You're heart isn't in this one. I had a missing die from my game. I contacted them and I got the die and an extra promo card for no reason. This company cares about it's customers.
I remember when Arcane Wonders did a similar thing for me with Sheriff of Nottingham when my bag broke the first time I used it. It's that sort of care that makes all the difference, absolutely.
We went ALL-IN blind during the last Cloudspire campaign. No regrets. Saves hundreds in shipping to Canada, plus the KS savings. CTG is hands down the best customer service I've ever experienced... and I've trained people in CS for large businesses in the past. Should you go ALL-IN blind??? No. Don't do it. It worked out for me, but I still wouldn't recommend it. Start with the base game. If you love it, get the rest in the next gamefound. The only down side will be waiting. It literally is the hardest part.
Hands down, best customer service I have come across with a board game publisher. I am also in Canada and they have shipped me a lot of replacements over the years, including recently sending me something from the ORIGINAL Too Many Bones that I found to be defective. I mean, no other publisher would do that after all this time! Last year they even sent me a couple of Hoplomachus expansions along with a replacement for a Cloudspire tray! I mean, yes they were coming out with new Hoplo stuff and probably cleaning house but again, I am in Canada, no other publisher will just up and ship whole games for free across the border like that.

I broke on this one. I need that trove chest since I already own the vast majority of it. I absolutely love too many bones and have played a ton of it in the past year. Especially because the company is local to me so it's always nice to support them. That being said anyone that is new to the game should ONLY get the base game and maybe a gearlock or two. That is so much content in that base box and I can't deny that it's pricey, but if you're looking for a great game that can get nitty gritty sometimes, TMB is definitely worth that entry.
@@RoomandBoardReviews I really like Gasket, Ghillie, and Tantrum. Although I will say I don't think there are any "bad" gearlocks. I mostly play solo (or three handed, two handed for some reason feels way harder) so I like to rotate them through them all so I can at least feel like I'm using everything I paid for. The trove chest for me will also save me on a ton of storage space. With everything fitting into just one kallax space vs like 3!
TC is fantastic. We were lucky and got it at the initial price. It mostly lives in the kallax but even then is great. As this channel says, you could design and DIY a storage solution but honestly having all of the individual containers for tyrants, gearlocs, cards makes the setup/cleanup much quicker.
We play TMB so often and it is fun evertime . start with base core game , then go on with ghille and gasket. u will don´t want to miss this game in your collection ever
this is the best game I have (cloudspire and 7th continent are 2 and 3rd), and I don't regret spending so much money on it at all. Even if someone does not like it, it is easy to be sold for the same amount, the resell value is great
I’ve never played these but that art style and just the look of the game with piles of chips and dice just doesn’t tempt me at all. Must be great fun or it wouldn’t have such a following but I think I’m just gonna cover my eyes and pretend I never heard of this one.
I played TMB on tabletop sim most nights for a week with a friend. After playing (and losing typically) we kept wanting to come back. That gave me the experience that I needed to understand the content well and determine if the game was for me. I bought most of the items off their website a few weeks ago as I didn’t want to wait 12+ months to be able to play it physically. I’ve backed to get more in this campaign but would recommend playing on tabletop sim to test it out.
I throw in my testimonial that indeed, not all characters work at all player counts; but I do feel it may a bit much to ask for that kind of equilibrium when the asymmetry is this varied. Just like in Gloomhaven, players beware of support-only classes or even classes that are weak at 2p! At least I can duo-hand on GH, but with TMB it is extra hard to play an extra character in order to get the sweet-spot dynamics going, 2 Gearlocs is just too much character(s) to handle.
If the all in pledge went down from $1100 to $500 I'd go for it, but it's so much money for what it is. I think I'd rather skip it, and instead back a few cheaper games, go out on a day trip, buy someone a little present, repair my car and pay my rent instead. I love games but they have to be your life to spend that kinda money. Now let's see if I cave in a few weeks time!
@@RoomandBoardReviews The problem I have with that philosophy is that I have a multitude of "solid" games that get played once or twice and then collect dust on the shelf. In contrast, I have played TMB over 100 times. I think you have to look at the value you get out of the game and not just the price tag on the box.
@@gregkleinfall1901 Oh yeah for sure, it depends what you're interested in. I feel like at that point it almost has to become a 'lifestyle" game so to speak, that's thrilling to hear you've played it so much :) I definitely can appreciate the system, just played it for the first time the other day and enjoyed it, but for me I like having the variety and not feeling like I have to play a game X number of times to feel like it was worth the purchase.
One huge reason is the flat rate shipping. You could go buy the base game now and then undertow next month, then a couple of gearlocks and so on but then you pay $15 for each order. Being able to do it all in one go seems to be a fantastic deal if you have the money for it and want all the content.
@@RoomandBoardReviews I hear. That's why my plan is to back at Unbreakable Hero now and slowly add stuff over the course of the PM if I am still as excited.
Its a decent game, but the bad guy randomness screwed me. We played for like 10 hours to go through a campaign and we reach the end boss, they had 2 guys with initiative and the first guy attacked me because I had highest life, then when I was at deaths door the 2nd guy attacked me because I had lowest life and I was just instantly dead before even taking an action. I was very displeased...
I'm joining a group buy in my area for TMB so shipping is extremely cheap. I've heard too many good things about it to not try. However I'm just going for the base unbreakable pledge as the extra free caves expansion is looking like great value with stretch goals and likely something they'll charge $25-30 for in the future. I'm the only one in the group buy going for just Unbroken.
Hello Dr. Fomo, I come to you today because I have been experiencing a lack of cash lately, no matter what I do, my wallet just doesn't gain any weight.
As a person that only have Undertow and a couple of extra characters, the 40 Waves expansion is the most exciting thing to me. Buuut then the unbreakable characters are looking really cool. So I'm getting it as well since 2 characters on their own is $60, so I'm basically getting a whole new game on top of it for $25 extra. But i really think TMB is the type of game where you should pick and choose. Not get it all. When you try to get it all, It becomes that incredibly expensive game that people warn about. And hey if you want to get it all. Do it slowly. Research what's available (nothings going away) and pick whatever interests you the most without going overboard and end up with tons of content that will just sit.
If your reason #1 has kept you away from the game, it shouldn't! The mechanics of TMB are such that there are no failures, only different opportunities. The way "failed" roles (i.e. "rolling bones") are handled is arguably what makes the game so great; it mitigates the randomness and unlocks actions -- often quite powerful -- that wouldn't have been possible otherwise. I hate dice, I hate randomness and I've never been a fan of RPGs, and I thought all the plastic and neoprene was a both a silly gimmick and a huge waste of money, but I love TMB, and the more I play it the higher it raises in my estimation. It is a truly great gaming experience.
Amazing. Actually someone with a bunch of mutual friends recently reached out to me saying 'hey come over and play Too Many Bones with me" so I'm quite excited to try it out in the near future. Not excited for my wallet when I get bitten by the bug though, haha
@@RoomandBoardReviews It's not so bad, it's less expressive than KDM and this may be the last time they offer some items! j/k j/k (I'm a horrible person)
Too many trains has obviously not read the rules. There are 39 mentions of train and 1 trains. Personally, I think that is enough train for any rule book. Thankfully, reason 5 is keeping my wallet safely tied to the train tracks because is there really any deluxification that is too much?
I've never played Too Many Bones, but I am interested in just the base game. That seems like enough content for the price, and a better price than what I can find on the internet. Edit: Or I guess I can just buy their website for the same price and shipping as in the campaign.
Yeah I think the base game is also what I'm the most interested in as well. I think you really don't need to jump in and take that plunge, and like people have said it's a ton of content. Their webstore will probably get it to you quicker I'd assume.
Never played TMB either. I might jump in now due to the flat shipping rate (20$ in Canada with Unbreakable campaign!). The original base game might do. But I'll add Age of Tyranny and 40 days in Dealore to spice up the base game. No need of extra gearloc.
This is the hardest back or not I've had to do. I've played the game a bit on TTS and know I'd enjoy it. I like games even more in person than on TTS. I think my wife would like it two player and several in friend group would love as well. The FOMO and costs are so real though. Ugh.
Name any other game that has the component quality though. Chip Theory went down the Rolls Royce route yes it's expensive but you won't find higher quality. Period. The game will easily be passed down without needing sleeves or anything else to keep it in good condition.
I know, it made me so mad. I thought, surely they'll get another gearlock in the stretch goals, and then went back and looked at previous campaigns and thought... nope. That's just how it's gonna be. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt because it's an already established IP but just put 1-2 (up to 4) that's literally all you need to do.
Its the same approach as Undertow so pretty unsurprising. And they basically don't do stretch goals what you get in the ks is what you get from their online store thereafter. Your ks benefit is the saving from retail price and reduced shipping.
@@danieledwards1783 Yeah but on the undertow campaign they specified that it was 1-2 and you could get additional. This one just says 1-4 which I think is disingenuous when your base pledge only supports 1-2 if you don't purchase anything else
As someone who has the rest of TMB (other than splice and dice) and has played quite a lot of this game, it's quite wonderful. I only recommend getting the base game to start and maybe one gearlock that looks interesting. I have been waffling on it, but likely hitting the late pledge. it's just so good... The dumbest thing that is really good to get is the deluxe health chips... it's dumb but really makes the experience so much better. Yeah. Base game and deuxe health is where I would start. Pick up other things as you feel like you're playing through the rest of the content. You should be able to turn that around for not much of a loss if it isn't for you. Also, I highly recommend two-handed solo instead of pure solo. The character interaction is one of the best parts for me. I would definitely not play certain characters in a pure solo...but I never play pure solo so that doesn't affect me. And this is a weird "dice chucker". The backup plan system mitigates so much of the bad rolls. There are many many times where I WANT to roll bones instead of an actual hit.
I mean, I'm already backing everything new and have all TMB and CTG content to date so far but.. you're personable and i keep watching lol. Thanks Bud! great vid
Having never played it, and having never heard anything bad about it other than it's lack of trains, I feel obligated to back it and start finally diving into the experience. Thanks for the great video! Slippery Jim has left me feeling cold inside
Honestly, I'm so torn on the idea of the Completionist pledge. In one sense, it is a gamble, you're gambling that you still will want every chip theory base game, or at least the next 5-6ish to get back your investment. But on the other hand, I think it's such brilliant marketing and at this point Chip Theory look like they're here to stay, and their games also are all going to be expensive. I honestly think this is part of the reason why they have their base pledge of Unbreakable be small-er and then promote the extra add-ons, because they only signed up to get the base pledge and that way chip theory can hopefully convince them to add more. I definitely would be susceptible to adding more. It's something that I've contemplated trying to get, because I think the deal there is fantastic, but what has ultimately stopped me, and I think I might have been able to capitalize on it when they made a mistake in their Hoplomachus Kickstarter and left it open for too long, didn't set the 10 person limit as is their custom, is that I don't know if I'm going to love all their games. It feels like a large deal, but you're still forced to pay for shipping for it down the road, which is especially the worst when CTG decides they need to abandon their flat shipping rate model, and also if some of the games are a miss for you, you've basically been forced to pay for it before. Back in their first campaign, it was so much cheaper but also so many pledges got left on the table because they were a brand new company and people I assume had all these fears. I still think for a lot of people it's a really fun pledge to have and be a part of, you're basically paying in advance for a bunch of years hopefully getting stuff you'll love, and there's a really fun element of being part of an exclusive club, but I ultimately was too much of a chicken in terms of spending all that money at once for stuff I had no chance to get and wouldn't necessarily be actively excited to receive.
@@RoomandBoardReviews Yep, that makes sense. I haven't even had the opportunity to get in on it. The Hoplomachus campaign was their first KS that I saw - and I didn't get there early enough. The same for their current campaign. Also, I didn't really know much about their games - except for the hype. For example, I looked into the rules of Cloudspire and saw that it is a complicated game. So I, too, would probably not have taken the opportunity had I had it to go in on that pledge.
I’m new to the game, never played it. I knew I’m fomoing in even before watching this video. I even was very conscious of ALL the reasons you mentioned. I still can’t stop it. But with the way you talk about it and what people say in the comments maybe, just maybe, I will be able to limit myself to the base game bundle for $240 instead of the $675. Thanks!
The only rational choice is to get everything at once so you are not tempted to constantly buy new expansions for this game - as you end up paying much more that way.
Is it still FOMO, when I started getting it all from the beginning? Yes that includes the "chest". Yes I'm a completionist. Thanks Dr. FOMO md (must do) I'm feeling better about getting it now.
I like TMB and have quite a bit of content but going all in on this kind of game blind is just nuts. Undertow was specifically made and marketed as an easier entry point than the base game. Buy that and a gearlock or two unless you are completely convinced that you will be in love. That the base and 40 days is going to be more than enough content for all but the FOMOest gamers. I wouldn't even look at the campaign expansion or slice and dice or even this new stuff before you've exhausted the above. Likewise the only premium accessories I'd ever recommend are the chips and maybe the ally pack.
This Champagne is insane. No wonder, an awesome Company, best Game, best Component quality and a mind-boggling shipping flat rate… At the moment every backer spends 285,78 $ on average per pledge, including an average 63.- $ Add on. Could it be most backers get the Pop Up Book? ;-) Sad you everyone can’t see wich Add on is purchased most… And the Ultimate Completionists together raise 10% of the Champaign, being only 2,76 % of the backers. Unbelievable… They should rename it… Unbelievable…
I just pledged for the flat rate shipping, and ordered some of it from their website. Then hopefully I can play the core game stuff and then decide on going all in or not if I like it. Probably the more expensive way to do it, but at least I'll get to play some of it now while I wait for the rest of it... >:)
Great video - I want to dive into the TMB universe. I just pledged to the TMB 240$ ( new to TMB bundle) + Unbreakable (85$). Do you think it is a good idea? Or should I just go for the 240$?
Hmm, it's a tough call. I think the stretch goals in Unbreakable do add a decent amount of value, especially because it really looks like they're going to hit that 3 million mark, so you getting the extra 15 baddy chips and those extra encounters, plus two more gearlocks (Gale and Figment) which would cost you 30 each basically, and save on the shipping. So I guess it depends how excited you are for the game and how strapped for cash you are. If you think those extra two characters would be nice to have, it feels like Unbreakable is a decent value compared to all their other stuff, because you wouldn't get the stretch goals if you didn't get Unbreakable now. I'm inclined to say yes, because I'm still inclined to say that Unbreakable is a pretty good deal for all the stuff you get, compared to what you get in the other bundles.
@@RoomandBoardReviews Thanks a lot for your opinion and time to reply! I will go with the 240$ starting bundle + 85$ core unbreakable. I mainly play solo, or with my wife, so I think I will have a lot of content to go through. Cheers!
The human body has 206 bones. That means "Too Many Bones" must be more than that. Don't you think your bones are worth at least $6 each? Reason #7 to not back: You haven't fully funded your retirement account. Reason #8 to not back: The $1,100 price has 2 1s and 2 0s and is too even. It needs more oddness to make it special.
I just want to say that after watching your Voidfall vs Fractal video every time I see the word Voidfall I auto complete it with beyond the Frack. Why have you done this :(
Chill me to the bone!.....with prices like those. I may be a person on the stingy side, but I can't stop thinking about how many individual games I could buy with their all in pledge.😮
@@MrJmarzetti I understand, but lately there are so many other games that have super high all-in's as well like the two I referenced. So depending on the other games you could back with the TMB money you won't get very far. You are right though if it were just good old fashion MSRP games available right now at Miniature Market you could buy a ton of them and be very happy for years. That said these are the days of movie making quality production style board games that are priced much higher than the entry points of days of old. In fairness perhaps say 10 moderately highly ranked top 100 BGG games could also be acquired. Of course it comes down to whether you already had such games to begin with.
@@sidneyleejohnson Yes, you are right...if one already owns many of the games that can or could have been bought retail. I've only been acquiring board games for a little over a year now, so I can still get a slew of games at retail with out running out of options for a while.😉
Tink is not great solo, also I’m not a fan of Lab Rats. Like at all. I don’t like playing them in the least. The rest have their pros and cons, but are generally great. It’s my #1 game.
1. It's the most expensive content per dollar of any expandable coop system on the market by a terrifying large margin. $100 shipped for 2 heroes and 5 bosses, IM SORRY WHAT? and that's the big value new set at a discount. Imagine a $340 shipped with tax buy in for 5 heroes, 5 bosses, two modules, and the storage containers you need to put them in your box. IM SORRY WHAT? that's about the end there. It's an okay coop system. the 1100 all in is like 30 only retail games, it's easily 3 years of games for what would be considered a hard core fan, It's not a logical buy. (on a side note, have you seen sale copies of things like street masters for $45? more content, similar modular scenario based coop, and an amazing game. I have dozens of games like this, and it's just to point out an example of how/why skirting tmb is a good idea unless you're in the thousands of games/10k a year spend category) let's think of 4 more 2. the rules are still fuzzy, and have always been bad. If you don't like like random 3. you don't like randomized scenario based gameplay and prefer campaign games. The campaign here isn't for campaign fans, it's a module for scenario fans. 4. you prefer 3d table presence. Games are moving into resins and 3d terrain inside of $150 boxes, art is getting better, TMB is not going to draw in a casual viewer that games like descent will. 5. you don't like unbalanced randomness. Games like spirit island are masterfully balanced design work, this is passionate, and copious design work but it's not at that level. this is closer to a this war of mine, or nemesis. those games are fun, but they definitely deliver that fun in a different way that might not be fun for the more euroy crowd.
Yeah I agree, it just seems so so expensive for what you get. I had heard the rules were getting better, but it's also incredible to me that they've had so many rulebook iterations, I can't imagine how it must have been back in the rulebook 1.0 days. That 3d table presence is a great one as well.
To all 11 points made (6+5): consider this quote from Quackalope: " "I own everything, I still struggle with it. I think I went too deep too fast. I'm going back to the beginning to see if I can rekindle something", Add on MortalCompass's Boredom concern after 30 plays. Is there a real issue about min/maxing how players approach this game after 30 plays? Are the tech trees really viable choices once a person learns the system? Is it such that you could choose to do 16 things but in practice you really only pick 2-4 of the same ones every time you play the character after you've solved the game. Once you have this skill, can you simply look at new character additions and within a few minutes know that you will never pick from 75% or more of the choices? I can dispel most of these concerns mentioned in deciding to back this but the one I'm most concerned about is repetitiveness and boredom stemming from "solving" the game puzzle and then rinse and repeat for 3-4 years through each tyrant fight. Are there really enough true decision choices to make this game fun for years? Or is it just a pretend collection of paths that an alpha gamer would never touch. How much of the variety in the characters and choices within each character are just fools errands... distractions from winning paths to quick victory? Too often content to games is added to give players a variety of choices yet over time players recognize that so many choices are not really efficient in terms of risk/rewards and opt for the min/max paths. Is the variety of choices just mostly fake?
I'd say I still pick the same basic 4 starting moves in spirit island for almost every spirit for every play, and it's still fun years later, and I picked that up for $42. It's always a combo of executing a core strategy and engaging with the board state which constantly changes. The problem is I'd pay $275 and more than 2x the space to get the same amount of replayability in tmb.
Haha, dang, I'll be quicker next time I swear! And thanks, yeah I'll definitely get a patreon going at some point. I do have to figure out what I can add/offer to give that extra value to those interested. If you back any other patreons I'd love to know which ones and why. I know there's usually additional video content, it just takes me a long time to edit and get these ones together so what's stopped me before is that fact, wanting to keep up the same consistency and also not necessarily lock stuff behind the walls, but I guess I could do more playthroughs/casual/less edited stuff there as well.

I am mildly interested for solo and glowing reviews by community, but god, it looks like horrid value. chips are all right, I get they are worth a significant overhead just as miniatures are, but what else is in the game? neoprene mats? they look worse than cardboard for holding dice. many dice, cool, but how many dice do you even need? for that 1100 pledge once everything is out, how many dies will be included in that, 1100? sounds like totally ineffective material management. do you really need a separate die for everything? people say "table presence", but it's literally 4x4 grid and character boards. this game puzzles me so much in why it even works. not actually bashing the game, it has proven itself, but looking from outside, it looks like 20 Eur/USD game, not 1100
I don't understand why everyone is focusing so heavily on the $1100 pledge when CTG themselves have *clearly* stated time and time again that they do NOT want people backing that pledge. The *gameplay* all-in pledge is $675 -- yes, that is still a lot, but you're also not pay $100+ in shipping or having to sleeve, and eventually re-sleeve, 100s of cards, so . . . . The $1100 pledge contains additional, unnecessary, *non-gameplay* cosmetic upgrades (campaign maps, playmats, etc.), thematic elements (promo packs, additional chips), lifestyle enhancements (the Trove Chest storage box with handy dice storage containers for Gearlocs and Tyrants, dice trays, dice towers, etc.), THREE leather-bound lore books, and, for christ's sake, a gd pop-up story book that started as an April Fools joke. $1100 is absolutely excessive, and the fine folks at CTG couldn't agree more, that's why they've been vocally dissuading people from backing it. $675, on the other hand, is a steal, but only if you already know you love the game, i.e. you've played a friend's copy and now want your own.
@@boredboardgamerkramer3838 actions speak louder than words. they listed it to catch whales, and that's what they do. that's even their selling point. gameplay all in, as you note is still very overpriced (by 200 money or so from my perspective minimum). game is good, if you are a whale, get it. if you are not, it's among worst valued games out there. my personal benchmark Eldritch Horror which all content comes in for 300 USD MSRP, and you can replace it with custom inserts and acrylic everything from etsy and still turn out below TMB gameplay all in cost with more gameplay. it all boils down how much money you have to spend, really, and what your alternatives are. if I was a whale, I'd get TMB for sure. on that kind of monetary tier only what, Nemesis, and KDM are, and they offer leagues more of gameplay AND production value.

Who's your favourite gearlock? That trove chest is so gorgeous, I can understand wanting to grab it haha
@@RoomandBoardReviews Personally I like playing all of them… but if I had to chose, Lab Rats.
We play TMB so often and it is fun evertime . start with base core game , then go on with ghille and gasket. u will don´t want to miss this game in your collection ever
Thanks for including my dad in this video! Slippery Jim has been waiting for his big break. Can't wait for the world to hear him speak!! :)
You don't want to hear it. It's both Supple and Subtle.
this is the best game I have (cloudspire and 7th continent are 2 and 3rd), and I don't regret spending so much money on it at all.
That's kind of how I feel as well. It has to be fantastic gameplay wise, or suffering from "I've spent so much money on this I have to enjoy it" haha
plus sounded like pirate theme but its goblins...
gameplay-wise it is great enough
I played TMB on tabletop sim most nights for a week with a friend. After playing (and losing typically) we kept wanting to come back. That gave me the experience that I needed to understand the content well and determine if the game was for me. I bought most of the items off their website a few weeks ago as I didn’t want to wait 12+ months to be able to play it physically. I’ve backed to get more in this campaign but would recommend playing on tabletop sim to test it out.
You have to request a letter from the Queen.
Everyone telling me Tink is hard at solo only makes me want him more. I find some characters too easy.
For sure, there's so so so much more I could do with that money. Could buy 15 solid 60 dollar games. 15!
Totally. That's honestly my biggest draw, which also makes me realize I'm more interested in the shipping deal than the game haha.
@@RoomandBoardReviews I hear. That's why my plan is to back at Unbreakable Hero now and slowly add stuff over the course of the PM if I am still as excited.
I’m more interested so I can get the Cloudspire mini’s.
… to complete my all-in there. Unbreakable almost works out for free!
Yeah I've heard that can happen. I would be equally as displeased.
Just finish watching although it is a 30 minute video but it felt like 10, that's how good it was.
This age old problem is one I'm still seeking the cure for, haha
Fantastic advice right here :)
@@boredboardgamerkramer3838 haha you make some good points :D
Glad you called out the 2 player deception! Was the first thing I thought when looking at the content in the box.
I was so close to backing this, but the lack of trains is sadly a deal breaker
Don't you hate that, a perfect game RUINED by one tiny flaw!
I mean, I'm already backing everything new and have all TMB and CTG content to date so far but.. you're personable and i keep watching lol. Thanks Bud! great vid
Hahaha, thanks a lot, I appreciate that :)
Having never played it, and having never heard anything bad about it other than it's lack of trains, I feel obligated to back it and start finally diving into the experience. Thanks for the great video! Slippery Jim has left me feeling cold inside

Haha I get that totally, I hope you love it :)
Now what about those people that went in on the $650 pledge to get all future Chip Theory Games? I am just wondering... (I am not one of them).
New to TMB and all these points makes sense.. but but I got Strategist pledge..
Incredible. That's wicked! You're set now! Haha, hope that flat rate shipping does stick around for a long while!
@@RoomandBoardReviews As Tom Vasel and Zee said, this is a gamble pledge. I hope CTG becomes huggge successful company than anyone could imagine.
Haha, yeah, you're right! The only way to avoid temptation IS to give in to it entirely, I'll be taking this video down later today 😂
Is it still FOMO, when I started getting it all from the beginning? Yes that includes the "chest".
Yes I'm a completionist.
Thanks Dr. FOMO md (must do) I'm feeling better about getting it now.
That's why they call me Dr. Must Do! You gotta do it! haha :)
nice one pointing things that the market wants to feed you on, don't know any youtuber board game who are doing it too
I like TMB and have quite a bit of content but going all in on this kind of game blind is just nuts.
Haha, nice. Yeah that would be the way I'd go too, split wave shipping when possible is always something I strive for.
Hit both buttons. Ran out of floss though, have to go to Walgreens.

@@sidneyleejohnson I was referring to the "Strategist" and "Ultimate Completionist" pledges.

The odd thing is every negative review makes me not want to like the game, but once I played it I was hooked.
Funny how I backed the game as I was watching this video
That's great to hear, hope you love it :)
I'll give you 1,100 reasons why not to back this Kickstarter.
Tink is not great solo, also I’m not a fan of Lab Rats. Like at all. I don’t like playing them in the least. The rest have their pros and cons, but are generally great. It’s my #1 game.
Awesome, yeah I'm definitely going to keep my eyes out for people selling it used if I could get it cheaper, it does seem fun :)
because there are too many bones ?
I have dozens of games like this, and it's just to point out an example of how/why skirting tmb is a good idea unless you're in the thousands of games/10k a year spend category)
let's think of 4 more
2. the rules are still fuzzy, and have always been bad. If you don't like like random
3. you don't like randomized scenario based gameplay and prefer campaign games.
Pa. You're too late. Already backed!
Love the content. I hope you find a niche soon that gives me reason to back you on patreon.

I am mildly interested for solo and glowing reviews by community, but god, it looks like horrid value. chips are all right, I get they are worth a significant overhead just as miniatures are, but what else is in the game? neoprene mats? they look worse than cardboard for holding dice. many dice, cool, but how many dice do you even need? for that 1100 pledge once everything is out, how many dies will be included in that, 1100? sounds like totally ineffective material management. do you really need a separate die for everything? people say "table presence", but it's literally 4x4 grid and character boards. this game puzzles me so much in why it even works. not actually bashing the game, it has proven itself, but looking from outside, it looks like 20 Eur/USD game, not 1100
Yeah definitely agree wholeheartedly. The gameplay intrigues me, but everything around it just doesn't draw me in, especially for the price
Reason #0: You strictly play solo. Never played such an unbalanced board game in my life
