Wife listening from across the room said, “Did he just say assault the first victim? I thought that was a sawmill video”. 😂 Thanks for the video, Mark👍
Nice video Mark, i like that spruce - seems to mill pretty well. I was thinking oh crap when that board fell off the head block, but you handled it perfect, experience is very nice to have. Many people to not realize how fast something can go wrong and could turn out to be a very dangerous situatin. As i have mentioned before you guys are great at safety, 100%. Many times, including this video, i have heard you say, i am watching Eddie's fingers, or i need to wait til Eddie clears. That is fantastic, and like you mentioned in this video, main thing do not panic, slow down and move along. :) Thanks... guys.
Ya’ll need to put out wanted posters for ZZ Mark. That rascal. I miss him. Mark. You are your own master. You and T. H. E. Eddie Horvath make the rules. If your viewers don’t like it, that’s their problem. You have over 30 years experience cutting. No need apologize for what you do. You da man! Love the videos. Keep em coming. Thank you. 😊
I have watched all of your videos from day One, I love them all, you have taught Me Many things, I had a Wood Shop class in 7 Th Grade, We only made things on a Lathe , and table saws, I fell in love with wood, the Grains and all, But I became a believer that every piece of wood has a Purpose, no matter what it is, Some of the logs you cut the bark off and turn it over, and Certain pieces have a look that is A Wood Carvers Dream, My Best, Cousin Figel
Five o’clock in the morning nice boards coming out of a knotty old log ,todays job brazing up a damaged casting someone tried with an arc welder and made a mess , clean his mess up then start the repair a it’s a warms day , any way you guys have a nice day
FYI: C.F. Martin guitar co. in Nazareth Pa. uses clear grain spruce for all their instruments. They use only Pennsylvania grown , harvested and sawn blue spruce!
I used many, many rough cut 2X4s from the local sawmill in Vermont in the 1970s. And just like the rough sawn and even pit sawn wall framing I dealt with and repaired in Massachusetts, you swing a hatchet/hammer. One face drives your nails,, the other face trims the over large faces to allow drywall or plaster. Your 2X4 s are ridiculously accurate. From what I have seen here,, ya don't need the hatchet on your stock.
Hey guys. I wish I were home I would be up to help y'all. Love helping out. Be home soon. Good to see Pete is doing so good ! Stay safe and God bless. Hope ZZ gets back soon.
It is always good to see you. I do not know what it is but it is so neat to see the log being cleaned and squared. Almost had a accident; glad that you caught it.
Hope you all are doing well and are happy with your collective lives and still enjoying what you are doing. I also hope that you have an enjoyable time at the meet and greet. Due to having come down with COVID once again I have to stay home.
Your lumber is true to measurement, i.e. 2x4, 2x6, 1x12, so when someone buys this lumber or you saw to order, how much shrinkage happens after it leaves your place? A 2x4 from a lumber yard or building suppler is not ever a true 2x4. So if a builder uses your fresh lumber, how much does it differ in the end product?
Cutting 2 x 4's is getting boring. Change things up and cut some 4 x 2's every once in a while. Also that Wayne guy needs to help out if he's gonna keep hanging around!
just "LOVE" your sawing, brings back very fond memerories and I also love the work that both of you "Eddy" do and you and it "does show that you both are have ben working together for quite some time and the respect between the two/three, show to one another, "JUST" simply "GREAT" michael in pg bc. can.
It's good to see you helping Dan. I've tailed a sawmill and it's no easy task keeping up with the mill.
Good evening from Lincolnshire UK.
good evening Andrew.

How thick of a piece can you send through the edger? I'll see you next video. Corsica is just a little too far for me to drive these days.
Bill
MOST BIG BOX STORES DON'T CARE WHAT 2X4s look like-lot of knots and bark edges
very true.
Corsica is a nice area. I miss Pa.. Stuck here in Oklahoma.
yes it is Floyd north of us.
👍🤸♀️🤸♂️🤸
the gnome is deep in man glitter
You should have flipped that last wide board 180 degrees and you wouldn’t have had that board dropped.

It's too bad you're so far away from me. I would get a kick out of helping you while you're sawing.
Especially when ZZ is on the run 😂😂
Looks simple. Very much doubt it though ❤❤
Also, aren't 8" wide boards worth a few $$£ ?
Beautiful timber.

Part of me wishes I lived a lot closer. I'd love to fill in for ZZ, even though I don't have the majestic beard or experience.
thank you , the beard may take some time to grow lol.

this is what the customer wanted a full 2x4 , stores sells 1-1/2x 3-1/2 as a 2x4.
Yep, things go a bit slower when Eddie is out there solo!
What is the kerf on your blade?
9/32"
What transpired with the kiln?
it's on hold.
Eddie, needs help on those heavy flitches 💪🏻
yes he did.
Been enjoying you for long time BUT I have Never seen the laser
thank you Kim, just look for the green line.
I saw it once, but I think it was a fake. LOLOL.
That could have been really bad (23.00 mark). 😳
yes it could have.
any dogs up dogs down today for the Kids no booms
yes we did.
😛😛😛😛😛😛😛❤❤❤❤❤👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Why don't you get crazy sometimes and cut some 5×3s. I used those and they make good rafters for a small building.n
if someone orders them lol.
Good time to paint those doggies red since your going away
for sure.
In a different lifetime ago, I had a grading ticket. Explain to people what you mean about knot size 8' face vs 4' face.
I sure will.
Why do you call the Detroit Diesel "the bus motor". Was it's first life in a bus? Ron Sheldon
Safety 1st, camera unimportant.
very true.
Please don’t shoot the dogs.

It's never boring when that saw is spinning and can cut anything that gets too close.
that's a good one Herman , yes we get rid of Wayne at the end of each video lol!
