Hooooly shit....who knew when yall came back to start casting again, you'd cast one of the wildest games you've ever cast on this channel within the first dozen videos. I was pulling my hair out and screaming and slapping my knees the whole time at the end, I was so confused because I knew it was a new episode but it felt so much like an old school video. Nothing's changed and I'm so here for it.

Im returning after like a decade and a half, I dont have gems so I am thinking between spending 17 bucks on digital draft or got to my LGS on sunday for a physical draft, something I havent done since I was a kid; probably will do the physical draft tho, MoM cards also look pretty. God I wish there was a system to redeem physical cards you bought or earned in Arena.

Turn off autotap, never look back. I know streamers etc. say they leave it on to speed up content but you just have to tap the things that Autotapper will DEFINITELY fuck up, then there's an autotap button in the bottom right that can do the rest. It doesn't make it take that much longer to tappy tap

I watch alot of drafts. I constanly hear people say "I'm not going to play any of these cards." and then watch them pick the shitty card in the colors they are drafting. Why not take the really good card of a different color just to stop someone drafting that color from getting it. I understand the people you are drafting with wont be the people you are playing against but still. Why pick a shitty card you arent going to play?

Not taking good cards in a color signals the players downstream of you that you aren’t playing it (or incentivizes them to move into that color and potentially out of yours). In a real pod where you will be playing against the people you pass to it’s still generally the wrong play to hatedraft (unless you’re in pack 3 and are sure you don’t want anything else), but on Arena it is literally only downside to cut colors you’re not playing.

It is unfortunate that wizards decide to pull away from new players trying to play. Like trying to explain complex interactions is difficult for new players. I wish they would bring back cards without additional text like 6 mana 5/5 with no additional text was good cards that would win you the game was the best time for magic. And now the game doesn't care about new players.

it's a bit odd cuz they had great emphasis for a while on lessening the complexity at lower rarities and now they're really pushing the envelope

Different sets have different focuses. This one, as the culmination of the entire phyrexian arc, is meant to be very loud and spectacular with a lot going on.

@@sams.975 event sets are like a reward for longtime players, as well as the designers themselves. They get to go ham with the designs and lore, and the players get to bust it up with high power. I think MOM is far better than WAR tho. WAR limited was _too_ bomb dependent
