  • Denial, lies, confession, and contrition - a selection of sports interviews from the HARDtalk and Extratime archives. Will some sports men and women always be tempted to cheat? And can it be stopped? The interviews: sprinter Justin Gatlin (2005), suspended in 2006 after testing positive for a banned substance; sprinter Asafa Powell (2007), failed a drugs test in 2013; cyclist Tyler Hamilton (2004 & 2012), stripped of his 2004 Olympic gold medal after admitting doping; Victor Conte (2007), jailed in 2005 for distributing performance enhancing drugs; and cyclist David Millar (2011), banned in 2004 for taking EPO.
