- In 1995, Susan Smith was sentenced to life for drowning her young sons. Now, the child killer is up for parole and allegedly looking for love.
#SusanSmith, who’s serving a life sentence for killing her 2 sons in 1995, is up for parole next November. She doesn’t have much support from her family, but there are at least 6 men with whom Smith exchanges flirty messages with from behind prison walls.

I was a young mother when this happened and watched her fake tears on tv as she pleaded for her boys, knowing the whole time what she had done. She should never get parole. How is this justice for those sweet boys?

She should never be released. This woman doesn't think rules apply to her even in prison. She wants what she wants and will do or eliminate anyone that stands in her way. What she did to her babies was beyond cold hearted and cruel. Your first instinct as a mom is to protect your babies at all costs yet she watched them drowned. That shows that she is capable of anything and is a danger to everyone around her. That's just my opinion. I don't think she has ever felt remorse for her disgusting actions. She needs to stay locked up the rest of her life.
No sentence will ever bring back those babies, and it won't take away the pain that she inflicted on her husband and his family and everyone who loved those boys.

I had just gotten married when this happened and wanted kids so bad! We struggled for years with infertility. I remember being so shocked and angry for what she did. Life with no parole. She deserves to spend her entire life in prison!

He was from a rich family and she was far from that. And had children. He didn’t want her with kids and didn’t want her even if she didn’t have kids.

Agreed, I remember so much of this case I did my thesis on it in college, the family that loved precious Michael and Alex never got to give them a proper goodbye. Due to them being in the water so long the family didn’t get to view their bodies and the casket they were in had to be closed at all times. I am glad that David found love and had a daughter. I don’t know if he had more but I know he had at least one more child.
Susan smith is not a good person yes people change but there’s nothing that excuses what she did. Those babies suffered an agonizing death and were scared to death before they died.

Her husband loved them and would have taken them and raised them, she didn’t have to put them in a car and watch in roll into a pond with them strapped in their car seats. That's not true though. The only time they mentioned the boys hands in the trial testimony is when the diver said they saw a little hand against the window when they dove into the lake. You can read the entire trial transcript. No one ever said that.

I very much remember when she killed her young children, something I didn't know that she flirted with the Police then, the thing were she talked about going to the beach. At that time I thought she did a horrible thing but I thought she had a lot of remorse, but what I learned now makes me think that she is a killer without any kind of feeling. I for the life of me, do not understand how in the world she could be up for parole! It's CRAZY!! She killed her 2 young boys just so she could be with a man! It's sad, they would be in their 30s now, living life; maybe married with kids of their own.
I remember this horrific case so clearly💔. Susan could have easily given the boys to their dad but chose to drown them😢. The little hand that could be seen from the back of the car is haunting as it went into the water. Part of me says she did a lot of time and deserves another chance, but the other part of me says let it go. I believe she hopefully has grown from what she did and can move forward in a productive manner. However, she did get life, not 29 years. Her boys were so sweet and precious. They should be here living their best lives💙🙏💙🧸🧸.
Her ex should not have to fight to keep her jailed. The judicial system often fails the victims😢.

The state of South Carolina has no such sentence as "Life without parole" in murder cases it's either "Life" with the possibility of parole or a death sentence. She narrowly avoided a death sentence. Just because she is technically eligible for parole after 30 years does in no way mean parole will be granted and in her case I doubt it will ever be granted.

No no no way sbe should ever be released. Her precious little boys died a horrific death and the sheer terror they must habe felt as the went under in just heartbreaking. She strapped her boys in the car 😢😢
