the regular mortar sentry won't keep missing.
@@ozylocz4078 on levlel 9s you cant rely on them though because you will fight titans faster than you can wait for cooldowns. You primarily have to be able to take them down with support weapons IMO. Autocannon fills that roll with its short cd
Are we talking about the same autocannon? Because my AC-5 _s h r e d s_ through fools when I actually place my shots properly. Hell, it’ll even clear hordes, and I don’t have to bother placing shots for that at all!
It's awesome when you get a view as clear as this one to place a turret on. I've also learned when placing them down while under attack, you want to throw it away from the enemies so it can rain some fire on them, and hopefully they're distracted so they don't immediately charge after it.

Blitzer could use pairing with a revolver tho, which I haven't bought.
Finally people who use the Sentry's properly and know how to be tactical. Everyone I play with just throws that crap down and runs off and it gets blown up in a second.

I really hate that Arrowhead is against having fun and constantly thinks that everybody wants to play on super low visibility maps. These clear maps have been my most favorite experiences playing the game.
I'm a sentry guy, autocannon, rockets, and gatling. That, plus rocket launcher that recharges every 70 seconds, makes heavies easy. Drop pods are also weapons for me, I attach them to chargers or tanks, and most of the time, they die from a pod dropping on them.
A well placed auto can shred everything. Striders, Titans, you name it. People usually place it at the front, which is stupid, because it has next to no HP, even with upgrades.
that's bonkers. I recently noticed it kill a tank by frontside. I'm weirded out how it has no ties to the shouldered one in terms of armor pen. Tell you what I could definitely use it on the bile titans. I should at least harm it when I'm hitting their guts but it just reflets
If you compare them side by side, the sentry is a much large caliber and the spent shell casings are way bigger. The sentry looks about the size of a 40mm cannon, while the autocannon looks more like a 20mm.
That's the issue I find most sentries need to be on higher ground and it can be hard to find that perfect point. Mortars I try to put behind something tight so a charger can't get in but I've actually seen one climb above it and it destroyed it without being near it. But definitely need to have the Sentry Ammo upgrade at least
I do the same thing by myself. I carry the auto cannon and place a turret. I can flank while my turret smacks the target. No matter which way the enemy turns they are getting auto cannon shells thrown at them.
I do love the autocannon, as stated below i use the MG to protect the turrets and my teammates while they and my sentry do the heavy lifting. Also at lvl 128 i have been trying different loadouts to keep things fresh.
Would be great to fight in large open spaces with visibility to hundreds of meters... It's been constant foggy, rainy bogs for the longest time where you can't see 2m in front of you... :D
Hey, not sure if its your graphics settings, or just the capture software/method, but if your actual gameplay looks like the video does, with all the weird blending when you spin your head around, I'd be happy to jump in a game and help you optimize your settings for a better gameplay experience, especially because it appears your running 4k.
If only they didn't have a cooldown that makes them mostly pointless. Could have done the same thing with a couple EATs and had them back up to use again in a minute.

Distinct lack of Hunter packs. Lots of armor makes for a relatively clean map, ironically. No summons and big, easy-to-hit targets.

That was fast! I see too many players relying on orbitals and eagles. The high terrain certainly helped to funnel the heavies into a kill box.

Best turret in the game. Had one Autocannon take out a Titan and five chargers. HMG Turret is really good also.
HMG is good when defending an objective. Also, its low cooldown is what makes it better.
