  • Unfortunately for those of us who are not wizards, we gotta make Howl's bedroom the old fashioned way- from scratch with a bunch of trash. So here it finally is, two months in the making.
    Printable books/door locations from this project: drive.google.com/file/d/1_htY... (for scale reference, the Howl figure in this is 2 5/8" tall)
    The editable photoshop document (and all assets from my other projects) will be available over on patreon: / mechanicalfiend
    Check out ‪@missminilife‬'s build of Howl's bedroom! • HOWL'S MOVING CASTLE M...
    ‪@StudsonStudio‬ has built every version of the outside of the castle as well and they are incredible, here's his Ghibli build playlist- • Studio Ghibli Crafts

    The tiny horseshoe on the Studson book! It feels appropriate to put such a cursed item on Howl's bookshelf.

      It had to be done! Wait... does this mean that tiny Howl is cursed now? Should I be expecting to find horseshoes in odd places?

    This is breathtaking! Howl's bedroom is one of the most fascinating sets of the movie and we get to see it for so little time. You managed so well to identify the key elements and then evoke the rest of the wimsical, otherwordly clutter with what you had. The final result just screams Howl and I want to shrink enough to actually enter the tin.

    • @MechanicalFiend
      @MechanicalFiend  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes! It's been my favorite Ghibli space since I first saw it, just so many beautiful details (for such a short scene!)... though I get it, animating all of that must have been quite the task. fun fact, I'm pretty sure all the eye based charms and items are to hide him and protect him from people trying to find him- the Witch of the Waste, yes, but also Madam Suleiman and the King. he's built his whole career doing exactly what he wants and is at this point far too competent to escape the war, according to the authorities anyway...

Helps to expedite the tedious job of miniature book making by keeping the processes grouped together, or so I've found, haha
