How can I search original audio by text or by the words that were said in the audio? My personal instagram doesn’t show audio (as yours showed at 1:12) as one of the options. 🤷🏽♀️ Does it only show up on business pages?

Depends on the app! On TikTok there is a "stitch" feature where you can add your own video onto another. This will link your video to that user's account. I have seen some users screen record the beginning of a reel and use that in their own video (though I don't know that I would recommend it). In Instagram, you can "remix" a reel, which is similar to the Duet feature in TikTok.
When I click search it just shows what I’ve looked up recently like hashtags or biz or I don’t have the option to swipe over to search audio or anything specific. Any suggestions?
Same for me, too. I checked and it said I have the latest version of Instagram (I'm on an iPhone 12. My old Android used to be much further behind and wouldn't update.) I'm hoping it will be rolled out to other people soon!

There is a way to import your own audio, but it can be tricky and will probably tank your views! If you're hoping to get views on your reels, I recommend using a trending audio. If not, then go for it!

Can I use the saved audios and move them to canvas? or do I need to upload the audio from spotify then convert it and save it in canvas? Also how do I find the 'words audio' which are trending now. First question - it is pretty difficult to extract an audio from IG, so I'd create inside the app if it is important that your audio is synced! Second question - lip sync audios trend in the same way that music audios do! I would just keep exploring your reels feed until you find some that you like!

That's an interesting question! I think I would try selecting an audio, recording/uploading my video, and then (when editing in the IG app) tap the music symbol to turn the reel audio all the way down and your camera audio up!

Should I record the video with headphones after selecting the audio track. I have to have the audio track to play live over the music so Im stuck there.

There is no way to manipulate an audio! You can try going to search and looking for other versions of that song that might have a longer selection available!

No, it cannot be edited after posting! But if you save the reel to your camera roll before adding the audio - you can post again with a different audio!

Great question! Yes, if you use an audio, your reel will be listed under that particular sound - but this can help get your reel in front of more viewers!! Creators of audios on reels love for other users to use their sound!

Good question!! Copyright is a totally different animal in the arena of tiktok and reels! The short answer is, the audios provided in the app are available to use without concern of copyright. The apps actually want more and more people to take part in using them!

Hey Marianne!! Absolutely! I have done this before. I just save the reel, and re-share it as a "new" reel! I wouldn't recommend doing this until at least 3-6 months after originally posting it, though! :)

Go to your profile settings! Creator and business accounts have access to a lot more analytics, which can help us determine what people want to see and like to see on our pages. A creator account has access to a lot more audios than a business account!

ok so saving the Reel is how you remember what you want to use it for.., I found your video trying to see how to organize the saved sounds.. I always have to scroll through each of them to remember the sound that it was .. I wish we could rename them ...and thank you great video

Why don’t a saved reel draft show up on a different device? I’ll be working on my phone then later need to go back to finish my reel on a different device and it’s not there. It’s only on the original device. Any suggestions? Can this be fixed?
When you open a reel on Facebook, it should take you to the IG app! You can save the audio from there. When posting a reel on IG, select share to FB before posting!
I heard an audio that I liked once but can’t find the reel now to save the audio. Any advice on how to find the name of certain trending audios? I tried to type key words but no luck finding it.
@@StephanieKase Thank you! Since this comment I found the audio actually by typing in the keywords by searching it as a hashtag on Instagram. You can then see all the reels that pop up with the audio. 👍🏻
How to I upload my own original sound, and not have it on my profile, kind of like how tiktok allows you to have your original sounds in your private sounds
You can't upload only a sound, Original Sounds come from a reel you have uploaded! So you have to do that first then you can rename your Original Audio if you want!

So what if I want a specific audio clip from a movie. Do I have to record that with my phone in the background? I see other reels using audio clips from movies where it sounds perfect as they lip sync it. How do I do this ?
If it's not a sound you've already heard on the app, you would have to extract it from the movie somehow! Other users probably record the sound manually or extract it from the mp4 somehow!
Is there a way to find the full track name for a used audio track? It's showing as 'original audio' used in a fashion show reel. Can I find the full version or at least the name somehow? I checked in comments and description, it's not there.
Simply press the plus sign, select reel, and start uploading or recording! In the edit section, you can adjust the audio by turning it all the way down. Hope this helps!
On one of my accounts I cannot see the ‘use audio’ button once I open the music. Any idea how to fix it? I saved the music etc, but I cannot actually use the sound.
After I select search on the page then select search on the top my screen is blank is does not give me the same options of what you are showing. I cannot select audio to search for songs
Instagram tends to roll some features out to some before others! Try typing something (anything) in the search bar first. After searching, you should be able to select audio!

How to use both music and voice in your Reel - I was hoping you went over that. Although I lower the volume on the music it still comes out louder than my voice and it's very distracting to viewers.

You can add CC to you're own voice, but not to an existing audio! You would have to type those out by hand!

Unfortunately, no! I would start with picking my audio first, and then making a reel that will fit into those time restraints!

I couldn't figure how why 'sometimes' when I was on Insta I could get music or audio - but 'sometimes' I couldn't. Took me a long time to figure out that it was an account issue. Hi! Sometimes switching your IG account to be listed as a "creator" will give you access to a few more audios than a normal account. Hope this helps!
ok so saving the Reel is how you remember what you want to use it for.., I found your video trying to see how to organize the saved sounds.. I always have to scroll through each of them to remember the sound that it was .. I wish we could rename them ...and thank you great video

You can only autogenerate captions for your own personal audio! If you want the lyrics to a trending audio to appear on the screen, you would need to type them! This video might help:

Why don’t a saved reel draft show up on a different device? I’ll be working on my phone then later need to go back to finish my reel on a different device and it’s not there. It’s only on the original device. Any suggestions? Can this be fixed?
It's the way it works, drafts don't save across different devices unfortunately!

When you open a reel on Facebook, it should take you to the IG app! You can save the audio from there. When posting a reel on IG, select share to FB before posting!

You can try turning on captions in IG ( th-cam.com/video/qI31LlojiEs/w-d-xo.html ) but, if that doesn't catch them, you'll have to type them manually!

I would try searching for Forrest Gump in the app and seeing what comes up! Otherwise you'd have to clip it and upload an original audio yourself!

Type in what you want to search, then hit the blue "Search" button at the bottom right of your screen! Then you can swipe over to Audio from there! :)
How do you select only a portion of an audio track (say, a portion in the middle)?
I heard an audio that I liked once but can’t find the reel now to save the audio. Any advice on how to find the name of certain trending audios? I tried to type key words but no luck finding it.
Honestly it's hard if you can't find it through keywords in search! So I keep an eye out for it or even try googling it!
@@StephanieKase Thank you! Since this comment I found the audio actually by typing in the keywords by searching it as a hashtag on Instagram. You can then see all the reels that pop up with the audio. 👍🏻

Are all the audio safe to use? There's copyrighted audio in there but idk if reels makes it ok.

You can't upload only a sound, Original Sounds come from a reel you have uploaded! So you have to do that first then you can rename your Original Audio if you want!

So what if I want a specific audio clip from a movie. Do I have to record that with my phone in the background? I see other reels using audio clips from movies where it sounds perfect as they lip sync it. How do I do this ?
If it's not a sound you've already heard on the app, you would have to extract it from the movie somehow! Other users probably record the sound manually or extract it from the mp4 somehow!
I always recommend using sounds already on the app, though! Your likelihood of gaining views will be much higher!

try searching for any word or phrase - after starting a search, you should see the audio option right under the search bar!
Is there a way to find the full track name for a used audio track? It's showing as 'original audio' used in a fashion show reel. Can I find the full version or at least the name somehow? I checked in comments and description, it's not there.
Look for the scrolling title underneath the caption at the bottom of your screen! Tap on it, and you can save it from the following screen!

Simply press the plus sign, select reel, and start uploading or recording! In the edit section, you can adjust the audio by turning it all the way down. Hope this helps!

do you have a business account? try a creator account! they have access to way more audios on the app and you have the same access to insights!

Instagram tends to roll some features out to some before others! Try typing something (anything) in the search bar first. After searching, you should be able to select audio!
Is it possible to crop someone’s original audio if you only want to use part of the audio? E.g you want to start the audio at the 5sec mark?
Depending on the length of it, you should get an option to select the portion you'd like to use after adding it to your reel!
