    How do you weigh the clothes and charge the correct amount on pickup?

    I’m very interested in finding out more about your pos system. Is there an app that would go along with the pod system?

      We provide guidance to our software clients. We offer conference calls, office hours, and in person training at our family's laundromat, which grosses over $140k per month in wash and fold. Also, you may be interested in joining us at our in person conference coming up on June '24. Curbsidelaundries.com/2024

    Hey, thanks for all information. Taking notes and plan to dig deeper in every category went over. For the pay now or later segment, when do you ask for payment when you do pick up and delivery? I'm thinking when you get order backed and weighted you send a notification of weight and cost... do you not process the order till the ticket is paid?

      With pickup and delivery, the customer puts in their credit card BEFORE the pickup is scheduled. The customer knows the price per pound OR the price of the bag, they choose the pickup day & time and the delivery day too. We charge them after the order is completed. If the card does not go through, they get an e-mail or text to update their card on file. This helps ensure that you get paid.
      Before our software, we had clients who previously would ask for payment when they picked up the order and the customer didn't always have money, so they promised to pay when they delivered and then it was a logistical nightmare of making sure the person had money and paid or do you give back the laundry and hope they pay? Lots of problems avoided by having the card on file.
      The pay now or later part in this video also refers to in store wash and fold and our software handles that too, it allows for a card on file, and also makes sure the order is paid for before returning the clothes, which is a common mistake if doing things by hand.

    I started a home based PUD about 4 months ago, and only had a handful of customers. How long would you continue putting tons of effort into a failing business before you close up shop? I'm not a quitter, but at some point just continuing for the sake of not quitting is the wrong move.

      The #1 question is how are you getting customers? Are you doing pay for click advertising? Facebook ads? Are you depending on organic search to get customers? How is your domain authority for the main key words in your area? Even if you do it right, then it takes about 3 months to marinate and get properly indexed with Google. The challenging part is if you're not doing it right, then it takes even more time to find out. It's expensive to experiment, because it takes time to see the results. At Curbside, we offer our clients the same tools we use at our laundromat so it helps eliminate the guesswork as to if they're doing it right or not.
      Also, the ordering process is VERY important. Do customers text or e-mail you? Or do they use an online portal? Also, you're not using DoorDash are you? In my opinion, that can cause sticker shock to customers when they see the price.

    What system do they use to track the machines & productivity ?

    • @CurbsideLaundries
      @CurbsideLaundries  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      CurbsideLaundries.com wash and fold software tracks employee productivity, pounds washed, dried, and folded. Also it tracks which machines were used and how much was spent. You can quickly see what percentage of the spend compared to the size of the order so if the # gets above X% you know there is a problem

      @CurbsideLaundries many thanks. I'm not in the USA & would love to get into this business, but I fear those softwares being only USA specific

    Hi, do you pick up and/or drop off the clothes? Or does the client drop off and/or pick up at the laundromat

    • @CurbsideLaundries
      @CurbsideLaundries  ปีที่แล้ว

      Both. 25% of our wash and fold business is in store, and 75% is pickup and delivery.
