Helloween definitely deserve full album reactions from Helloween ep in 1985 up to Keeper of the seven keys II in 1988.That's not to say they don't have some very good albums afterwards
HELLOWEEN IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE BANDS FROM BACK IN THE DAY AND YES THEY ARE SO SPEEDY AND TIGHT SOUNDING AND THE SINGER IS AMAZING TOO AND THEY HAVE A VERY MYSTIC VIBE TO THEM THAT WE ALL CAN RELATE TOO .. :)
Guitarist Kai Hansen released a 30th Anniversary Live concert a few ago with his band Gamma Ray. Check out Heading For Tomorrow feat. Ralf Scheepers. The keys on the Helloween songs are done by guitarist Michael Weikath. Could also have been producer Tommy Hansen who used to play keyboards for the old Danish prog band The Old Man & The Sea but in the early 70's. But he's only credited for the production.
Since you've Eagle Fly Free before you could go for three times the charm with an excellent cover done by Lovebites - Eagle Fly Free Live from the Abyss 2020.
This to me are what epitomizes Power Metal, and Eagle Fly Free is pretty much the quintessential Power Metal song: fantastical feel, soaring vocals, anthemic and singalong chorus. As for Dr Stein, it's a fun heavy metal song. Both are Helloween's best.
Helloween has good sounding songs on b-side. They are in many ways better than the songs on the main album. For example, Deliver us from temptation, Aiming High and Faster We Fall. Maybe you can listen to it sometime if you want 🤘🎃🤘
I have to admit that I can't stand European power metal, and I much prefer USPM. There's too much reliance on mindless shred and a million ostinato sections with this stuff, like they took Maiden's licks and processed them without much care for melody or structure. Yeah that's right, Helloween, Dragonforce is your fault! 🤣🙃
USPM and European power metal are two completely different sub-genres that just happen to have the same name. Same with Metallica's demo Power Metal and the Pantera's album Power Metal.

I remember picking up their first album years ago…never liked it!
But revisiting it years later…I was wrong….the music is well put together!!

You really need to listen to their song Halloween live from United Alive and Keeper of the 7 Keys live from the same tour. Truly mind blowing!
