The pilot was only confirmed non-canon a very short time ago so it was still very close to the series to have lasted that long as it's just certain details that are contradictive or have changed, so going forward always view info from it as possibly being changed. The Imp's horns also define their gender, small white stripes for female and thick white stripes for male. A reason to note this is trans characters sometimes change their hair color but not their horns, it's just a really cool detail for the show to have, it's also why Millie lost her white spot as not to suggest she was trans. Can't wait for next the episode as it's a fan favorite, episode 1 and episode 2 are a good range for what you'll expect from the series, ep2 starts the fantastic emotional moments for the series that "look my way" showed off.

Another fact: the white marks you see on the imps, those are like scars, if they get stabbed, cut, burn, or shot somewhere. The damaged skin will grow back as a white mark to indicate a scar like thing.
Was sooooo waiting for this vid to drop. "Helluva Boss: Murder Family", every time I watch it, always gives me serious "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" vibes. I swear that is so what half the inspiration was for this episode.
There are so many little details on the background of the show, it' amazing! :D Like the billboard, and in the house of the family, if you look on the background when they are in the kitchen, there's mirror with bone frames, a spine lamp and a kid's face mounted on the wall. But because of how our focus works, lot of people miss them and don't catch on to them being serial killers and cannibals until the scene with Moxxie and the kids xD Also, the imps' gender can be distinguished mainly by their horn color. Females have black horns with thin white stripes and male imps have thick black and white stripes. Most female imps have black hair and males have white, but sometimes they can have spots, and trans imps often dye their hair, but their horns remain the same.
I’m so happy for you, that you are starting this now. Because you get to watch it in order. And no other reactors did/could do that because 1x7 came out 2 years ago and 1x8 came out 5 months ago and that’s after 2x4 that came out 6 months ago. in the later episodes they do dial down the how over the top the show is a tad bit, and they start actually having some character development. so you got that to look forward to.

i found out recently that the subtitles for the Helluva Boss series don't say the same thing as what's being said, like a lot of it is the subtitle team's reactions instead lolol Honestly that's just more reasons to watch the whole series again!!!
I mentioned before how some things we fans don't realize until after several watches, and that bears true here. I've noticed some time ago that she seemed to worship Satan here but on binging on Hazbin Hotel theories and rewatching this I realized it's not Satan (who's a different person from Lucifer) but more likely Roo, shorted for "Root of Evil", that Martha worships. Martha seems dismissive of the imps as Satan's creatures* (see note below) and to quote: "May the Root of Evil remain honored as we continue thy work!" * in this cartoon, the "9 circles of Hell" and "7 rings of Hell" are separate things. The 7 Rings are layers that are like linked dimensions, each one is ruled by one of 7 Sins. And ecah ring is theorized to have it's own native Hellborn species (or at least one dominant speicies), despite they now can go to other Rings and intermingle. (Hellborn, not the Sinners) Satan rules over the Wrath Ring and it's mainly imps seen in Wrath. Pride Ring is the first ring and is where Sinner demons are trapped, they can't go anywhere else. But Pride Ring is separated into 9 rings, with Pentagram City being in the center, with other rings radiating out from there. Pentagram City is the location of Hazbin Hotel. Helluva Boss is in Imp City (est. 1981) is in the second circle.
The imp design doesn't specify sex by hair color, but by horns. The females have the shorter black horns while the males have the larger curved horns. The show does a lot of easter eggs though so if you pay close attention through the series you will occasionally find transgender imps with contradicting horns. The further you go in this show the more intricate it all gets, and its a wild ride. Buckle up. Its only up from here.

Whenever I’m in the bathroom at work and a customer or co-worker comes in on the phone I make sure to make extra noise and flush 100 times so they hurry up and leave. I hate how loudly and obnoxiously they come in when I’m trying to go. The bathroom should be a quiet place for people to relax their butt and do their thing and leave, not to be in a conference call and keep the speaker on to boost 🙄😒

If you notice, they put the advert on the wrong side of the billboard, the arrow points away from their place of business. Just more 'well-spent' advertisement money.
The horns are the sex defining traits, not the hair. (That I noticed? Maybe now that I'm thinking about it) But anyway male imps have thick striped horns while females have black ones with smaller white lines. You'll see a few background imps that are implied to be trans because they present differently than their horns show, like Millie's sister Sally Mae.
Biologically male imps have black and white banded horns. The females have smaller black horns with a little white line through them. Fun thing to keep an eye out for, there are a decent amount of trans imps throughout the show. Oh and the white marks? Those are scars, important for later episodes.
What you should do later is go back and review the background of the interior of the house. There are so many things that point out early on that the family is cannibalistic and psychotic

i found out recently that the subtitles for the Helluva Boss series don't say the same thing as what's being said, like a lot of it is the subtitle team's reactions instead lolol Honestly that's just more reasons to watch the whole series again!!!

I mentioned before how some things we fans don't realize until after several watches, and that bears true here.
I've noticed some time ago that she seemed to worship Satan here but on binging on Hazbin Hotel theories and rewatching this I realized it's not Satan (who's a different person from Lucifer) but more likely Roo, shorted for "Root of Evil", that Martha worships. Martha seems dismissive of the imps as Satan's creatures* (see note below) and to quote: "May the Root of Evil remain honored as we continue thy work!"
* in this cartoon, the "9 circles of Hell" and "7 rings of Hell" are separate things. The 7 Rings are layers that are like linked dimensions, each one is ruled by one of 7 Sins. And ecah ring is theorized to have it's own native Hellborn species (or at least one dominant speicies), despite they now can go to other Rings and intermingle. (Hellborn, not the Sinners)
Satan rules over the Wrath Ring and it's mainly imps seen in Wrath.
Pride Ring is the first ring and is where Sinner demons are trapped, they can't go anywhere else. But Pride Ring is separated into 9 rings, with Pentagram City being in the center, with other rings radiating out from there.
Pentagram City is the location of Hazbin Hotel. Helluva Boss is in Imp City (est. 1981) is in the second circle.
Fun fact: the teacher/sinner demon in this episode is the woman who played Matilda in Matilda

The imp design doesn't specify sex by hair color, but by horns. The females have the shorter black horns while the males have the larger curved horns. The show does a lot of easter eggs though so if you pay close attention through the series you will occasionally find transgender imps with contradicting horns. The further you go in this show the more intricate it all gets, and its a wild ride. Buckle up. Its only up from here.

They change the hair to match their horns , so now both horns and hair identify their gender but mainly horns for imps dye their hair
to really know gender look at the horns, females have small white stripes in the horn, males have large white chunks in the horn. at 7:39 it shows blitz and moxxie next to millie, there are trans imps in this show so it is a very easy way to tell from a glance.

Whenever I’m in the bathroom at work and a customer or co-worker comes in on the phone I make sure to make extra noise and flush 100 times so they hurry up and leave. I hate how loudly and obnoxiously they come in when I’m trying to go. The bathroom should be a quiet place for people to relax their butt and do their thing and leave, not to be in a conference call and keep the speaker on to boost 🙄😒

The horns are the sex defining traits, not the hair. (That I noticed? Maybe now that I'm thinking about it) But anyway male imps have thick striped horns while females have black ones with smaller white lines. You'll see a few background imps that are implied to be trans because they present differently than their horns show, like Millie's sister Sally Mae.

The sexual dimorphism of imps is their horns. Male: white with thick black strips. Female: black with thin white strips.
Horns and hair, not just horns. Also you got it wrong, male imp horns are black with thick white stripes, not the other way around
Biologically male imps have black and white banded horns. The females have smaller black horns with a little white line through them. Fun thing to keep an eye out for, there are a decent amount of trans imps throughout the show. Oh and the white marks? Those are scars, important for later episodes.
