it depends on the beat for me but I have a few tricks for this. mainly I use soothe 2 or pro q3 on the beat to side chain to the vocal bus. then then you can dip the frequencies of the vocal out oof the instrumental. it is a bit more advanced but worth learning! might do a video on it if I can simplifiy it more

Vocals recorded with one mic will always be mono, try not to overthink this too much. You can use stereo plugins on a vocal for sure, but mono plugins are used on vocals as vocals are 9/10 mono. Common practice is to use mono plugins to mix and stereo plugins for your fx.

Logic has amazing stock plugins tbh but waves does best them in saturation, deEsser and compression and in mastering

it was recorded in mono but I always set the recording track to mono as well. when you're recording 1 vocal you always want to record in mono.
if you don't record a vocal in mono it can cause phase issues which will make the vocal be not as high quality as it should be
If fl mixer tracks are stereo why are you using mono versions of the pluggin on the insert tracks? @@Baywood
