Best meal I have ever had was on an island. A local lady had a couple of tables outside her house and cooked afro-carribean food. I had octopus, rice cooked in coconut milk and salad. It was insanely delicious, and was only 9 bucks.
Its pretty basic. Higher price has a higher overhead cause of the entertainment part of it. Its an experience. Similar to sitting in business class in planes. Your paying for the service. The cheaper ones dont have the entertainment part other the Kyoto restaurant.

untouchable360x it’s not overpriced you just don’t think you must pay for creativity. That’s like saying athletes are overpaid for their service or artists shouldn’t make millions because it’s just colors on paper
This view of life is amazing. I can truly see now how I was back then less than 1 year ago... So pessimistic, and so poor mindset. Great video Alux, always trying new things. Congrats to the head mind. he is a nice person. And thank you Alux female voice. I'm sure changed you have chaged mindset too, after all this positive videos. Cannot be otherwise. Bye people :D
I dined at Per Se I think probably back in 2015 or so. It was cheaper then, about $500-600pp including pairings, so the price must have gone up since. It was still one of the most impressive dining experiences I've ever had, along with Joel Robuchon in Vegas (oysters and pearls at Per Se is still one of my fav dishes ever). It's definitely something to experience at least once in your life, but it's not something I'd like to do all the time. It can get a bit tiring to sit there for so long, and there's a LOT of food. Think of it like entertainment, along with a dining experience, then it's a bit less pricey. Also consider that many of these prices include wine pairings, which can get expensive on its own - most people spend $100+ on a night out one crappy bar drinks and club cover fees. People pay hundreds or even thousands of dollars for concert or sports tickets - this is sort of a similar kind of luxury, except you get to eat while enjoying the art that's put on the plate. Also experiencing that level of 3 star michelin service is just fantastic. They'll come scrape crumbs off the table for you in between plates, and generally cater to your every request. And of course, the ingredients they use are always the best of the best of the best.
Hey alux! As always, great video and amazing content. I would love it if you guys can make a video about the copywriting industry. There isn't much information about it for newcomers...
They have forgotten 2 Restaurants that qualify for Top 10 Most Expensive Restaurants and they are located in Sweden. Then there is a restaurant in Östersund and this restaurant is in the Top 50 of the world's best restaurants and has 3 Michelins. There it costs about $ 1200
I love to cook and create recipes. I love a challenge like restricted diets for philosophical, ethical, or medical reasons. I love working with limits and making excellent meals. One of my favorite things now though is making amazing food that is as affordable as possible. Low income is a limit on diet so it's a challenge to make great food within a specific budget. One of my hobbies is visiting incredible restaurants so I do indulge...but I take that and use it to inspire damned good food that is available to everyone ♡
@@JDere I ate at Gordon Ramsay Steak in Paris, it was pretty decent. But in general I shy away from the TV celebrity chef restaurants. I really did not like Bobby Flay's resto.

I get why well off people go to restaurants, but when I'm a billionaire, I will not go to restaurants, I'll have my own chef. It's safer and more comforting when you know where the raw food comes from, who handles it, how clean the cooking area, how healthy are the kitchen workers. It's easier to hire a talented chef and just send him/her around the world to learn different dishes.
You think you'll have more oversight on your personal chef than the top chefs in the world would have over their personal staff? If you had your own personal chef you wouldn't be watching over him making sure he's clean, and where he's sourcing from lol...whereas these master chefs would be, since it's their reputation and livelihood on the line.
Seriously... food can only be so good. I've traveled a lot, ate out a lot, had great food, and most is over-priced IMO. For me, 8 out of 10 times home-made, fresh-ingredient food is supreme (and FULLY customizable!).
