      You have dark eyebrows so not too pale a blonde. Maybe a honey blonde/ brown,or just lighter brown highlights to add dimension..

    I agree BlondMe is fantastic. I am amateur not a hairdresser and I have shoulder length very dark brown hair and I am now a 10 blonde for 1 year. (my hair is colour of inside of peeled banana/pale blonde)
    I use Schwarzkopf as follows:
    Hair Bleaching-
    20 vol Blondme
    1: 1 ratio with
    BlondeMe 9 powder
    8 scoops/Tablespoon Powder
    8 scoops Liquid
    (I do not weigh it as it's equal 1:1 proportions.
    35 minutes= perfect in winter temperature with shower cap on. Check at various intervals.
    Toner -
    Igora Royal 6% (20 vol) Developer (Red bottle oil based)
    Igora Royal color tube 9.0
    1:1 ratio
    35 minutes with shower cap on.
    The toner also gives me that extra 1 to 2 levels lift.
    Result: pale buttery blonde. Very happy using these products no issues.
    Preparation is key. Section section section! Use duckbill clips and use small sections of hair. If your arms get tired easily then have a friend help to do the application of the bleach as it needs to get on fast on both sides to be even.

    • @cheekymonkeygirl3378
      @cheekymonkeygirl3378 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I'd this means yoi bleach each section and wash each section off? 😢 I find your comment helpful. Why do I need a toner if I'm using Schwarkpof developer and powder?

    • @Antoinette14273
      @Antoinette14273 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @cheekymonkeygirl3378 I section hair first. I apply Bleach/Dev to all sections and subsection (you subdivide that section with a rattail comb). Then leave desired time with shower cap on. Then I wash it out thoroughly.
      After it has dried completely, or the next day I then apply toner. I do not section for toner. I apply toner all over wearing gloves obviously.
      If I don't apply toner my hair is very pale, like I said it is colour of inside of a banana peel.
      The toner fills in the hair and makes it buttery light gold toned. Toner gives it dimension.

    • @ConstanzeC
      @ConstanzeC หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thank you very much for your description! But I wonder why you use a ratio 1:1 though according to the manufacturer the 9+ powder should only be used from 1:1,5 to 1:2,5 ...

    Thanks for this Hair Buddha! I watch a lot of colour corrections from Bobby Hair studio it's one of her specialties. She loves the Blonde Me products and one thing she preaches is FRESH BOWLS! Don't just mix a big bowl of lightner and expect the same result from bleach that's been sitting in your bowl developing for 30 minutes as you would get with freshly mixed product.

    Today I tried BlondMe 9+ bleach powder, with 20 volume and the ash additive on my daughter's hair. She has natural virgin hair at the moment (we've done a split dye in the past and kept it good for a year...yes I was doing her roots every 4 weeks). She wanted some lighter sections in her hair so she could do the Calico hair (mostly her natural brown with some ash blonde and small sections of apricot...a light orange). Mixed up the bleach mix to your formula (only did half a batch) and used foils and she now has her very light ash blonde sections she wanted and her hair doesn't even feel like it's damaged at all. Worth the extra money to get such amazing results with just one application. Love this video and I love the reaction video's too.

      I do the 3 sections method (2 sides and 1 scalp) for 25 years now and am one of 'these home people'. Also I use 2 different developpers on lengths and roots, put oil on my points and work in several steps. I prepare 9 main sections and several subsections before bleaching because I have no assistance and too much hair. 😅 I do mèches or sometimes balayage, never all hair, so I always go nuts everytime I do my hair. It takes hoooours.
      Sometimes I think about going to a hairdresser, but simply can't ever afford it (a good professional - not a hairbleacher - is very expensive in the country I live in).

    Ive been bleacing my hair at home for a while now. After experimenting with vol. I found out i can get my roots from a level 6 to a level 10 with 7 vol with blonde me. The nice thing about using low vol is that i don't get any banding even if i have long roots and slapp bleach on all of it at the same time. I just let the hair bake for a longer time and I end up with a nice, even, pale yellow result ready for my green fashion color. Works every time.

    BlondMe is all my stylist uses - gives the best results and keeps the hair soft. She always gets me some from the beauty supply warehouse she goes to so I can keep a little bit at home when I want to redo my teenager’s ends (he has his ends bleached to do different temporary colors) when we can’t make it in to the salon with him as she is a decent drive away and he’s always been real finicky with how his hair is touched (very sensitive scalp). She showed me how to do extremely fine layers with sectioning it out and backcombing just a tiny bit to have it blend so it doesn’t give a harsh line … and it’s always turned out so well. The ends stay soft and shiny.
    Also smells really nice, too. I’ve always loved the smell of bleach powder mixed with developer, but the BlondMe stuff is kind of a fruity scent that isn’t overwhelming. Their toners are real lovely, too.

    Got to say, I might be a boring person, but I think the theory is fascinating! Love learning about all of it and have def got better at doing my roots etc the more I learn, even if it’s way off from a proper hair dresser!x

      @@hair-buddhaI love it! Been using 20vol with blondeme for a while now and would never go back! My husband does the back for me thankfully but think if I shout “use fine sections” at home again he might refuse to help anymore!😂😂 I’ve told him I’m gonna get him one of your T-shirts for his birthday!😂😂❤

      Putting the mask on the ends of the hair to the test and see if it helps at the moment! Hoping it’s all ok!😂 obvs using my blondeme and 20vol! Trying a semi-permanent colour this time as well instead of a toner to see if my hair feels any healthier after with no developer in it! One day I’ll stop experimenting when I’ve finally got it all sussed!😂

    Yessss. I'm tempted to maintain my blonde on my own since my hair lady messed up last time and overlapped my last root touch up and I had lots of breakage... I told myself, no more.... but now that my hair is back to "normal" im seeing how good it looks again 😆 ugh I'm so tempted to stay blonde before my roots grow out too much and it becomes a more expensive process

      I'm sorry to hear about your breakage from the overlapping. Absolutely do it yourself or even better get a friend or family member to help. I've been to 5 different hairdressers over the past 2 years trying to find a good hairdresser. Too many hair fails, overlapping, breakage, uneven level, its embarrassed to go in public because it looks like i dont care about my hair. It can be traumatising.

    Love your video, it is very detailed, interesting and understandable, nice 💐👍🏻. I learned clearly that I would not be skillful enough to this with all of my hair. Maybe I might try one of the toners, as far as I understood, this would not do much damage. Thank you dear hair Buddha.

    My hair is mostly silver and white. I do have some of my natural light brown-mousy brown color in it (mostly in back and back sides). Because I have a long pixie, I can see when my hair grows out the patches of natural hair still there (I’m about 90% silver-white). So I will use a 20 volume or 10 volume on my hair to even out the patches then I tone it. I would say my hair is a level 10 on those natural patches because they come out yellow, not orange. Your videos are very informative and I have learned a lot doing my own hair from you and your recommendations. 🥰❤

    I have dark ash blonde hair and have been bleaching my hair for over 20 years... you definitely learn from your mistakes 🙈
    I bleach my roots every 2 months with blond me bleach powder (new packaging now) and blond me 6%... first the front of my head for 40-45 minutes, rinse and then the back of my head for 40-45 minutes!
    For me it's less stressful this way and I don't have too much bleach on my scalp at once (I once had a short phase where I had an allergic reaction, it might have been because of the no-name brand at the time)!
    Then I put a toner on and finally my pastel pink (directions with conditioner)...

    Watching and seeing the colour chart i can see i'm a level 5/6 now natural. And when i look at my baby pictures i'm a level 9...wow i had very light hair. I asked my hubby what he thought of the really light blond colour and he liked it but only if it is done by a professional 😁. He heard you often enough screeming "take small sections" to know that i should not attempt it to do it allone and i agree.

    Sir, you are fantastic, and I enjoy your videos. You are so informative. That baldie looks amazing on you. It's only a select few that have a perfect shaped head for it. It's been about two years since I've gone blonde, so i used the Lightening Kit for Dark and Lovely, and my hair looks a hot ass mess. My hair is 3c-4a. Owee! Something went left somewhere, and now my roots are blonde, and the rest of it is orange. I'm dreadding having to correct it. It looks disgusting! Idk what happened. I did the middle to ends first, then the roots. 😩 The good thing is the elasticity and texture of my hair is still there. It did pretty good on not feeling like a brick.😂

    This is a very thorough and very interesting video, thank you! I've been wanting to bleach my hair for a while and go ginger, but I'm still not sure if I'll do it. I have virgin hair, hip-length, Asian texture, it is pretty heavy and very dark, almost black, so I'm afraid of ruining it. I guess I'll wait and see if I'm better off getting a wig lol, I'm still not sure!!

      I obviously have no say, but nothing will look better or be healthier than what nature gave you. I have fingertip length hair and I cannot imagine wasting all that work! I would vote wig, if I had a vote. I can only say I would regret it in your place.

    I love to do fantasy colors in my hair and when I decide it’s time to bleach , blonde me it’s my go to. I have super dark hair and it will lift to a blonde (banana yellow color) so you have to be sure to keep an eye on it. But for gods sake , section, never overlap, and follow the mixing directions. It works beautifully.

    Thank you so much!! Since I've been following your account (including listening very carefully 😊) my hair colour is nearly perfect (it's platinum without any yellow). But one last question came into my mind: you showed how to apply on the lengths. But when do you do the roots/scalp? As I have very short hair I do not have so much trouble to blond me by myself. But I am curious regarding the roots. And thank you very much for your great video! Best regards from Munich.

    🙌🏼 thank you!! Love your videos, so informative! the theory and technical details are amazing; no other videos go there, or if they do it seems like they either dont know it well enough to teach to others or they just dont know period, and are repeating things they heard years ago but are only giving part of the information.., probably cause thats all they have or know
    I shouldn't say only you, craigs world of hair gets into the proper theory as well, but the two of you are literally the only ones. Others Ive found never explain the methods to the maddness and knowing the rational behind why things are done the way they are keeps my adhd brain from looking for "more effecient" ways..., (lets be honest, unless I understand why something is done a certain way i look for short cuts 😳😂 not cause im lazy but because I think its un necessarily time consuming)
    Thanks hairbuddah❤
