  • Original video: • Fix the XP-Pen? It wor...
I like my XP-Pen Products - even if they're not perfect.
XP-Pen was very helpful in replacing faulty stylus' (under warranty anyway).
Soon I had extra to experiment with and now I have five working stylus'.
    www.xp-pen.com/
Hey ! Clip Studio Paint !
    clipstudio.net/en
The issue I was having was that the pen would just trigger randomly.
I tried setting the barrel buttons to no action, but to make a long story short, that didn't help at all.
As you can see, the pen is triggering - I'm not touching the buttons and I'm not touching the screen.
So as you can imagine, that got pretty annoying and I found ONE video by Expresii Paint that helped me solve this problem.
    Expresii Paint Video
    • XP-Pen stylus issues a...
I was pretty apprehensive about breaking down my stylus - but, long story short, I went ahead and did it. And it worked.
So I decided to make a video to confirm that breaking down the stylus is not so scary, and could very well solve problems your having - if your having any.
I turn this little tuner screw (potentiometer) just a little bit and
    it still doesn't work right.
So I try turning it some more. It may look like I'm really winding it, but trust me I'm jut making as small an adjustment as I can.
I have no idea what would happen if you just twist this thing around and round.
I'm not going to try it.
So now it's fixed. And I haven't had a problem with it since.
Then the button just snaps into place, like so.
There's a faint line on the button indicating the front end. Make sure you have that right before you snap it down.
The last thing is the nib housing thing-a-mabob and...
And that's it. I managed to fix two stylus' this way - so it worked for me.
    good luck!

Mine just arrived am I'm having the hovering pen issue and many others. And then you showed the jitter when zoomed out and that broke my heart. I watched around 20 reviews of the Artist 24 Pro before buying it and no one shows that. I won't trust any reviewer from now on - all a bunch of lies trying to sell you the product. Thank you, only honest video so far! (But I'm not opening my pen, I'll probably return the purchase, it's all messed up all over the place).

I think smoothing functions play a major role in most digital workflows.
Could be the xp-pen driver doesn't get along with your computer.
I've had my share of issues with display tablets, but for the most part, I enjoy using them.

@@VirtualSG I get what you mean. Some issues are acceptable. But, before buying the Pro 24, I had a XP Pen Artist 12S from 2018 and it was SO good, never had any issues.
Then the Pro 24 so far has been frustrating on every aspect.
Now I miss my small 12S. Crazy how a newer product is worse than an old line.

I solved by using the other pen. And XP-Pen told me they mailed an additional replacement pen, since the other one is defective.

    • @AlfredReinoldBaudisch
      @AlfredReinoldBaudisch 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Late update: when I wrote the original comment, I ended up contacting XP-Pen and they sent me a replacement pen in a gift box. Plus the additional pen that came with the monitor also worked out of the box.

@@AlfredReinoldBaudisch Glad you have a working stylus or two!
I only got the nerve to mess with mine because I contacted support and... I can't remember exactly how it went down, but I ended up with 5 styluses - only 2 of which worked - so I ripped into the non-working ones and now I've got 5 good pens!
Now for the bad news... I gave my brother my old 22E (with the rechargeable pens) and it stopped working properly on the last Windows update because XP isn't supporting that driver anymore.
I had the same experience with an old Wacom.
My point is eventually this pen and any tablets they come with will follow suit and we'll have to purchase new products.
Hopefully not for a little while tho.
      PEACE!

Even though you are getting a lot of thanks from others, I hope you aren't tired of hearing it: Thank You for this video. Was having the very same problem, tried driver updates, unchecking Windows Ink... But clearly something was simply amiss with the little screw thing in the pen, and I'm REALLY glad I didn't have to pull the whole insides out of the pen casing. Thanks, and if anyone is having this problem, yes, this solution does work.

the same problem occurred when i put the pen back in the pen holder, but after a couple of movements on the tablet, everything was ok.
Maybe the weight of the pen affects the sensitivity of the magnet / coil, or something.

That's a good question. Considering by default one of the buttons toggles an eraser function, I'm going to guess no, the buttons wont work properly without the correct driver.

@@elsopotas Like I said, I don't really understand when you say the plastic tip is completely lose. It sounds to me like it's physically broken. That's a real problem.
If you try what I say in this video, be very gentle with everything and you shouldn't make anything worse - but I have no idea if it will fix the problem.
The famous problem is that the pen just "switches to eraser mode" - but if you changed your button settings (like I did) it will "switch to" whatever you set it to (in my case, right click) - you see this at the begining of the video.
If your pen is physically busted, I don't know what to say. Have you tried pushing the tip in harder? Maybe your just too gentle? I don't know...
