This is an excellent angle of the drum set. The finesse shows you that he was a high school band line drummer. I learn mostly by watching so this is amazing to see how this all comes together. Crazy good my dude, thanks for the upload!
@@samuelbanya In his modern drummer interview he says he started playing when he was 15 after selling stuff at a garage sale to buy his first kit and he's mentioned a few times that he's entirely self taught. He dropped out of high school too but I gotta check out the live DVDs to see if he's mentioned anything about it. Either way his finesse can't be overstated
feels kinda neat to get recommended a video of a performance featuring one of my absolute favorite producers that was recorded a couple minutes' walk away from my apartment building :)
just want to let you know that all of you guys and your families will live forever this band is immortal been listening since 2015 and never gets tired of spencer and zachary thank you guys for the real kind of music it teached me alot and been with me through different life madness and stuff so guys listen to good music and share it then people will get better
Shit how much speed is Zach on here?😂 ngl he’s rushing quite a lot here, wonder if he couldn’t here Spencer that well, still very cool video/angle and audio
by the time they toured japan they were playing those hold your horse is songs at almost double speed, i imagine its part of the fun of having played these songs for years together and knowing them more than through and through ofc spencer always manages to hold up somehow which is so awesome
Most any rock band is going to either play faster live or is making a concerted effort not to speed up. It’s a combination of nerves and excitement in many cases. Your adrenaline gets pumping and it’s hard not to speed up. Many times bands that are touring also can play the songs much better by the time they’ve played the song live every night for a couple weeks vs. a new song in the studio. So sometimes tempos get faster because they just couldn’t necessarily play it as fast yet.
as a drummer this is the perfect angle to understand and transcribe what Zach is playing in those song, and then never be able to play it
Exactly ha
Lol
Or watch the Japanese tour
Love randomly searching “hella live full” and finding a whole new live set with great audio and footage, this is fucking awesome thank you

@@B4NDllKOOT_ yeah honestly I would've rather they performed that over any of the THIR songs
City folk sitting was so confusing and sick as an extended jam edition
Seeing Hella live is my dream. I wish they'd come together again
Holy shit you uploaded this on the 20th anniversary nearly, obviously on purpose. Thanks so much dude

Like in a drum line? I've never heard that of zach before and I kinda doubt it
@@machty also it's been a while but I could have sworn he mentions it in Portals or one of the other live DVDs.
