    I agree 100%. When testing a speaker or any audio equipment, always play your favorite music and see if you still enjoy it, or enjoy it even more. I never use some esoteric recording that I'd normally never listen to, just to hear the highs or lows. I listen to enjoy it. If it makes it more enjoyable, then by all means. If not, then what's the point? Nice job.

    Nice review! I am evaluating them: I have a 4 x 8m room and they will be placed in the short size, symmetrically, 50cm about from backwall and side walls: do you think it can keep the room size? The amp is powerful (>15A peak capable, >200W over 4 ohm...) and can manage a 10W in A-class...

    • @OldtradesReviews
      @OldtradesReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, Thanks for watching. How many watts per channel is the amp rated at for 8ohms? It's usually much less than 4 ohms

    • @OldtradesReviews

      Thanks for watching. The Monitor Bronze is on sale right now for $600. fxo.co/Cilg vs $1100 for the Kef at about half price the Bronze takes it. With that said the Bronze is more detailed and brighter sounding. So neutral or warm amp is better and possibly a room with carpeting. Of course that depends on hearing type

  • @DesmondKarani
    @DesmondKarani ปีที่แล้ว

    Excellent review! I guess what what you're describing as "top heavy" sound is the point source perception that concentric drivers have. Some people like that and others don't because of how it attracts attention to the speaker. That's why it's really important for people to demo Kef (or some Elacs) before buying them to determine if they like that type of "point source" sound

      I see the Denon has 90 watts x2. I think Tonally it will match well with the Paradigms, and a better choice than with the KEF passive radiators. If you feel it lacks then a more powerful recover or amp is needed.
