Richen both the high and low just a little bit. Enough to make it push a good blue cloud out of the exhaust. Then just sit and hit the throttle a couple times real fast and if there are any leaks you'll see the blue smoke leaking wherever it is leaking

Hpi savage 4.6 big block wont spin flywheel when cranking with rotostart unless i loosen the glow plug till its just about completely falling out...what might my issue be? I pulled glow plug and disconnected hose from exhaust pipe to clear out and flooding and put back together and still get the same result...fuel is dripping onto flywheel but cant tell where its coming from...any help would be appreciated!

I had the same problem with an exceed 1 \ 16 blur the small engine .08 piston stuck in the top of the cylinder after several runs it still does When it's cold I heat the cylinder with a small torch To avoid it getting stuck the first time it gets stuck do not pull on the crank so as not to break it stay in the hands to avoid it this turn the flywheel directly with the hands For a faster break-in do not only use 100% sintetic oil 50 50 wit castor oil is best have you ever seen an engine on infinite running-in Good sign that the fuel mixture is very good My engine is performing very well but still stuck if I pull the rope slowly When the engine is cold
@@huckaberryfpv4986 In this specific case, loosening the glow plug does not change much On the other hand, heating the head of the engine really helps It is a good idea to place the piston at the low point should help so that the piston does not get stuck when cooled.😀
I have savage 4.6 big block. Started it up yesterday and ran for 10-20 seconds then started reving like crazy. The carb slide was still the same. It’s around 1 ml opening. Would this indicate a lean lsn? Thanks mate
Hi a question got a ftx torro sometimes when I go full throttle then comes to a stop it ticks over then it cuts does the lsn needle need to be more richer .
During engine break in process, my engine is running in idle speed for 3mins and then it's revving High automatically. And now I am not able to pull the starter cable to crank the engine. Please help me with your guidance.
I have problem with ftx carnage nt.... I tried tuning it but messed up as now car won't start with out easy start and when it runs car off floor it over revs it's self... If I try to drive it it cuts out..... Question:how do I reset it back to factory settings?

@@HaggardRC foolishly, I had one loose on break in and wasn't noticeable until the engine got too hot. Then the fuel started coming out the plug. This wasn't noticed right away and I started to tune it after a few tanks. The idle and lsn were adjusted to compensate for the plug sucking in air. Afterwards checked the idle gap and it was very small 0.25 - 0.5 mm (hyper 7) ...tried to start it next day, no hope. The needles were so far out for when the engine was hot, it wouldn't start cold. Solution - clean threads of head and fit new plug nice and tight this time, needles almost back to factory. The needles were so low, no fuel was getting through to prime. Works good now, luckily I was taking it easy...love your video mate, appreciate your advice

What if it’s forcing gas out the top of the head send and burning it as it comes up past the glo plug. The plug it’s slef is good I’ve checked it

Try when your done driving to set piston to bottom dead center,and heat up engine before next start,and you can loosen glow plug at initial start.

Probably something around there yeah, could be where it was warming up too and the tick over was a bit too high.
hi gr8 video i just bought a second hand tmaxx 3.3 and it wont start any idea what i can try
Check the glow plug, check the fuel pipe is clear, check the carb is clean and get the engine nice and hot with a heat gun.

There could be many reasons. Take the glow plug out and see if it’ll turn over then.

Check the manual or search manual online. But usually needles being flush is factory settings

Is it possible that the glow plug is slightly loose but still able to start the engine?
Yeah could be, I’ve never had one Rev up when the plug is loose though personally 🧐
