The fighting game community is honestly way less pompus than other game communities. I remember when I just started out I made friends with some high ranking players, and despite me being a total scrub they would sometimes ask for my opinions and genuinely ask me what do I think about x character so they could theory craft. Legit border line pro players asking a literal bronze for his opinion, that shit doesn't happen in other communities.
