It’s really hard to see the black since it blends in to your shirt. Can you wear a slightly lighter shirt when you do the front rainbow? I’m sure it looks amazing I just can’t see how amazing it is.
Girl yassss!! I've had black hair with coloured bangs/front pieces for almost THREE YEARS!! And I'm the type of person who dyes my hair monthly, so it's a feat, but honestly I've LOVED it. Less to bleach/dye/colour remove and the black makes whatever colour(s) I have up front pop so beautifully. I don't know if I'll ever go back tbh. You're going to love it 😍🙌🏻🖤
The black looks great, Find that the Adore semipermanent blacks don't bleed much at all and come out of my hair super easy, even after being filled. Obviously not as easy as like a pastel or something but like a couple vitamin cs and hot water washes and it comes right out. Just not the blue black, that goes green first. I like the purple black the best. It works wonderfully and fades silver over time, no excessive bleeding. I've used it several times. I only used demi black once, with 7vol and left it for like 15 minutes. Was beautiful but impossible to remove, different brand tough. Hope the ion doesn't give you trouble
There is just something about blue black that always gets me back to it. I’m pretty dark naturally but since doing the split dye with grey, it looks so much better with the other half in black.
For rinsing your hair, I recommend trying to use a shower diverted valve and attaching a handheld shower wand. Game changer for me for like, just being neater in the bathroom basically. I have to refresh the color at the bottom layer of my hair pretty frequently because the dye doesn’t stick and I just pin up my lighter hair and that works for me. Still for hair like this you’d want to lean back like you were saying and I’m not sure that would help this in particular. Love this look though! Gorgeous and unique 💓
Ok so this look is amazing, can't wait to see the neon rainbow. For rinsing, does a detachable shower head not work for you? I got one specifically to rinse for multi color looks. Yea having to get in the shower is annoying but it gives so much more control and saves your neck. Love you, lady!

But like you my Sally's was out of Demi jet black. All they had was blue black which I want nothing to do with. So I have to go tmrw when they stock their shelves. We always think alike. When dying colors i like to block the blonde parts with conditioner and vaseline mixed together it works so effectively and it comes out of my hair really easily

I absolutely love this! I miss my black hair so much. But just went back to all over ice blonde. Bc my hair is broken 😂 None of the girls at my salon (all of us are licensed cosmetologists) can figure out why my hair is not accepting color. It wouldn't fully dye black, with filling or doing black permanent twice. Even lifting my roots to blonde is a challenge. Im naturally ALMOST a level 9 blonde. I put 20 volume Lightner on my roots for 35-40 minutes and they're still like a 9.5 blonde. My hair idk, it's just broken. Aislinn if you have any ideas or any other ladies have any idea how to make my hair less stubborn let me know. Because I'm just truly confused 😂 Great job though girl! Dont listen to anyone else. This is YOUR hair. Do what YOU want. Can't wait to see the rainbow in front ❤
Now I want black hair. It's good for dying over brown and you just slap it on and don't have to worry about mistakes. I love how you show diy ways in your own home. I mean nearly all of us do hair dying at home, we all find our own unique ways to get the dye and bleach on ha. Your realistic!
this looks AMAZING you did such a good job !! i did something similar this year, i finally took the plunge and dyed my hair perm black minus my bangs which i kept blonde so i can relate to the rinsing process so much, my neck and back were soo sore after trying to rinse the black dye backwards without any bleeding. since then i've been growing out and bleaching my roots to colour them and first did neon pink based off a look you did a while ago and it's one of my fav colours i've ever had 🥰 theres just something so powerful about having black hair, and the flair you get with contrasting pieces mixed in!
Looks great and I really like the different placement of the colour. I just really hope the black will also come out easy where the hair wasn't bleached and doesn't cling to it too bad

The girl at Sally’s just had me get a protein filler bc my hair is platinum and it worked like a charm!
I used to dye my hair permanent black. The Ion was definitely the best and most natural looking ever!!!! Some just look so inky to me. Lol if you wanted to fill it without permanent dye you could've used the red protein filler at sallys. It works wonderfully ❤
