My favourite ever episode of WD. As the owner of a 1963 series 2a that I'm planning to restore as my retirement project. This has really inspired me. Thanks Mike and Elvis.
I consider myself an expert and huge fan of WD. Been watching from season 1. Seen all Edd's stuff multiple times. My favorite auto show by far. Saw Elvis for the 1st time on WD Trading Up. I was an instant fan an am thrilled he's the new mechanic for season 17. So glad Mike is still into the show. We all owe him a debt for keeping WD going. Ant, you will be missed. Welcome on board Elvis!
This is the best video on series1 authentication. Please bring the full video on this car. Every single part pleas 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Lots of love from india Himalayas.
I don't get why people care about originality with Landy's. They're meant to be cobbled together from various parts. It's what gives each car its unique characteristics.
£3k will buy you a nice re-chassis series one with the much faster 2.25 engine, full synchro gearbox and that S2 axel this one had. A wonderful cobbled up classic to have fun with :o) For £20k it needs to have the chassis number stamped on the original chassis and matching gearbox/engine. But, the most valuable bit is the history of mods in its life ^-^ all those brackets, holes and stickers :D
Britpart for LR? I try to avoid them if poss. I have owned series 1, 2, 2a and 3. Not sure if the makeover is to create a museum piece or a useable classic? Have seen shows where period upgrades are kept as part of the history but not in this episode? Most serious LR owners upgrade the rear diffs, wheels, suspension and gearbox because they were useless on Series 1 and early 2 for anything other than dirt tracks at 15mph. Neighbour has one in as new condition, it stays in a locked garage
OCTOBER 2021 originality...... Like the Allen head screws used for attaching the brackets to the windscreen?, for the semaphore indicators. Shouldn't them said screws be the crosshead type Elvis.
Nice to see Steve Grant on the tv instead of just on the pages of LRO International. As for Elvis, he's just the right guy for the job. Ed will always be my favourite. Ant was just too animated for my liking and didn't seem a natural fit for replacing Ed. But Elvis does. Now I look forward to WD's again rather than just watching it because there's nothing else on.
Doesn't make any sense. It's clearly the basic vehicle to work with. Easy to fix in the field if its necessary. The earliest series 1, 2, 2a, 3 doesn't have the reputation of being unreliable.
Many years ago a Friend of mine bought a Landrover in bits and in boxes. When examined it revealed a serial number of FOURTEEN ! (Yes, 14.) When he contacted Landrover for parts they said it should no longer exist as it was an early prototype, and offered him a Brand New Landrover in exchange ! He very wisely declined. Me ? I think they are just motorised bricks. .
I must say I'm really enjoying the new session with Elvis. He has a calm manner about him. Ant was a bit too excitable for me bless him 😁
Agree 100%.
F1 mechanic with McLaren
Yeah ant was very theatrical. Wasn’t my cup of tea

"Hi I'm Elvis" (hilarious) "Mike sent you?" (As if the camera crew wasn't a tell tell sign) More Elvis please!
Love the new format! Getting out and about - much more interesting and entertaining than the old WD format stuck in the garage.
really enjoying this season of WD. Some great restorations

True, you go to any of the Land Rover shows anywhere in the world and there ain't two the same

Beautiful, keep up the great work! I just photographed a fully restored '72 Defender 90 and fell in love with it.
What do you reckon would keep the many leaks on my series iia at bay?
If I hear one more "in a Formula 1 car". We get it bro, you used to work in F1.
He makes it look soo easy!. 🤣 Nice one!.

If I need landie knowledge, I trust on mad ford engineering any day of the week :)
Series I doesn’t have a full float rear does it?

'Ed will always be my favourite.' +1
Hang on a minute,,have you noticed that Mike brewer turns all his mechanic's gray? (TM) lol
And yet Brewer's hair is still painted dark brown
Hello WD which season is this?
This is series 17 episode 5
@@stuartpike7558 thanks Stuart, I'm wondering how long before we get to watch them in Australia.

I see in your videos that there is no Rover yet that need restauration.
Anyone know what tires he’s running?
Look like Deestone extra traction
So you need to strip it down to find out what it is 2 minutes walking round can tell you that
Blindfolded
- Å fan! 👍
It's a series one
Bloody long time for this series haven’t see ants last episodes yet in oz lol
Same look at my comment.
I love wheeler dealers but it's hard to adjust to new mechanic on the show..loved edd ant was very good but I haven't seen Elvis Presley yet x
The rear axle "found" by Britpart which had been left in the open for years would work better than their "Shitpart" rubbish.
Elvis clearly knows his stuff. But for gods sake who cares if the nasty rear axle is series 1? That’s a criticism of collectors, who are not drivers.
Hmmm. Britpart. You are braver than me.
The Land Rover is a much better truck then any Jeep
Where's Paul . 😉
Shouldn’t Elvis be wearing gloves 🧤 😎👍
Shouldn't he also be wearing workshop protective boots? .... and why is he working wearing a watch?
It is a pity there is no translator
Tape measure wouldn't do much good since it's a land rover.. 😆
What a load of rubbish. No need to take the car apart, just look at the chassis number.
Easy way to authenticate a Land Rover, if it starts it’s a fake

Most series are not original at all.
Making a jeopardy filled ten minutes about fuck all. That’s worth 12 to 15 k. Ish. Who cares.
@@highdownmartin Indeed who cares. Old Landies are cool but rolling rustbuckets.
This Land Rover is back up for sale again £39000
Ironic as the new Land Rovers come very easy too! Not in a good way😂

Where is the rest of the videos? is that it, one short and then the next vehicle? unsubscribed
Please bring Ed back. This guy is clearly less capable engineer and not really entertaining.
Boring and who cares
