    Good morning, Calvin! I tried it and it didn’t work out too well. Plus, something took large bites out of them. Possibly a bunny rabbit.
    I’m still going to grow some in the ground this year. I have already started seeds. Seeds for lots of plants indeed.
    Maybe I’ll still try another two more in my huge containers.
    I have a volunteer watermelon that’s really healthy. I’m glad I didn’t try to pull it up. The leaves are big and beautiful. It’s growing right next to the raised bed.

      Good Morning!!! Thanks for watching.
      I am very sorry to hear about your watermelon but ecstatic that you will be planting in ground and possibly in a container too.
      Best of growing SUCCESS!!! Be well!!!

    Hi from TN.
    I have been taking left over soil bags. Rolling them down inside of grow bags 1/4-1/3 way down to make a wicking system. Or I also lay plastic down in the bags 1/4-1/3 way up then fill with soil to the top of bag.
    I use old soil, leaves, shredded newspaper, hair, old cardboard egg cartons (after using to start seeds) and kitchen compost. I use this to fill half way up. Then good soil the rest of the way.
    The roots won't grow through it either.
    Also, I start plants in cups. When they get 3-4 inches tall. I plant deep so the roots won't dry out.
    Happy Gardening in 2022

    I wish I had a way to get some of that horse 💩. Interested in seeing how that works out for you. I told myself that I was done growing watermelon and corn but here I go planning it for my raised beds this yr. I'll try trellises for some sugar baby watermelons and see how it goes.

      I had never bought of using it but it works and best of all it’s free! I too said the same thing on both crops and now I am planting both. I found some bush type guards baby seeds at the Wally World and the are starting to have true leaves (ooops I said too much 🤣😂😅 - video coming next). Thanks so much for watching!!! Blessings and much growing success!!!

    How often do u need to water them

    • @sbf_fl
      @sbf_fl  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello 96 Equanimity that is an excellent question. I take into account the fact that is in a cloth container, daily high temp and any rain fall. On average it comes to every other day. The key is just to have the soil moist at all times. Thanks so much for watching!!! Be well!!!
