As my AiVolt 4300 inverter generator, the hose you're replacing has TWO different sized ends. This meant that the small end wouldn't fit on the fuel tank. So don't cut it off.

I'd recommend buying Viton ViTube or the cheaper Tygon Excelon DEHP Vinyl from the U.S Plastics website. Use calipers to measure the fuel nipple fittings on the carboretur, the fuel valve petcock and the polyethylene gas tank. Measure past the barb where the hose will be clamped. Purchase a box of ViTube for each size by rounding down your measurement to the closest available inner diameter or ID of ViTube in the catalog. DO NOT PURCHASE REPLACEMENT FUEL LINE PARTS. Just use the good stuff! Cut your Viton fuel hose with a knife or use a PEX tube cutting tool. Insert needlenose pliers into the Viton hose and stretch it then apply silicone grease to the fuel barbs. For the fuel tank use a larger piece of Viton fuel hose and a polyethylene or brass reducing barb fitting and two clamps to interface the larger tank tube with the smaller tube for the fuel valve petcock. Upgrade to the indestructible synthetic rubber Viton! It is highly resistant to ethanol and gasoline. It can withstand 400 degrees of heat for prolonged periods. It is incredibly tough and durable making it resilient against vibration and abrasion. It will never harden or crack. The proprietary synthetic fluoro-elastomer rubber is patented by Chemours. They own the rights to it and there is no substitute for the real deal. Its different from rubber because its specially engineered to be incredibly resilient to survive industrial environments. Its superior in every way to the Chinese "fuel hose" that this generator comes with.

I use to work chemical operations and my cheap boss bought us everything from Harbor Freight. Most was crap, but we were all shocked at how long these Bauer Impact survived us beating the shit out of them (Years), BUTTTTTTTTTTTT the one negative I can give this brand is the crappy batteries that we had to replace fairly regularly, unlike my DeWalt tools which have never had to be replaced

Thanks for the great instructional video. Our Ryobi generator was running poorly and leaking fuel around the bowl on the carb. We bought a new carburetor for $30 online and were able to swap them out easily. There is an extra drain tube/breather tube? that is hanging out of the replacement, I just let that hang down next to the other tube. It started on second pull and is now running great!

I have one at home and that’s how I started my kit to work on my cars. I’ve upgrade to Milwaukee fuel, but watching this video, I realize that I probably never actually had to. 😂 regardless awesome video thank you for the testing. This is pretty cool

Great video! If you can find a shorter socket for the nuts, that will be better, since you will have less power loss to the nuts. Also if you can find your correct socket size in 1/2" (this should be the Bauer square at the end, right?) and fit it directly, you should have even more power (minimized losses going from 1/2" to 3/4").

So, I watched a similar video on this because I have a Cordless Kobalt trimmer. My spool housing had to be removed in order for me to turn the spool. I have to lift it up to turn it. If the spool housing is on, I cannot turn it. As long as I kept some tension on the line I was turning into the spool, it was fine. After I got about 10-12ft rolled into the spool, I just put the spool cover back on. The process worked like a charm and is so much cheaper than buying the new Kobalt Spool for the trimmer.

I have a Kobalt 80 v string trimmer model # KST 140XB-06/140XB, of course it does not match the trimmer you have in your video. I have tried to to restring it the way the the manual says to do it, plus it’s the way your video shows how to do it. I have tried to restring it a couple of times, but after I start using it and bump feed it it does not work. No feeding whatsoever. Any ideas on what to do?
