- Due to a snowstorm, Fran and the family get stranded at Fran's parent's house!
From Season 1 Episode 16, 'Schlepped Away'. The family plans a vacation on the Caribbean Islands, but, due to a heavy snowstorm, the airports and bridges are closed. The entire Sheffield household spends the weekend at Fran's parents when they are stranded.

My favourite episode! Fran, Please upload full episode. This episode really have calm and cozy feeling. I always rewatching this episode in DVD and prime video (until they removed from catalogue 😩)

Lmao you do understand that you don’t have to be a “rich” person to have two bathrooms in your home right? My family, is a middle class, average working family, we have two bathrooms in our house, and we don’t live anywhere near a rich neighborhood at all. In fact, a majority of the homes in my area, are owned by average, middle class families as well, and most of those homes have two bathrooms in them already. Now, if you’re jealous or envious of the fact that he’s a rich kid….just say that, but just to let you know, rich kids when they’re born….don’t have a choice as to what type of family, or lifestyle they’re born and raised in….their lifestyle is not their fault….however considering that this is just a show…..you’re really just hating on a character.

It’s pretty clear that Gracie has already assimilated into the Fine family at this point, especially since she’s the only one from the Sheffield house that likes the boiled tongue.

Yes! And it was so sweet she literally had no issues taking everyone in and tried so hard to be a good hostess. It’s one of my favorite episodes 💛
And Fran and Maxwell were already so close that they were literally in sync with each other! They just had a friendship connection almost immediately like they truly knew each other in only a matter of months!

Niles's little quips are one of the best parts of the show.
I know people find Sylvia’s yelling annoying but I personally find it hilarious.
The nanny is one of the funniest shows ever. It gets better with age.

1. Seinfeld - A show about a group of social misfits and the eccentric social phenomenon around them.
2. Married with Children - A show about Chicago's working class whose glory days are behind him at high school... and he regularly schemes with his best friend to make lucrative small time scams.
3. Becker - A show about a misanthropic professional in an time of economic distress and urban decay,
4. The Nanny - A show about a low culture outgoing woman meets a high culture repressed man... with her heterodox approach to child care and family life being exactly what the family needed to recover and grow.
5. Everybody Loves Raymond - A show about family life in an italian american family
6. Fraiser - A show about eccentric urban professionals, a somewhat accurate conception of psychiatry and a British immigrant and their life in Seattle.
7. Cheers - A show about a bar and the bar's prominent patrons from all walks of life in Boston
8. Friends - A show about semi-white collar professionals and their personal lives... Unlike the others, this show which started great and then became ridiculous... and everybody's horrible traits were amplified by a dozen.
This episode was super cute, but I always wondered how it possible Sylvia had that much food for everyone, then again it's Sylvia the foodie lol

It's crazy how when I was a kid the life Fran came from was super strange. But now that I'm older I see I lived in a home that was almost identical.
CC's olive coat makes several appearance in the show. Not sure if it's her favourite , she looks good in it.

My mum and loved The Nanny so much that the day we adopted another stranded female puppy who was as clever as Nanny Fine we called her "Fran". She was as extraordinary as her and they are forever in my heart together with my mum. Miss you lots, Mummy. Thanks, all the people in The Nanny, for making us laugh and so happy. :)

@ they only sell the DVD box set, and it is very bad quality (video and audio) and a lot of people have had issues with the disks not working.
In Mexico, you can watch the Nanny in amazon prime and Claro Video.

This is truly one of the best and funniest episodes of the Nanny & definitely my favorite.
Seeing the whole cast together during the entire episode is just awesome.
...and then like Fran says, "there's more heat in this house than in all of the Caribbean", it’s definitely true 🧡🙏🏻

Many years after i saw this episode for the first time, i understand how important was the hospitality of family Fine, even in a limo, it's so dangerous to keep outdoors during a snow storm.The Fines were very kind.

Maxwell was so taken with her already 😍 probably because she kept him on his toes that he literally didn't know what to expect next! She intrigued him and was certainly never boring! In episode 1x2 he said she was the most exasperating woman and in another episode he said she should have come with an owners manual 🤣🤣🤣!

I can't complain, Fran's mom cooks them a nice meal they can eat in front of the TV, they ride in a limo and the mom's a hoot. They have it pretty good.. Could be much worse, at least they didn't end up at Patty and Selma Bouvier's, you wouldn't be able to breath.

I probably haven’t seen anything of this show at all in the last decade, but the character dynamics still stand up. I don’t even remember most of their names, though I have to say I want a coat like the eldest daughter’s now, haha.

She just assumed. Most people go somewhere warm and tropical in the winter.
