      The incompetence was so bad, that I started serious thinking it was a hoax, like another season of jury duty. Unfortunately it’s real and thank goodness for her attorney, but I wondering how many people are sitting behind bars right now based on this absolute embarrassment of law enforcement and DA. It’s bad enough to be falsely convicted, or not get a fair trial, but when I imagine getting convicted at the hands of these clowns, somehow that seems so much worse.

    I 100% agree with the verdict! Although the events the day of accident sound odd to some....anyone that has been on the receiving end of a verbally/physically abusive spouse unfortunately understands this all too well! I've left to go sleep in my car, I've had yo get a hotel room middle of the night, I've had to turn cameras on and off to avoid poking the bear. I get it. I'm actually happy for her!

  • @sapete1936

    It was an appalling decision to charge this lady. A few hours of interrogation and investigation would have given any halfwit all the information needed to see that this was a tragic accident, and nothing more. Putting her and the family of her husband through this charade was a totally unnecessary, and no doubt very painful for them to have to relive the whole sad episode. And all for an attempted ego boost for an over zealous prosecutor who has made himself look completely incapable.

    • @stacycobb4173
      @stacycobb4173 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Why did they even charge her to begin with? Was there any evidence that he was even hit by a vehicle? If not I don't see how they were even able to charge her. That's insane!

    • @sapete1936
      @sapete1936 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@stacycobb4173 the only reason I can come up with, is possibly a prosecutor who could see the huge publicly that this case generated, and saw it as an opportunity to have his fifteen minutes of fame. Well that backfired spectacularly. Essentially he took a case to court that had no business being there and then did such a poor job that he just looked foolish. Thank goodness the jury made the decision they did and there wasn’t a miscarriage of justice, adding insult to injury. Hopefully all the people involved can now get on with their lives and begin the healing process. Very sad.

    I did not watch this trial LIVE...
    I just viewed an interview of "the husband's brother" speaking on the verdict...
    😠He made a claim that she lied! *Prove it!* if that is what you and your family felt...I would have contacted the Prosecutor's Office before the case was over! (They)both sides have the right to re-address any questions or responses by calling a person back to the stand...
    *He(this brother) was not prepared when asked to share those lies*...
    IF you're going to give examples of lies...
    have them written down in order!
    ("His claims") she lied multiple times on the stand and he gave random thoughts of her alleged lies...(pictures of her wounds were taken the next day)
    🤬This guy claims bruises and wounds will not show up the next day!🙄I do not know what type of gator skin you have "but most people no matter the race will have an immediate bruising and it will get worse in colors as it goes through the different phases of healing"....

    False witness against your brother is sin, same as muder under Our Lords ruling.
    Deuteronomy 16
    18 Judges and officers shalt thou make thee in all thy gates, which the LORD thy God giveth thee, throughout thy tribes: and they shall judge the people with just judgment.
    The judges shall inquire diligently, and if the witness is a false witness and has accused his brother falsely, 19 then you shall do to him as he had meant to do to his brother. So you shall purge the evil[c] from your midst. 20 And the rest shall hear and fear, and shall never again commit any such evil among you

    She was suspect at first then the prosecution was miserable at taking this anywhere. Not guilty - fair enough I guess.

      I wonder if the roles were different...would the verdict be the same?? would women be cheering the dude for killing his wife/GF with his truck and left her dead with major injuries....she be found quilty of involuntary manslaughter? If I was drinking and accidently hit someone I would be charged with something.

    I don't think she intended to kill him but I feel she knew she hit him, just didn't think it was fatal. Neither were strangers to domestic violence, this was just another night for them. What is troubling is neither of them had a problem driving around drunk. Sounds like that was probably common. Luckily they never killed any innocent people. Just my 2 cents.
