- I've not been able to get out into the hills for a while for one reason and another so as soon as I saw that the weather forecast was good for my day off I decided to go big. 3 remote munros from the head of Loch Arkaig was the plan and I knew it wouldn't be an easy day. A long walk in, midges, clegs and boggy ground made sure I knew I'd had a hard day out, but the views more than made up for it. It took me a little longer than I expected and if I'm honest I think it would've made more sense to camp overnight and enjoy the walk over 2 days, but all in all it was a good day out.

I often wonder when walking these hills, who build these walls, and I mean I "wonder" love the vid. Well done.
Thanks John, I often do the same, and marvel at the effort that’s gone into them. Built by hand, with the stones carried in, not dropped by helicopter, and then carefully positioned, spanning mile after mile. No mean feat!
Was there beginning of June 1988,very hot and very clear,we did the three from the so riles,lucky to have had a boat,extremely dehydrated ,Want to go back .

Miles from anywhere Thanks Dave, it was hard going at times, very boggy for the most part, but well worth it for the views. If I was going to do it again I'd definitely think about camping overnight. Atb Mark

It's interesting that whilst your movies are really high quality, your stills are less so with modest resolution and colour rendering that to me is not as true-colour (at least that's how my eyes see it!). I'm just wondering whether this is deliberate? In general I would expect movie content to be lower q than the stills but you likely have good reason for all this. Not criticism but just genuinely interested in your excellent content 😎
Paul Truswell Always happy to take constructive feedback Paul, so thank you. I can’t remember whether I used my Nikon for the stills on this one or if I just used the GoPro. Either way, I’ve got to agree and say the stills are a bit lacklustre on some of my videos, although in my defence I’m not a photographer by any stretch, very much a point and shoot. I do occasionally process my photos in Lightroom but again, don’t really know what I’m doing so sometimes I get it right, other times I don’t. I do sometimes have a tendency to ‘over process’ and have tried to steer away from doing so. I’ve also found that shots that look ok on my laptop can look pretty poor once uploaded to TH-cam or, even worse, Instagram. I’m hoping to get some more videos put up soon so it’d be interesting to get your feedback on those too if you watch them.
