You are a SUPER HERO in mixing, sometimes I want to give up on mixing because everyone is saying something different. You show me the whole thing in a 23 minutes video. You deserve the subscribe and will go through your videos cause i’m sure I can be an expert in mixing by just scrolling down your videos and finding what I want to learn.
My guy I been watching you for over 7 years and to see the growth is inspiring despite your health hurtles and personal problems you have been fighting the good battle god bless you
This is the best video I found on vocal processing since I started music business. And honestly m, you have taken me to that industry standard production. Big thank you brother. I'll for ever be grateful.
FL Studio has always been confusing for me even though I gave it a test run years ago when deciding on a DAW. Especially the whole routing tracks situation etc. The wire connection thingey at the bottom of the mixer always threw me off. I feel they have an awesome piano roll and somehow the sounds do hit differently in comparison to other DAWs. I still appreciate this video because the technique can be applied to your DAW of choice so I will definitely give it a go with Presonus Studio 1 and Logic Pro, since I ping-pong between these 2 DAWs. Thanks a ton, Jordan. It's so good to have you back.
me u same😂, over 3 yrs I tried 2 deal with FL but kept giving up, I always had fl studio installed but never used it, new versions came out I updated but never used😅, always preferred working on phone using bandlab, recently bandlab introduced CAKEWALK NEXT & I easily loved & understood it, 3 days later decided to do fl, over the months of 2023 I was just watching vids of fl myb once a month but never finished, must have help coz I was able to learn which presets are good & I managed 2 create a good preset for my vocals & the wire thing I now know how to use it for better & worst, now working on my first perfect song in fl, so far so good.
Thank you bro for this tutorial , But as my opinion , can you make a video teaching us how to mix & Master a full song using Fabfilter , Ozone 11 , Valhala Plugins Only??
I saw this video right on time thanks God you did it 🙏🏻, i saw the video you made mixing with stock plugins and it was awasome but let’s go professional with this one , im building my recording cabin in my closet have my clothes all over the place 😂but is gonna be worth it thanks again 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Just in time! Been having trouble finding the right order for mixing my vocals this helps! I have some of these plugins! And I just wanna say once you added the reverb and delay to the vocals hmm 👌 def the cherry on top for me
I love this man cushe doesn't cut his videos. Other tutorials cut the video and edit it to different parts without explaining where and how to open something
Best video I've seen so far and I like the way you explain.. you make it seem easy unlike other mixing video tutorials.. so for that I'm gonna join the family. subscribed 💯👊
Bro after a whole month of stuggling everyday with presets and not being able to make music, this video solved my issues in 1 day bro 😂😂, I appreciate it, subscribed 🤞🏿

@@Baywood Facts!! But i couldnt get my music to sound qualified whatsoever after many many videos for months until i came across this...Nothing but respect i got for you bro THANK YOU ♥
Absolutely can be used in any daw! Which is why I love it . I think FL stock plugins are just too irritating to look at and lack simple design and functionality. Glad you enjoyed this and that you are getting into vocal mixing 🙌 I have hundreds of videos on the channel for you 🔥
damn one of the best🔥, subbed. this just proves that anyone can be an artist coz imagine if plugins were never invented 90% of singers now would sound like a dying goat 😂
Dude thank you so much now I know how to mix I've been trying to to learn for awhile but your video explained everything perfectly and now I can mix vocals properly!!!
That was prettttty sold I think everyone has a different kind of organization system but this tutorial is top tier I think the ONLY thing you missed was turning the lead vocal down just a smmmmidge and doing some side chain compression on the beat to let it groove even more and then side chain eq the beat to let the vocal stick out just a bit more and since you turned it down a little bit it’s not over doing it but you get better clarity without changing the tone of your vocal. But this tutorial was SOLID

thanks for this video. i love to see how other people work on mixing vocals and learn something from it. i gotta say, that i surely wouldn't comp like you do - imho i'd first use 1176 for transients (because it's the fastest and most musical comp for this usecase; don't do -7 db!) and then the la2a or rcomp in opto mode - that's how you get that consistent vocal sound even better and is the ideal combo for vocals ;) you also noticed the transients yourself and tweaked the comp afterwards in the video ;) - your "mastering" is actually stereo bus mixing and limiting combined. I'd recommend multiband/soothe-sidechaining the vocal to the instrumental to fill it properly into it, then imaging the low end (120 hz and below to mono), subtractive EQ (just a bit!), additive EQ (analog and only small amounts), (check the stereo field and fix it if needed), add soothe2 to loose some harshness, soft mutliband, decent mix bus compression (don't f... up the kick!), soft clipping, and last but not least (tp) maximizing/limiting ~6-7 LUFS is the standard atm - don't forget to turn on oversampling on your plugins, to turn off sonarworks and to turn on dithering and export at 24 bit both .wav and mp3 ;) good video tho, enjoyed the vibe and your workflow! keep going 🧡✌
I don’t want it to take out any breaths or words. Just tiny artifacts that are there so I hardly use it. I got this tip from another engineer on TH-cam

There are a lot of ways to skin a cat. Learn the rules, learn how to break them. Understand that if it sounds good, it is good!
You have given away so much in this tutorial for free. Plus, for each stages, you explain the 'whys'. Just have to say thanks.
