I did exactly what you instructed now my generator starts on the first pull 🙌🙌 I want to say Thank You So Much for this knowledge you uploaded I feel so good inside I need my generator for work. Yesturday it was not starting until the 10th or 15th pull. I was feeling hopeless and nervous, I wouldnt get my job done. Today I watched the video and now feel like I have my dignity back and a brand new generator.
Man you are a lifesaver! Mine starts like after 15 tries, finished with no shoulder at the end of it 😢 Followed your instructions and yes my generator had the gap. I solved it following your video. Great illumination, great camera focus and step by step easy to follow. Had my generator stored like almost a year before use it after the adjustment. Started at the 3rd try🎉 Subscribe!
What the guy is saying is the choke isn't closed all the way shut with the adjustment shown in this video. Cable has to be tightened more, so when in cold start position, the choke butterfly is fully closed. Simple fix.
in cold start position metal plate closes (practicaly) air intake manifold to give engine more gas and less air. In Run position that plat in open. Control knob doesn't change anything else. So that check for your generator, Probably all small engine tools have the same way to start

Maybe the spark arrestor at the muffler outlet is clogged. I got this problem when I didn't change the oil for over 180 hours. The generator couldn't start with the microwave and went into overload.

Can that be done on a portable generator ? Moreover does a 2 stroke generator have the same mechanism

What’s the tube on top the gas cap for?
I put it into 1 gal bottle to increase work time during the night.
