- The end of fall is here and fish will soon be making their transition to their winter areas. As temperatures into the low 40s and even the 30s, many people think fishing season is over BUT you can still get out there and catch some bass. In this video, TightLineTV takes over the channel again to hit a local pond and share some of his top tips for fishing in very cold temperatures in the late fall/early winter.

I've caught more bass this year than the last 3 years combined, but day time highs in the 40s and 50s, and night time lows in the 30s, in Eastern Iowa, my Whopper Plopper and chatter baits stopped working. i use blade baits but with a slow presentation with very lite vibration and really long pauses it takes a lot of patience.

You guys need to make an anti littering PSA. I am tired of seeing your empty boxes and lure packages littered at every fishing spot I go to. Based on your comments and who hashtags your product on social media, most of your demographic is children, so it would be especially helpful to make such a PSA. If you need proof of how many people litter with your boxes, I have pictures on my phone of the messes your subscribers make.
Rod Belding there is actually a message printed in every box telling people to please recycle and dispose of properly. Unfortunately there are people out there who just don’t seem to care.

Jordan Spalding what’s wrong with that? Isn’t fishing supposed to be fun lol? A lot of people can’t afford a boat or don’t have the opportunity to get out on a lake ya know.
Fishing With YakPak I understand and respect that comment. But my comments criticism lies with the guys who have the $80k 20 ft boat and still only video themselves fishing in a pond. I’d just like to see some creators actually take the mtb box out on a large body of water occasionally and throw down on them with what’s issued in the box. I like your channel Bc it’s obvious u don’t have that $80k boat and I respect that.

I do want a boat, I feel like that’ll add more diversity to what I do on my channel, but not in a position to get one at the moment. As soon as I am, I’ll have one for sure.
Fishing With YakPak no need to purchase a brand new one. Just get one that suits your needs and budget. Most viewers aren’t more impressed with someone who has a house payment type boat vs the guy with a reasonable fishing vessel 👍

TEXAS RIGGED nah, It’s just 30deg out. My big boat is put away by this time. I’m from Ohio. Running water through a very expensive bass boat when it’s freezing out can cause major problems. My boat is stored outside and was winterized by the time this was filmed. My $400 Jon boat build is much more affordable and suited for me in the winter. All love brother. Hope y’all enjoyed the vid.

In the coldest months the best lure for lethargic bass is a topwater frog. Youre quaranteed to catch all the ghost fish in the water
