I love fox body Mustangs. I own a 91 GT 5 speed. However I absolutely hate the notchbacks. They are butt ugly. Hatchbacks are the only ones I would ever want.
I think the point was in the first 1/4 mile race, the smart car pulled an awesome wheelie. In the second race, the smart car got 12. 53 and the Mustang got 13.32 or low 13's. If the Smart car hadn't pulled such a wheelie in the first race, and slowed down to bring the front end back down, it would have won too.

In a smart car, you will feel every 50 pounds!

to all those who say ford suck I had a 2000 ford focus bought brand new that had 130,000 miles with no engine repairs just routine maintenance, a fuel pump, alternator, battery, shift cable, and a clutch (I know drove a stick focus who does that). it was in a accident and was totaled (I was completely unharmed). I bought a 1994 ford ranger with 168,000 miles on it and no major engine or transmission work required (not sure what repairs where done as I bought it used but I know nothing major). to me that is a good quality car but if any one wants to disagree please feel free and let me know where ford sucked in this situation :)

to all those who say ford suck I had a 2000 ford focus bought brand new that had 130,000 miles with no engine repairs just routine maintenance, a fuel pump, alternator, battery, shift cable, and a clutch (I know drove a stick focus who does that). it was in a accident and was totaled (I was completely unharmed). I bought a 1994 ford ranger with 168,000 miles on it and no major engine or transmission work required (not sure what repairs where done as I bought it used but I know nothing major). to me that is a good quality car but if any one wants to disagree please feel free and let me know where ford sucked in this situation :)

Any small light car would beat a heavier car off the line, regardless if it was a Ford, Chevy or Dodge. You'd get the same results if it was a Corvette, Camaro or a Challenger, hell the smart car would probably beat the Challenger full distance because their weight.
