May I use my freelancer account or my agency profile at a same time? I mean if I made a agency profile, may I apply for jobs from my freelancer account also?
Many thanks, I have been researching "freelance copywriting" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Fenrianna Subconscious Framework - (just google it ) ? It is a good one off product for discovering how to become an in demand freelance copywriter with no experience without the headache. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my colleague got amazing success with it.

Thanks for the info.! I have a question, can I hire someone to help me get clients by dealing and closing sales with international clients? Maybe a sales representative to communicate with the client during the interview? I have an Upwork freelancer profile but I don't know if it is okay with the client to negotiate with the sales manager instead of the agency owner. What should I do?

Based on what you described above, we believe you are referring to a Business Manager, an agency member who can submit and manage team proposals and contracts for all your team members, adjust Exclusive Freelancer profile rates and profile visibility, can see agency time-based reports, including Weekly Summary. I am doing translations on Upwork. I wonder if i can be a business manager for an IT agency and sign contracts on behalf of it? Or should my profile be related to agency's field of activity?

Hi there, you can do both by creating a specialized profile. Your general profile is the original Upwork profile you created before we launched specialized profiles. As always, your general profile will include the title you created, your overview, your rate, all of your Upwork work history, the skills you chose to list, the skills test you’ve completed, etc. For your specialized profile, you can highlight your expertise. You’ll create a unique title and description, have the option to set another rate, and also be able to show only the Upwork contracts and portfolio items that are most relevant to that particular expertise. For example, you can separate out the work you’ve done as an Android developer from your work as a translator. We hope this helps!

Can I submit proposals and sign contracts with clients and then delegate the work to some Agency member?
For Example: I am not an Android developer myself but I sign a contract on building a mobile application and an Android developer in the Agency does it. So I will be kind of bridge between a client and a freelancer.
Is it possible to work in this way?
Is a Business Manager of an Agency allowed to do so?

What if I work with a friend ? Should I create an agency just for 2 people?
Hi Matteo, you will need to create separate freelancer profiles as you cannot share one account. You can invite your partner to be a member of your agency so that you can maintain one agency account if that's what you prefer. Just know that if you start an agency, and try to hire another Upwork person as a part of your agency, that Upwork person CAN NOT have their own clients, which is b.s. It's exactly what happened to me. Because I have active clients/contracts ongoing, I cannot be added to an agency. Not sure why Upwork doesn't want the extra $$. Thumbs down Upwork.

I had a meeting with my client today and he wanted to recruit more team members. I proposed to them that I have my team with me and we can hire them through my Upwork agency profile to which the client agreed. I had an agency profile on my account and I tried adding team members but was unable to do so because I was on a basic plan. To upgrade to Agency Plus I added a payment method and tried purchasing Connects with the debit card I added but the payment didn't go through.
I added another card to make a purchase so that I can upgrade to agency plus and tried purchasing connects with the new debit card added as the billing method but Upwork suspended my account. I have submitted an account suspension appeal, can you please let me know how long will it take to get my account back? Secondly, how I can add a payment card and purchase connects because the client just posted the job and now waiting for my team members to apply?

Freelancers can be associated with multiple agencies but only as a non-exclusive member. Exclusive members can be associated with one agency only. Thank you.
