    interesting how Giants decided how to vary the way trees work between containers and production use. Thanks for spending the time to check it out

    I'm thinking they want us to use the new tree types but IRL the different trees would be worth different prices.

    if u dont like super streangt to auto load containers and not want to deal with a loader why not position ur container under the cable of a yerdar and winch them into the container. i like to run 6 meter containers on a it runner flatbed for eazyer to position or the fiat .iveco truck with flatbad

    What about the mix of trees or how much lodgepole/ponderosa you have to add to mix container to get full price? I’ve sold quite a few mixed with spruce, lodgepole, normal pine and always get same same price for a full container as I had with lodgepole/ponderosa mix. The only difference I noticed is that pine gives a lot less volume per log.

    Ideas 💡 where is the best place to sell including mods, and is there any storage options for 🌳 trees? No one has really touched on deadwood it has valume. Would chipping, factory drop off selling hole or cut? It says you can make extra money off of them on contracts is it worth the time or just cut n go, tree devourer them for chips or chipper cut and sell at the portable saw mill by jos? Just so many options. Thanks driver for all the time you put in to these videos.

    I'm pretty sure the container length must be like at least +- .5M. I put some 6.5M logs into a 6M container with no issues.

      I found if you have say a 6m contrainer as long as your log is 6. something its ok. 6.9m is ok but 5.9m is not even though its closer to 6m than 6.9m

    Nice test. I'm curious if the issue with price is around a different conversion of weight to litres for each species, which is what you see when selling logs directly. But......then the spruce should have sold for the same price if all wood is the same once it is transformed to bulk.

  • @machintrucGaming

    But I got 1 little thing tp mention - I guess your price per liter should be the price for 1000 liters, right?

    I personally use 9m containers, because when I have two 6m on my trailer, they come loose and fly off once I start driving fast. It's so f**ing annoying, I've almost rage quit because of it. Most of my logs go into my productions anyways, on my current save I haven't sold a single container.

    What about Giant sequoia?

    • @michellemorrison5841
      @michellemorrison5841 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not worth their weight even though we're forced to remove them from certain buyable lands if you ever hope to farm them or landscape and build on those plots, and they are a decent amount of work to cut and delimb, much like elm but not nearly as bad, 40t tree maybe get 5k max, super unrealistic and honestly a complete slap in the face from Giants, really hope they change it to be more realistic, every tree should be based on a simple system of weight and length, no need for all the extra proprietary scripting which just ruins certain game elements and confuses the hell out of us players, just let us play and to hell with stupid penalties for cutting down certain trees, just frickin remove them if that's how giants wants to be about it, everything else is price per liter makes no damn sense to me to be that nit picky or micro managing of a supposedly simulator game, think I'll make a TH-cam video where all I do is tree b gone the sequioas until none are left or tree devour them to get at least something for my time...

      Well in the real world different wood has different value. pines can have more value because of less knots in them so better, higher grade lumber. Does it really matter? Yes, it’s great knowing how to maximize wood harvesting and some can say yes will others don’t care. Just cut down tree and sell it and continue to play game. It’s the same as do you want to have product stored at a production plant or just place on sell and never have to worry about it. Everyone plays differently and for different reasons so just play and have fun

    • @klemendebevec8777

    • @Qualjyn
      @Qualjyn 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@klemendebevec8777currently, containers seem to make logs much more valuable than they would be in loose form. Honestly it's to such an absurd degree I'm wondering if it's even intentional or if Giants screwed up the economy.
      The fact that a container of spruce seems to pay so much less than a container of lodgepole makes me wonder if the new DLC tree types might have a broken container value calculation, and if possibly the real value should be somewhat in line with spruce.
