Southerners definitely eat deviled eggs on the holidays. I once made some in June on a whim, my husband said, 'Why....", shrugged his shoulders and enjoyed them.

Growing up in NC they were deviled eggs at every holiday dinner. Allergic myself but still use those platters for my meatball appetizers so my kids call mine the meatball platter, That glass is beautiful.

My German grandmother, b. 1899, 1st generation American, made Pfeffernuesse (pronounced feffernussa) during my youth, and I still use her recipe. Just the word brings up the memories of the smell of her kitchen at Christmastime!

My family eats the heck out of deviled eggs at Thanksgiving and Christmas, and celery with cheese, celery with peanut butter... that's what we eat while waiting for the meal to be served...to give you a idea how big this endeavor is?.. my Irish Grandparents had 7 children, each of them with a spouse... 62 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren..lol.. and all of us would converge on my Grandparents on Christmas day and Thanksgiving..

Apparently it was a thing, because no matter whose house we went to for any sort of celebration, family or not, there was ALWAYS a plate of deviled eggs.. Good morning Scott! I pick up vintage leaded glass pieces like these as well as clear cut crystal inexspensively to use as containers for floral arrangements and candle holders. Scott, I agree that Christmas time is the perfect time to use cut and pressed glass to dress up your holiday entertaining. However, let's not forget that those Heisey bowls (dang, they're gorgeous!) can elevate even the most pedestrian food year 'round. BTW, what's up with using the lid to keep the cat from licking the after dinner mints? I sure hope your buddy didn't hear you say that.

We had deviled eggs at every holiday. They were always a favorite treat. My parents were from the Great Lakes area and I grew up in CA.

My cat sings that same song. It's her favorite! 🤣

I’m born and raised in NYC. My family would sometimes have deviled eggs at Easter. It was not a definite staple at holidays for me. I like them and would eat them anytime of the year.
