CC was progressively turned into a likeable character and that was a good direction for the character.
CC was evidently a product of her upbringing an emotionally cold mother but a father who adores her and she him she eventually found someone who loved and accepted her unconditionally and that brought her loving side (Niles) Love does conquer all

@Franka *66 *The Nanny* was taped before a studio audience, as were most multi-camera sitcoms of the time. They were staged like plays.

It all works out for her in the end. Marries Niles and has a baby on the way in the final episode.

I did like that the show made C.C. more likable and even more sympathetic by showing how she was raised by people like this.

Lauren Lane was absolutely fantastic as C.C. All of the cast, really, but she was spectacular.
I love how everyone genuinely laughed at Fran's story about her parents and didn't just give her a pity laugh
It's too bad they didn't show Fran in that Bob Mackie gown. Absolutely stunning.

I'm so happy Carol is still with us at least. And Dick Van Dyke! But, I musn't forget America's Grandmother, Betty White! I would've loved to see Betty White guest star, or even Dick Van Dyke/Mary Tyler Moore! They both worked with Ann Morgan Gilbert back in the 60s and there's quite a few references to the show! LOL. There's pics of Betty and Fran together and they look like they've known each other for years. God I'd love to see them do a scene lol.
Penny Marshall & Cindy Williams were no slouches either.

Was I the only one who was ectastic when CC and Niles got together LOL and I am glad that her friendship with Max stayed intact they went back too far to let anything ruin the friendship

CC must be like her mother. I do feel bad for her, but can also understand how it would be hard to connect with someone so different, even though you adore and love them.

This was one of the earliest episodes. In the later ones CC is always dressed in muted colours and the girls are wearing those identical red velvet dresses that were popular in the early 90s. The script is not as zingy as later on

@Brenda MPH CEPH 2 babies? I thought Lauren only gave birth to one daughter but damn she was huge. I also love how they made inside jokes, like CC carrying a large potted plant out of Maxwell's office after saying something about Elaine being obviously pregnant on Seinfeld and they didn't even mention it, just hiding her behind huge props. Then she comes back in with a big sign in front of her belly that says BABY. Rachal Chagall was actually pregnant with twins during the final season and gave birth a week before they taped the series finale! The babies used as Fran's were Rachel's. I'm surprised they were able to do that, considering they were only 1-2 weeks old. I thought the minimum was a month. And yes I know CC the character ended up pregnant in the series finale lol.

This is one of the most hilarious scenes on the show! I had a similar feeling when I went to see Barbra at the Madison Square Garden on 2006!

C.C was funny and I enjoy her but she had very callous things to say and how she treated people. She also seemed to lack certain moral cues. However, she had loveable, vulnerable and funny moments plus Niles dragging her often and the pair playing with each other so she didn't become unbearable.

I really wish Fran won the Emmy for Lead Actress in 1996. Don't get me wrong, JLD is funny. But I think Fran should've won it that year. That was probably one of the funniest seasons of The Nanny (1995-96). How the hell did they not win ONE Emmy? So many funny moments in season 3, especially Fran imagining herself as Barbra Streisand in the middle of Madison Square Garden! LOL. She was the Lucille Ball of the 90s. I don't know how Daniel Davis never got nominated either. He was the breakout star of this show, kind of like Sophia on the Golden Girls--where all 4 women won an Emmy from 86-88.

It would have been so much funnier the first time if you could not see Fran fall on a cushioned floor, and they had used a thudding sound effect... but at least they did so in the final one.
