I'm looking forward to the next series "Turning profit into ebay junk" 😉
😂😂😂😂😂😂 What goes up, must come down!
It’s always awesome watching electronics being repaired to save them from becoming e-waste, too many people this day and age would simply throw items away and replace them when they have seemingly stopped working :) props to you my friend :)
Great series as always but it would be nice to see more obscure consoles from time to time just for the sake of content, maybe a limited edition PS2/GC/XBOX or GB/GBC
I actually love watching you working with switch. Glad you like it too!
hey! im a phone technician here in canada and will soon start to train in microsoldering, your videos are absolutely great! even though you don't teach how to solder, i can honestly learn a little bit just by looking at how you do. you give little tricks here and there and it just feels nice to not feel like you are here to show us how its done but more how YOU do it. i don't know, really pleasing atmosphere while watching your videos, thanks!
The "wool" was an insulating bag that's usually used to keep stuff cool, get a lot of stuff i order from the online butcher in them. Loving the series cropping up on my youtube feed and just subscribed as the process is always interesting!
Came here to say this, it smells funky but yeah, it's environmentally friendly sheep wool based insulation. Works well as packaging too I would imagine.
you’ve taught me to solder, joey. much appreciated! I enjoy all of your videos mate
I would like to add, the switch repairs are by far my favorite to watch. keep it up joey!
Well done Strud! :)
I’m glad your back to welcoming faces, my face didn’t feel welcome for a while.😂
You should try fixing laptops and pc video cards, would be very interesting to see
That box is an ebay classic. I once got a GPU wrapped in a torn off piece of cardboard from a box of tea bags...
I love this series my friend. Every video is a lesson and an inspiration. Keep up the good work mate👍
Thanks bud! :)
I just love your videos man, I live in Brazil and it's hard to find channels like yours. We can learn a lot and enjoy the ride tks a bunch!!
Thanks! Appreciate it 😊
love these type of videos
Great video Joey, my humble opinion is I do enjoy the nintendo switches, I may not speak on behalf of other people however what I would say is that pretty much every video in this series is a nintendo switch.
I would love to see some different tech items, such as TVs or old ps2 Gameboy, etc, just something we haven't seen yet.
But like I said. I love the videos, and you're doing a great job!!
Way to go! I knew you could do it. I enjoy the simple fixes sometimes. When I see you wading through a really hard repair, it makes me feel bad for you
Thanks for the video. What temperature was your iron on the tinning of the replacement port?
Good to see POL fixes there and your live streams too even though i normally watch them on play back , keep up the good work mate 👍
Yes, I know this is just for TH-cam content but you know there are people out there who are actively thinking of doing that in their spare time, which is why your calculations are a bit questionable because they only list gross expenses. If you want to get to the net expenses, you'll have to include the cost for electricity and consumable material. Of course it can't be properly calculated for each single video but you could for example include the initial cost of flux and solder.
This way, younger audience members would learn a little bit about amortization! :)
- eBay fees
- shipping
- VAT/NI/corporation tax
Lol to be honest, sometimes I check to make sure I’m subscribed, good content 😊
Nice one 💪 Very near being in green!!! 🤪
Way to go Joey, keep up the great content. Fingers crossed you hit Profit next Vid 🙂
Awesome. I bought an Xbox one X for 60 USD that came with a controller because the disc drive didnt work. Took it apart and there was a credit card in the drive. Had to move some things around and clean the laser and it started working. Sold it for 160 USD the same day!
They don't have to be the most interesting of fixes if they get the items working again and make Sally happy. Thanks Joey as always :)
Am a technician from a far away land(Malawi)...it's always informative to learn something new ....keep it up..
I personally love the Nintendo Switch repairs.
LMAO!!! Harry Potter 🤣 i said harry potter owls on his house now he finds a Harry Poter DVD😂
Good to see a working xbox again on this channel😂
Joey you have to say SOLID 😂
Totally agree Joey, avoid those consoles that have been previously opened, you never know how useless was the person who manipulated it haha
Should definitely do more of the Xbox One generation consoles because they’re almost always relatively straight forward fixes.
Great vid Joey. That Switch Lite was in beauty condition.
Making Sally happy!
Being more selective pays off. Great video. Thanks!
Awesome! I like all the content. Keep doing switches too Please. 😀
Hey joey! Recently found you and have been binging your series! Any tips or recommendations for getting into the component level repair career? Currently in IT field and wanting to split off and go down the more repair route
Stick with the switches Joey!
5:47 🎶🎶i can see clearly what the fault is now 🎶🎶
can you see all obstacales in your way?
I love seeing switch fixes tbh.
You can do it Joey! I am still rooting for you to succeed.
You could get 5 pounds for that Harry Potter disc if you signed it 😂
I'd buy from you in a jiffy!
Nice repair sir.
Hey Joey, do you use normal Q-Tips or Special ones that leave no little hairs?
Question for anyone that can assist - I have a series x that works fine, however I have a wobbly power port - do you suggest leaving it or getting it sorted? Thanks in advance!
Where can i get that sata cable tester Joey :)
Ive been really curious. Do you have switch boards memorized?
In terms of screw layout etc, yes :) Not chip by chip.
Uh yes! So close!
nice one
Hey, I for one like to see Nintendo Switches. I’d also love to see another DS or DS Lite or 3DS or any of the Gameboys.
£80 profit for a few hours work... awesome stuff.
Nice and easy
i hate myself i always buy somthing and break it just bought logi z5500 speakers with no contoller so it came with some adaptor it was working great but i could hear some frequencies so i tried making one myself and fried everything
Work on as many switches as you like Joe.
love your videos but hate the switch repairs, so i skipped the second half :P
I would love to see the actual numbers. I mean you say you'd be able to sell these two for 190 pounds... what was the actual selling number?
Thanks for another great video.
You're welcome, thanks for watching! :)
Chamber of secrets is around 15€
Subscribed ;)
Love watching but with out TH-cam how could this be a job lol
👍
Who's Sally 😁
I too have always wondered
She made the spreadsheet. Fan of the show
@@stevenbenson9976 cheers bud lol
Good question
That's my mom
Has anyone told you you look like Gérard butler
Joey add the Harry Potter it might take you over or it might put you -£10
Just finished setting up my 2nd Xbox One "phat", this one working and I paid 99p more than I did for the £4 one... Its like they are breeding aieeeee
Jammy git. It's nice when you get a quick win though.
Is Sally's doo dah now inclusive of livestream doings?
Joey. I really enjoy this series and wish you the greatest success going forward. I do have one request. I would love to see a work station tour. How is your work area setup and the equipment you use? Also I am guessing you have a vent system for soldering and such? What items and equipment would be great start for someone looking to enter this as a hobby? If you have already done one of these could you or someone in chat point the way for me as i did not find one. Once again I wish you the greatest of luck and success.
Sally spreadsheet will thank you Joey for being a little picky about what you fix....like you said.....if it hasn't been tampered with then our chances of fixing it go up...thanks again for the great content...keep up the good work.
DUBS
hey, why do you have hair
