He may have eliminated those supporters of Batista but that was no different then the purge of the USSR where over 25 million were killed starting with the Stalin regime.
I have to say, as a Cuban refugee it would be nice to talk about all he did. Not just what people praise him for.
Look into everything the CIA has done to sabotage Cuba the past 100 years. And now look at how the rest of the world outside the US and Israel treat and interact with Cuba. They have respect for the Cuban Revolution.
Did you know that when Katrina hit New Orleans the Cuban govt offered to send 5,000 people for SAR (Search and Rescue), and medical aid. The Mayor accepted, The Governor of Louisiana accepted... Good Ole George W. Bush denied the aid.

First, that denotes that the HUGE IDEOLOGICAL INTELLIGENCE APPARATUS of that government has been, and is, super-efficient (it is one of the few things that the communists know how to do well).

After soviets backed off during Cuban missile crisis Castro trashed his office and was first to openly and fiercly criticize Soviets, he did not send Che to Bolivia, that was a trip Che chose himself, not because his relations w Castro detiriorated but simply because they had few ideological differences, but they were still good friends, Che even himself said in his farewell letter that he will always be Cuban revolutionist in his heart
