Hello, I have the Eos R8 and when I put it in HDR PQ, the PP profiles only let me use Normal, Landscape, Portrait, Neutral. Why won't it let me use a custom one of the 3 user memories it has? This isn't right. I want to record at 10 bits with my own profile on my camera, to give a more film-like profile as desired, and the camera won't let me.
Great video sir! I currently own the Canon R10 and looking for a 2nd camera . Should I look at the R8 or R7. I strictly shoot video doing short films and music videos.
Sir, I just learned many things from watching your video. For example, what LUT means, and about the different filters you mentioned. You did not address a major flaw the R8 has, and that is the major reason I very probably won't by the R8 - the overheating problem when shooting in 4K 60ips. I live in the Caribbean (Guadeloupe) so I believe that I should buy a camera that has an internal fan, like the Panasonic Lumix S5 II or Sony FX30, since I plan to shoot in 4K 60ips and up.
great thank you for your outstanding video. as i see you are doing some outdoor urban and exterior architecture photography. just wondered your idea on how good is canon R8 when it comes to real estate photo shoot considering RAW format showing details in shadow? thank you
It's great. The raw photos have a lot of latitude for grading and you also have uncropped 60p so if you need to do real estate videos it's also quite capable.
I’m new to your channel and film however I purchased majority of the accessories through your links. Thank you for the amazing content you have a new follower. In addition, after watching your other videos it makes me want to return my r8 and get a EOS R or M50 what do you think? I will be mainly using this camera for video.
I am a aviation spotter from the Caribbean and I currently using the Canon M6 Mark 2 for my TH-cam videos....I have had my eyes the R8 for a while for an upgrade, i have a lot of EF and EFS lenses :) !! lovely video I just subscribe
Canon R6 is also really cheap now on the used market for similar features, but has IBIS, better battery life, can still use the adapter, there absolutely zero reasons to go with newer Canon RF glass unless you absolutely need perfection, the EF glass is so cheap on the used market nowadays that its a no brainer.
i just bought eos R50 + kit lense and 50mm 1.8 lense for my son, but i want another camera for me for new hobby in photography. should I buy eos R8 or Fujifilm Xs-20 ?
thanks for the informative video but noticed that your link for Meike EFT-R ND Adapter for EF Lenses in the description take you to a K&F adapter. This is the same on your R6 Mkii video too :)
Thanks for the heads up. I think it might have something to do with clicking the link from outside the US. Unfortunately if the product isn't available in your country it will show a substitute product instead.
I've been tasked with recording my son's middle school play (he got the lead so the pressure is on). My budget is about $2k. I was thinking about getting the Canon EOS R8, but i'm not sure what lens I need. I'll be near the sound booth, so probably 50 feet away. Maybe a tripod too and definitely looking at the double battery. Any recommendations for SD card and sound recording would be great as well.
Thank you very much for this video. Is it really difficult to do night city photography with this camera using a lens with no IS like 50mm f/1.8? We are planning to use this camera for our travels. Thank you
IT isn't too bad. IBIS is a new thing. People been taking good city/ skyline photos for decades. The quickest way to overcome any issues is a tripod but once you know what you are doing you can also get nice handheld shots although IBIS does make that much easier. If you prefer IBIS consider the R7
Please I need advice🙏🏼! I'm not sure which Canon camera to buy under 2000euros. Canon R8 seems like a great choice but many people are saying that they are overheating and kinda low battery life. I like canon 90D(because of full frame,4K,great battery life,sturdy...) but there are more RF lenses that are better than EF lenses. So lenses would be my only problem, i am just wondering if EF lenses are still good for profesional photoshootings like RF ones. Another choice is R10 but its not full frame and i am not sure it will be good enough for more profesional use maybe. I am mostly focused on photography not videography for now(portraits, animals, destinations) but i would still like to see how 4K video would look like if I took it. Please some honest advice🙏🏼❤️
I am looking to upgrade to this R8 full frame from the R50. I have a Nisi 9mm f2.8 RF lens. With the crop on the R50, it's a 13.5mm full frame equivalent, which is great for what I do, real estate photography and videography. But is this too wide? I can always just move in closer. Interested to know your thoughts on this.
For full frame I think 9mm is way on the ultrawide side of things. If it is rectilinear that would help a bit with the distortions but may still look a little weird/stylised. Personally I find 16mm in full frame terms to be the sweet spot for real estate stuff.
@FulaanCreative Fulaan I purchased your LUTs to support you. Don't know where this content creator journey will take me., but I wanted to thank you by supporting you, thanks a lot in teaching me a lot on this journey!
The numbering was a little quirky but there was more than 5 things. They were Resolving the overly sharp video, ND Adapter, 3 recommended EF lenses, Battery life solution, LUTs, EOS Remote APP, Recommended SmallRig Light.
I'm on the fence right now about the R8 and I would have appreciated the review if I did video but I don't and most likely won't. Nevertheless, all cameras have short comings...wait what, it didn't wake me up and make me coffee? come on man, if I get the camera, it will do what I need it to do.
Although am subscribed and have on notifications, I didn't receive a notification or see your video and my subscription feed. The only reason I saw it was because I looked up info on the Canon R8
Thanks for letting me know! I appreciate it. I turned off notifications for this video to run a little research experiment. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Hey! Great video man, keep it up! So you used de battery grip of the RP, and it didn't give you any compatibility issues?? I believe nobody has mentioned that tip in other review videos. Thank you!
Sometimes It will say that the battery is not a Canon one or something like that but you can just open the battery door and swap the place of the two batteries and it should work just fine.
There are two. One is wide meaning you can fit a lot into the frame from a close distance the other is tight. The wide one is the Canon RF 16mm f2.8 and the other is the Canon RF 50mm f1.8. Both are pretty affordable but super powerful.
@@FulaanCreative thanks for the quick answer. I should’ve indicated that I was planning on getting the ef adapter you suggested. So which lens would you think work. Unless I should just get rf
@@Pastor-Dom Those RF lenses are good to start with. The advantage of the adapter would be built in filters. The advantage of the native lenses is mainly small size and light weight. If I were to go with the adapter and and EF lenses I would get the Tamron 15-30 f2.8. It's not cheap though. If you are looking for good budget options then the two RF lenses are great choices.
Great video! I was hesitating between the R7 and the R8, and finally, I decided to get the R8! I have a question: Does the EF-S 10-22 mm with the adapter work well on the R8? I found a used one at a good price, but I need to know if I'll get good wide-angle pictures or not. Thank you!
You can use that lens but be aware that this lens is designed for apsc as are all EFS lenses. You probably will get vignetting unless you can engage a crop mode.
Just ordered a refurbished R8 from Canon's website for $999. It's my first real camera. Now I need to learn photography. What are some good places to start?
The R8 is the better buy over the S5. Mainly due to the Auto Focus issues of the S5. Now the S5 Mark II is a whole different animal. If budget isn't an issue I'd go for the S5II. If it budget is a concern I'd go for the R8.
Yes it would be very capable of doing that. Even a cheaper Canon like the R50 would a also be more than capable of doing dental / doctor photographs and video.
I'm an autofocus user and have noise problems when I use shotgun mic. I have a R7 + Sigma 18-35 but I'm planning jump to a full frame in the future. What "silent" lenses do you recommend for vlogging?
The Canon EF-S 10-18mm is perfectly silent. If you want a full frame lens the Tamron 15-30 is silent enough for vlogging but not as silent as the 10-18. I have made videos about both if you want to see them in action.
Very Cool and informative video. Yeah I was contemplating upping to Canon RF, but the cost of quality RF glass put me right off !! But a quick Q, do u lose a level of stabilisation if u use EF glass on RF cameras ? Thks.
@@FulaanCreative i had 5d mnii, mkiii and got a m50 cause they where do dam heavy i started getting cramps holding them.. i hate the m50 since noticing how annoying the cropping is and its limitations, everything you say in your videos is dead spot on true but what ppl dont reveal from fear of been banned for not playing along with the marketing game is that the camera companies are exploiting the VIDEO vloggers looking for decent video tools, not photos…a full frame helps allot with lighting, whenever i get my hands on any now i noticed i dont need all the studio lights on, dsm thing can see in the dark and better with candle light, i never got my hands on a R8, is it heavy in the hands when your shooting ?
I really like your videos. Which camera would you recommend, the r8 or the fuji x-s20, I am torn between both of them. I would like to make some nice photos here and then but video is more important to me.
I currently have an canon eos 200d with an canon efs 18-55mm f2.8 lens. Would this camera be a good upgrade? Have my 200d for 6 years now and been looking for an upgrade but want to reuse my lens because it is an f2.8 lens and already have 2 batteries that the r8 also uses.
What is best one that can record for 6 hours like the old vhs? Is there cameras that can have a storage device attached so that it can record 6 hours like old vhs? i have camera and it stops recording at 15 minutes.
Do you think its a big issue that you cannot get RAW video from the HDMI on the r8 for client work or matching color grades to better canon cameras on a shoot? Also is the lack of IBIS a deal breaker even with the battery grip to weigh down the camera or is the lens IS very very good? Im torn between getting either a fx 30 or eos r8 but I may just save and hold for a r6 mark ii for a new A camera (my current is a 5d3 with a modification on it to shoot 4k)
Honestly The whole raw thing is something that very few people will ever use. The file sizes are exorbitant while the increase in quality is there but most likely not worth the larger file sizes.
Hey, I am looking to buy a camera too, and I was also juggling between fx 30 and R8, and haven't looked into the R6. I was curious what did you end up buying?
The camera can overheat in very hot environments but it shouldn't happen unless you are shooting a lot of 60p. If it is happening in stills mode then it might be a bad unit.
@@FulaanCreative What is the average temperature when you're using the camera? I live in a hot tropical country when the weather can be very hot in summer around 33 to 40.
All the third part batteries and battery grips might say that there is a battery issue but if you open up the battery compartment and take the battery out and put it back in it should be ok but it depends on each brand of third party battery I guess. With the battery grip you just switch the place of each battery then the error message goes away.
Good tricks!!!!!! I Own RP and I read Amazon review for third party battery and seems like they are not compatible 😢. How’s the dynamic range? RP really sucks to pull when under exposed. I’m hoping this R8 would be a nice upgrade(especially for the fast e-fps and videos). I shoot my RP with Tamron 24-70 2.8, sigma 85 1.4, Tamron 70-200 4(I don’t recommend…) and canon RF 50 1.8😅
The battery grip may randomly say the batteries are not compatible but if that happens you just switch the places of both batteries and it works after that. The dynamic range and shadow recovery is not on Sony or Lumix Level but it's way better than the RP and EOS R.
This is sooo true for canon r cameras i noticed that i had to turn my sharpness to 0 when using the r10 bc the camera was doing wayyyy to much image process over cooking the image making it tooo crispy
Yeah for real. I also adjust the R10 to bring the sharpness to zero. Actually I think Canon labels it as "Clarity" which I bring down as low as it can go. I think it's like -3 or something like that.
Hey Fulaan, do you have affiliate links for B&H? Totally thinking about buying an R8 soon, but I'm gonna buy through B&H, not Amazon... and your videos are great, and I totally wanna send that affiliate 💵💵💵 your way.
Thanks Dave! I appreciate you looking out for me like that. I don't have a relationship w/ B&H but don't worry. The kind sentiment and comment is more than enough : )
Thank you so much. Planing to get one. I have tons of great EF sigma Art and Canon L lenses. With the adaptor you talked about I think it will be a great solution for me. I’m gonna use it for social media marketing. Shooting businesses, people and product videos. Any input from you will be highly appreciated. For example. What kind of gimbal I should get for it if I am gonna shoot with EF Canon 16-35 ultrasonic L III 2.8, EF Sigma Art 1.4, I don’t think I can mount EF 79-200 2.8 L IS III on it with RF mount and be able to use a gimbal? Thanks again.
Whichever gimbal you get I would recommend getting the one built for cinema cameras like the canon c70. That way it has enough horsepower so to speak to handle whatever mirrorless and lens combo you throw on it. I have the Feyutech scorp pro and it does pretty well but any modern day gimbal that can handle a good payload should do the trick.
Thank you very much for this advice. I might well be canceling buying an R8 after watching. Not sure why down sampling has to be linked with digital sharpening but in my experience it’s terrible for portraits. Also not sure if it’s reasonable to accept companies who want to mess after you own something (no 3rd party lenses) but when you own something you should be able to do whatever floats your boat.
With the addition of the 16mm they now have a wide enough range. Considering the first RF camera came out over 4 years ago and that the 16mm came out less than a year or so ago they spent the bulk of that time without any wide option other than the very expensive 16-35
have you had any experience with overheating while using the R8? everyone seems to be experiencing that, and I'd to know if that's factual or like people being extra on youtube.
It overheats in 4k 60 when shooting in hot weather. I rarely record for longer than a minute at time in 4k 60 so not an a big issue for me. In 4k 24 there isn't any problem.

the PP profiles only let me use Normal, Landscape,
Portrait, Neutral.
If you got the money go for thr R7. It’s got ibis and mechanical shutter
Great informative video. What’s the adaptor called with the ND filters please..
Thanks. It's called the Meike EFTR adapter. Just note that it can only be used with EF & EF-S lenses though.
@ Great, I’m considering the R8 and have the older Canon EF L lenses from my 5D
Hii man. Looking for a better wedding and portraits camera. canon r8 or nikon z6ii...
Which one you will recommend.?
Personally I like Canon but I'm sure the Nikon also has some advantages.
Thank you for dropping serious knowledge. Ha! After only listening for 1 minute, I subscribed! I love following smart people. Thank you!
I appreciate that!
The cankn eos remote app was new to me. Thanks for the helpful video 😊
Glad it was helpful!
Usually with 60 fps people shoot short clips so you can get around the overheating but if you are in a very hot place then maybe it will be an issue
great
thank you for your outstanding video.
as i see you are doing some outdoor urban and exterior architecture photography.
just wondered your idea on how good is canon R8 when it comes to real estate photo shoot considering RAW format showing details in shadow?
thank you
Thanks! I appreciate that. I would keep the R8 over the R or m50 personally.
I am a aviation spotter from the Caribbean and I currently using the Canon M6 Mark 2 for my TH-cam videos....I have had my eyes the R8 for a while for an upgrade, i have a lot of EF and EFS lenses :) !! lovely video I just subscribe
Awesome! Thanks.
I agree. The RF lenses are generally a little smaller and lighter but other than that not much difference.
Do the Canon EF lenses make a big difference from the RF lenses ?
No. Not BIG. Very not big, aspeccialy if you have 20-24 mpxl.
i just bought eos R50 + kit lense and 50mm 1.8 lense for my son, but i want another camera for me for new hobby in photography. should I buy eos R8 or Fujifilm Xs-20 ?
Nice. Personally. like the R8 better. The Auto Focus between Canon and Fuji isn't comparable. Other than that they are both great cameras
@@FulaanCreative thx you for the advice
this Meike MK-EFTR-C VND fits in the Canon R8?
thanks for the informative video but noticed that your link for Meike EFT-R ND Adapter for EF Lenses in the description take you to a K&F adapter.
For SD card the best are the sandisk extreme pro. For sound I'm not sure as each scenario is different
what is the best camera to record quinceaneras? As you know, its a whole day event and constant recording is a must. Thank you for your information.
Any. Just keep it topped off with an Anker charger via usb C.
@@FulaanCreative thank you very much.
Digital Sharpness? Maybe by default the setting crank up try tuning it
Yes for sure but even with that it can still be a little too crunchy at times.
Michael, enjoyed the video! What holder/mount are you using to secure the external battery back to the gimbal? Thanks!
Many EF lenses are just as good and some are even better than RF lenses. They are a little heavier in many cases but still great.
The 90D is not Full Frame though, it’s my current body.
Love the video. My question is with the adapter can I use my t6 canon lenses with the r8. Thanks in advance.
Thanks. yes as along as the are EF or EF-s lenses
@@FulaanCreative Thank you.
@@FulaanCreative Much appreciated, always good advice.
@FulaanCreative Fulaan I purchased your LUTs to support you. Don't know where this content creator journey will take me., but I wanted to thank you by supporting you, thanks a lot in teaching me a lot on this journey!
Thanks man! I really appreciate that.
loved the video, but what happened to the other 2 things to know before buying the r8
The numbering was a little quirky but there was more than 5 things. They were Resolving the overly sharp video, ND Adapter, 3 recommended EF lenses, Battery life solution, LUTs, EOS Remote APP, Recommended SmallRig Light.
@@FulaanCreative oh ok, not all those directly relate to the camera itself tho
I'm on the fence right now about the R8 and I would have appreciated the review if I did video but I don't and most likely won't. Nevertheless, all cameras have short comings...wait what, it didn't wake me up and make me coffee? come on man, if I get the camera, it will do what I need it to do.
Although am subscribed and have on notifications, I didn't receive a notification or see your video and my subscription feed. The only reason I saw it was because I looked up info on the Canon R8
Thanks for letting me know! I appreciate it. I turned off notifications for this video to run a little research experiment. Thanks for watching and commenting!
may I know more about using r8 with ef-s (crop) lenses? It will still be 4k60 but with crop when I will use those ef-s lenses on fullframe r8?
According to the specs it should be as you said - 4K UHD cropped (16:9) 3840 x 2160 (59.94, 50, 29.97, 25, 23.98fps) inter frame (IPB) / (IPB Light)
What’s the best starter lens if you want to create video content but also be able to take good pictures
@@FulaanCreative thank you!!
hello, I was wondering if for the tamrom 15-30 mm lens it is necessary the adapter you recommended on the video
Yes you will need an EF to RF Adapter
Thank you for this video.can you help me? Which camera's autofocus is better? Canon r8 or sony a6700?
Both are great. It's hard to say which is best.
Great video! I was hesitating between the R7 and the R8, and finally, I decided to get the R8! I have a question: Does the EF-S 10-22 mm with the adapter work well on the R8? I found a used one at a good price, but I need to know if I'll get good wide-angle pictures or not. Thank you!
Yes you can get great wide angle shots with it.
You can use that lens but be aware that this lens is designed for apsc as are all EFS lenses. You probably will get vignetting unless you can engage a crop mode.
Does the ND Filter adapter come with the filters or do you have to buy that extra. i couldnt tell from the amazon store.
just comes with ND filter and clear filter. The CPL and Black mist are sold separate.
@@FulaanCreative thanks for the quick reply. seems like a no brainer if you have to use an adapter regardless.
@FulaanCreative R6 or R8 for photography? Both new at the same price.
I prefer the R8
Just ordered a refurbished R8 from Canon's website for $999. It's my first real camera. Now I need to learn photography. What are some good places to start?
th-cam.com/video/g4y3-ic_sYU/w-d-xo.html
I'm stuck between the Canon R8 and Lumix S5. Do you have any advice? I need an all-rounder for photos and videos.
The R8 is the better buy over the S5. Mainly due to the Auto Focus issues of the S5. Now the S5 Mark II is a whole different animal. If budget isn't an issue I'd go for the S5II. If it budget is a concern I'd go for the R8.
@@FulaanCreative Thank you
Do you think this is a good camera for dental photography? Or what is your recommendation within the canon mirrorless range? Thank you
Yes it would be very capable of doing that. Even a cheaper Canon like the R50 would a also be more than capable of doing dental / doctor photographs and video.
For me to use the tameron 15 to 30 f2.8 would i need to get the adapter that you mention before the lenses
Yes you would need the adapter to use that lens
Nice video, so it is my understanding that the adapter will adapt any 3rd party lens including the sigma 150-600mm?
Any EF or EF-s Lens
What lens would you recommend for shooting in a gym where I need good autofocus and low light
The 50mm f1.8 is a good low priced option
I'm an autofocus user and have noise problems when I use shotgun mic. I have a R7 + Sigma 18-35 but I'm planning jump to a full frame in the future.
What "silent" lenses do you recommend for vlogging?
The Canon EF-S 10-18mm is perfectly silent. If you want a full frame lens the Tamron 15-30 is silent enough for vlogging but not as silent as the 10-18. I have made videos about both if you want to see them in action.
Awesome video with great presentation and information. Thanks so much!
Glad it was helpful!
Very Cool and informative video. Yeah I was contemplating upping to Canon RF, but the cost of quality RF glass put me right off !! But a quick Q, do u lose a level of stabilisation if u use EF glass on RF cameras ? Thks.
Thanks! I haven't experienced that at all. The Canon digital IS seems to work the same regardless of which lens you put on it.
Thks !
is it possible to have a speed boost adopter with Nd filer for this camera and RF lenses?
Unfortunately not
@@FulaanCreative i had 5d mnii, mkiii and got a m50 cause they where do dam heavy i started getting cramps holding them.. i hate the m50 since noticing how annoying the cropping is and its limitations, everything you say in your videos is dead spot on true but what ppl dont reveal from fear of been banned for not playing along with the marketing game is that the camera companies are exploiting the VIDEO vloggers looking for decent video tools, not photos…a full frame helps allot with lighting, whenever i get my hands on any now i noticed i dont need all the studio lights on, dsm thing can see in the dark and better with candle light, i never got my hands on a R8, is it heavy in the hands when your shooting ?
Does the autofocus on the 24-70mm tamron lens + the adapter work properly? Thanks in advance!
Yes works great

You are very welcome : )
Hello! When shooting a video, I have a “jerky” picture when moving. I shoot 25 frames, shutter speed 50. Please tell me what could be the problem?
If you are panning to quickly that might be the issue.
With a PD powerbank you can run the camera all day long as well!
Thanks for the suggestion : )
I use nikon d5300, nd would like to upgrade to full frame... Should I go for r8 or sony a 7c or sony a 7iii ??
I like the Lumix S5II the best. After that the Canon R8

I really like your videos. Which camera would you recommend, the r8 or the fuji x-s20, I am torn between both of them. I would like to make some nice photos here and then but video is more important to me.
I prefer the R8 personally. My fav camera at the moment though is the Lumix S5 II
if you want to do interview you use battery dummy adapter
Thanks for the suggestion : )
Will they put recording on an external SSD?
And does the 1080p60 recording have sensor cropping?
You would need an Atamos Ninja or something of the sort to record externally. The sensor does not have any cropping in 60 fps.
This camera would be a massive upgrade from the 200d
Thank you. This was helpful. What size should I get if I have an r8 for the black mist filter? 55mm?
Depends on the thread size of the lens
What is best one that can record for 6 hours like the old vhs? Is there cameras that can have a storage device attached so that it can record 6 hours like old vhs? i have camera and it stops recording at 15 minutes.
The Lumix s5 Mark II can be connected to an external storage unit and record as long as your storage allows.
I was curious what did you end up buying?
thx. this was nice to know

Is Neewer BG-C18 battery grip for r8 any good ?
I'm considering of getting R8 as my B cam but found some people have overheat issue even in still mode. Do you have any overheat issue?
The camera can overheat in very hot environments but it shouldn't happen unless you are shooting a lot of 60p. If it is happening in stills mode then it might be a bad unit.
@@FulaanCreative What is the average temperature when you're using the camera? I live in a hot tropical country when the weather can be very hot in summer around 33 to 40.

Yep. R8 has LP E-17 and that in the pic is LP E-6
Very helpful, and some great images. Thank you.

concise and helpful! thank you!
You are very welcome
So if you just want to focus on photography with this camera it’s pretty good?
Yes it's very good. Although I would go for the R7. It's the same price and has IBIS which is very handy for photography.
Should you turn off the EF Lens IS mode when on the R8? Thanks for sharing
I like to leave it on and turn on the digital IS in camera but not the enhanced just the normal digital IS.
advice me that camera better for me real estate shoot
I think the Lumix S5II is the best value camera out there at the moment.
No fallbacks with the neewer batteries?
All the third part batteries and battery grips might say that there is a battery issue but if you open up the battery compartment and take the battery out and put it back in it should be ok but it depends on each brand of third party battery I guess. With the battery grip you just switch the place of each battery then the error message goes away.
Thanks for your sharing! really helps!
Glad it was helpful!
I can;t decide if i should stick with nikons z6ii or switch to canon r8...=[
Not sure cause I never used the Z6II
Mostly related to video, which I guess is a secondary thing for the camera...
True, it is a stills camera 1st and video 2nd.
wait what happened to 4 and 5?
They are in there, just didn't number them.

What kind of gimbal I should get for it if I am gonna shoot with EF Canon 16-35 ultrasonic L III 2.8, EF Sigma Art 1.4,
I don’t think I can mount EF 79-200 2.8 L IS III on it with RF mount and be able to use a gimbal?
Thanks again.
Whichever gimbal you get I would recommend getting the one built for cinema cameras like the canon c70. That way it has enough horsepower so to speak to handle whatever mirrorless and lens combo you throw on it. I have the Feyutech scorp pro and it does pretty well but any modern day gimbal that can handle a good payload should do the trick.
@@FulaanCreative thank you
Thanks! I'm getting the R8! 'Upgrading from a EOS 5D Mk II bought in 2009, hah. :D
Nice. That will be a massive upgrade for sure.
How are the adaptors handling autofocus?
Pretty much perfect
Thank you very much for this advice. I might well be canceling buying an R8 after watching.
Not sure why down sampling has to be linked with digital sharpening but in my experience it’s terrible for portraits.
Also not sure if it’s reasonable to accept companies who want to mess after you own something (no 3rd party lenses) but when you own something you should be able to do whatever floats your boat.
I went with the Lumix S5II and I love it.
Thank you, much appreciated.
Noooooooo it doesn’t really affect photo shooting, but only videos. R8 is amazing for portraits, so does s5m2.
Canon RF has the most cheapest mirrorless lens, 15-30mm, 16mm, 24mm,35mm,50mm, 24-50mm, 24-105mm, 100-400mm
What is best for Film making ? R8 or A7 3 ?
I prefer the R8
