    Mike and Elvis have a crazy idea - why not bring the classic Mitsubishi Shogun 4x4 off-roading since that's what it was originally designed to do anyway! Even if it means having to make a brand-new bumper and restore the car to the finest condition...

    Nice Job. All we the owners who fit 32/10/15 or more, had to do the same. In my particular case, I used two extra lift kit nylon suports on top of the frame, so (in case I change to smaller tires again to avoid mud terrains destruction on the asphalt) I can adjust the bumper position correctly. Now I’m on 33/12.5/15 and it looks and performs really well on and also off road. ARB lockers, performance clutch, shorter ring and pinion set, etc… A beast. It’s not a rock crawler, but I call it the “Black Widow” cos it’s black and it crawls so well. Now I’m planing to cut some sheet metal and ad a diff drop, but I can’t find gear and pinion set even shorter for bigger wheels. Who knows… perhaps i’m lucky 😅

    One of, if not the most capable off roader. The super select system they introduced with the 2nd gen is amazing. Surely miss my old 2nd gen, but love my 3rd gen just as much ❤

    I service a couple of these for a local farmer. They seem to be some sort of Ralliart special edition. Tons of gauges, adjustable Bilstein suspension, leather seats, Nardi steering wheel. One has rather nice 3 piece factory wheels too. But being farmers literally everything is destroyed or badly damaged. Awful shame

    I think the shape of the bumper looks fantastic. My only gripe is the slight over hang of the number plate. It would bug me. Aluminium would have been a lighter and better choice for longevity. IMO.

    • @davidlambert6171
      @davidlambert6171 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Difficult to weld aluminum. Since they were going yo resell it, they just went with the easier fabrication choice.

    • @akokosk8
      @akokosk8 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Steel flex more and it returns to it’s original position, and if you pass that point you can “bush repair” it with a hammer or a rock. Aluminium, if you go further certain point breaks. Aluminium bashplates, some times break throught by sharp rocks. Also steel it’s easier to weld

    • @KevinJones-bt7ib
      @KevinJones-bt7ib ปีที่แล้ว +2
