I own one of these. Bought it for my 11 year old daughter. I can assure you doubters that this ACE is not Chinese junk. Very solid, very well built and holds up to abuse well. Many of you I see are complaining about the top speed and seem to think it's to slow. Trust me, 30 mph on a Michigan 50" wide trail is fast! That speed is much more than you realize when navigating between tight trees. I love the LED, always on headlights. Makes her very visible when in areas of heavy wooded trails. My only complaint is ground clearance. Another inch or two would be nice. Not all kids are physically big enough to handle a full size machine and this is a good fit.
John Doe Sorry for the slow response. We have never encountered anything too large/steep so I can't answer that honestly. But, on moderate, medium size hills that flow with the trail it pulls along and climbs with ease.
I learned how to drive on a can am commander 1000 when I was 7 I got a rzr 170 when I was 8 and got a 2015 rzr 900 when I was 11 you don’t have to start small you just have to be careful great videos.
Luke. Have you ever seen the film, "The Santa Clause" featuring Tim Allen? For some reason...you reminded me of Scott Calvin in this video. :) As always, great video. Thanks. Wish I lived closer so I could join you on a ride in Canada.
Mike Dee We've had ours for over a year now. Zero issues. I'd have to estimate around 250 miles on it (based on my odometer, I'm always along for trail rides). We pretty much always ride the Michigan ORV trail system, primarily the trails maintained at 50" wide. This has been a great machine. It draws a lot of attention from others we encounter mostly because so many people don't even realize this machine exist. It handles anything we throw at it.
How tall do you have to be to drive it? I have a pretty talented 4 year old grandpunk and she will be needing something next season. She'll be five and about 3'6" to 4' by then.
It's nice but, can it climb properly? I mean, like those chineese 150 atvs, they have decent power once they are moving but if you stall them in a hill, you are in trouble.
Doesn't look like it's intended to do the things a bigger machine can do. It's a small 2wd with less than 150ccs. Climbing big hills would be just stupid.
J Bouchard I don't mean rock climbing but I would expect it to be able to ride with daddy on a moderate trail. Also if it's too underpowered you will burn off the clutch very quickly. Those things are built with scooter engines relying on a cvt and centrifugal clutch. Not enough torque will cook the clutch.
ProbeGT2 well seeing that most manufacturers don't recommend climbing a hill steeper than 25 degrees. I'm sure this one is capable of doing the same. Even though we know that most people ride their atvs on much steeper hills than that. That being said. Polaris has no requirements in making this model climb anything steeper.
J Bouchard Well after lookimg some youtube videos it appears that it has enoight torque and is geared properly to get trough most hills you'd encounter in a trail.
ProbeGT2 I've put one of these machines to the test the past 2 weekends on the trail system here in Michigan. The trails we rode are 50" wide with a mix of wider two track and snowmobile trails as connectors. My daughter and son, on separate trips put on nearly 100 miles. (No odometer but, my dirt bike and GPS record miles). I can assure you that this ACE is more than capable of handling typical off road trail riding. Plenty of power and low end torque that got them through anything. There were sections with downed trees from a storm so we had to make our own path around. It handled moderate, small log crossings and some nasty, muddy sections with ease. No, it won't climb over huge logs but, it is what it is. Our rides never encountered any steep hills, the area of Michigan we rode has mild elevation changes and this 150 did well. I see a lot of people are complaining about the top speed or supposed lack of. I can assure you that 30 mph is much more than needed on a heavily wooded trail system. Having a machine that does 80 means nothing when navigating tight trails because that speed will never be reached anyways. This not a cheap, farm store ATV. It is built very well and is a good, solid off road vehicle for kids.
If anybody plans to buy one of these. They should probably get a bumper kit. Our ace 150 has a front and rear bumper kit. And we have beat the hell out of the front bumper.
the ace is alot safer than a 4 wheeler. but i think dirt trax needs to hire one of those munchkins from the wizard of oz or charlies chocolate factory to get the real scoop on this ride.
When I was 7 I rode a little 90 atv after two years I started riding my dads can am outlander 850 now at 13 I ride a can am ds 450 I don't get why someone would need this but maybe that's just me
Very agreeable. I mean, when I was 11 my knees hit the handlebars on my little sister's Polaris 90 that had a recommended age category of no younger than 12. I'm not sure what was going through their head back then, hopefully they have made them a bit bigger in the years they have been making them. I started riding my Honda 450r at 15 years old, I don't see a problem with an age category as long as you have the brains to control an engine that big you can ride anything
The culture of riding has changed. Manufacturers are more concerned about safety because so many people have sued them. When in all actuality the majority of those accidents and injuries could have been prevented if the rider had made the choice to ride responsibly. I was allowed to ride larger machines as a child (I'm 23) and I was confined to a wheelchair due to cerebral palsy. I admit that I had a few close calls as a teenager due to my own poor decisions. But I never blamed my machine for my poor decision-making.
Because unfortunately some states won’t let you operate an ATV that is rated above your age. For example, most side-by-side’s are rated ages 16 and up. So unless you have lots of private property to ride it on, they may need to get something that they can legally ride on public land
Machine Life you had really good throttle control. Some kids don't have that skill. I had the skill and it is a good feeling. However some kids are retarded and will kill themselves
u bought it with your hard earned money? When i was 17 years old my dad bought me shineray 250, now with 23, i bought my own outlander l 450. I dont think thats case with you
This reminds me of the design of the Honda Odyssey FL 250 and 350 and the pilot 400 would be nice if they brought back in The Odyssey
Wish i had one of those, back in the day when i was 10 :)

Thanks for posting! How does it do hill climbing?

Is this the Unbox Therapy guy?
God bless spread his word!
How do you adjust the speed. Just bought one and I can't figure out how to.
Sorry for the delay, open up the fuse box under the seat and you'll see the pins you need to move to select the 4 speed settings.
thanks. No problem. i appreciate it.

It's nice but, can it climb properly?

I’m 12 and 5.7 I think I’m to big
You’re probably not. I’m the same age and I have these Polaris’s in a local shop and I could fit in it and I’m near the same height.
Your probably right but I like big machines
When I was 10 my dad was letting me drive our rhino 700 and when I was 6 I was riding a Honda rancher 350 so I do not really see the point in this 150
Machine Life you had really good throttle control. Some kids don't have that skill. I had the skill and it is a good feeling. However some kids are retarded and will kill themselves
XxWWRGODxX _ yea exactly. I know people who probably can't even control a stock blaster
If I have a ace 150 I would modify it I know my dad would want me to close 30 miles per hour that's white weight
I want one of these not because I wanna follow rules I just can’t fit in any others besides youth,I’m nearly 11 and 4,5...
Conner I’m 10 should I get a rzr 170 or this thing
Nolan Sears you should get the ranger 150 its better
im 13 and i drive a 2016 polaris sportsman 850
XxWWRGODxX _ oh no my dad drives a polaris ranger 1000 but either way your probably jealous lol
u bought it with your hard earned money? When i was 17 years old my dad bought me shineray 250, now with 23, i bought my own outlander l 450. I dont think thats case with you
unknown16able of course i didn't buy the polaris sportman 850 my dad bought it for me
cool go kart. To bad it costs more than most cars I've owned. Honestly, most kids would have just as much fun in a $500 yard kart.
I drove 420 hondas and pioneer 1000 and im only 11 years old
I am 13 and I drive a 570
Your daughter?
should have had the kid do the full review hahaha
100%
Too bad its 4000
😅😆😉😊😃😄😀😎
So it’s basically a Honda Odyssey...but....it’s not Honda....
This is made for kids. An adult could fit comfortably in an Odyssey, but not comfortably in this.
I dont get why Polaris makes these. I am 11 and I drive a Honda 230 ATV, a Ranger 400, and a Kawasaki klx 110.
vroom
Is it 4x4. Nope!
Sorry, But this looks like nothing more than a $999 farm store go cart at 3.5 times the price.
