Game 1 - Lsv spent 37 mana to opponents 27 and won, Game 2 - spent 17 mana to opponents 23 and lost, Game 3 - 21 to 35 and lost, Game 4 - 25 to 31 and won, Game 5 - 15 to 9 won, Game 6 - 29 to 41 loss
I feel like, in a format with so many powerful creatures, cutting your removal (invasions) to increase consistency was shooting yourself in the foot, a little. I’m still only 46:33 in, but I felt that way since you made the decision, and wanted to wait until the right spot to have enough evidence to back up that feeling. This limited format seems to be all about bombs and value, and not only did you cut both (a bomb with value), but also an answer to other bombs, and cut the second copy as well. Plus, this early on, you should be maximizing fun, and worrying about consistency later. I really wanted to see the invasion-heavy version, as I’m sure a lot of your viewers can also say. So far this draft, the entertainment level of the draft was high, but post-green-cutting, it dropped off drastically. You’re still LSV, so I’m still watching the rest, though.
Had the same big smile when reading Imoti, Celebrant of Bounty as it popped up in the draft. Without knowing what's possible in the draft format, somehow found the perfect card for the nonsense LSV wants to build towards lol. Shame the UB version was probably better. Would have been fun to see if the Cascade nonsense went off.
The bounty of battles was cause for celebration! I was on the lookout to see double cascade expeditiously. A pity they were cut, but an entertaining draft nonetheless.
My prerelease was wild. I opened Jin Gitaxias, Core Augur, and elected to put the ten drop that kills you if you control it for 3 turns in my deck. I had 3 different ways of cheating it into play for less than 10 mana, did so at least once in each of my rounds, and went undefeated, all with the Devil's manabase of 6 Island, 6 Swamp, 6 Forest.
Haven't watched it all yet, but hidetsugu&kairi+see double+halo charged skaab is infinite right? (or at least as many times as your library size can support). Just wanna say: If it comes up I called from 13 minutes in.
I don't believe so because the legend rule forces you to sacrifice Hidetsugu and Kairi before the Skaab resolves as once the See Double resolves, the Skaab goes on the stack and state based actions are checked before it resolves. Not 100% sure though.
@@noxyproxy You can be 100% sure, because you are 100% correct. A little too fast by me there. Though if we added a free sac outlet(or another copy of H&K), the combo would work by copying H&K on the stack and having Halo-charged skaab in play. Much worse though xD
@@Sandalphonium Might be, I don't know the entire set, but at least, I can say for sure that another copy of Hidetsugu and kairi in play would work as well.
I really dislike the timeshifted cards here. They really ruined my first impressions of this format. So far, I have seen more Companions than I have seen cards with Backup.

Yeah this format is just bombs and youd want to draft as many bombs or removals as possible

36:37 Opponent actually just could've blocked the menace creature with a 2/2 and a 1/1 and go to one, then had lethal on backswing.
Lethal how? lsv would be at 12 life (vs 10 dmg on board) and still had a blocker
the familiar will die and drain him for two in that scenario

Taking Rona over the UG land was atrocious. That card was in DMU and it was basically a hard to cast vanilla 3/4.
Different format can change evaluation. Just cause she was bad in DMU is no guarantee she will be poor in MOM

What a terrible Magic set absolutely trash especially "battle" where is the excitement???
