Think of it as the first layer will be at the back of the drawing than the second layer will be in front of that drawing and so on! :3 Explaining things is a bit hard for me but I hope this helps!
Tbh, anime doesn't seem that difficult compared to Disney animation which is smoother. Anime can hold a particular frames for second with hardly any movement and they don't even do lip syncing right compared to other kinds of animation

I sometimes have so much good animation ideas but seriously animating is way harder than it looks. After animating just cat walk cycle for like half an hour I’m so impressed by everyone who animates. When I was younger I did a lot of bad animations. I want to be like that again and just not care how good my animation is
That’s why I am currently trying to work on stick figure animations they are still hard but the characters are easier to make which drawing the characters is something I struggle with
It’s not that hard actually it’s just about how u break it down. 1, you don’t have to redraw every frame, only focus on the parts that are moving like the arm and head. 2 utilize those key frames my guyyyyyyy. 3, I find that good posing beats good anatomy any day of the week, go for dynamic camera angles and shots, don’t be afraid to test the limits of what u can do, you might surprise yourself. And 4, everything takes time. Believe in yourself, ask god for patience, and grind like a maniac
True tho I tried animating once (i have never animated before but im a good artist) Even with onions its hard to keep the character in shape while moving it
There are so much types of 2d animation. The man's using actually the very most used ones, it's called frame by frame 2d animation. And what youre talking about is called either 2d rigging animation or 2d cutout animation based on the software youre using. There's a lot of differences between the two of them. 2d cutout/rigging is way easier, but frame by frame 2d animation way better when it comes to the result(If all the 12 animation principles applied rightly), because the result of 2d rigging mostly closer to motion graphic(It's still part of types of animation though.) I always do respect how animators get creative choosing their animation type tho :)
@@zwobt2D rigging/cutout animation is only ever used on higher quality drawings. For example, a highly detailed painting that Took the artist 10 hours to create and the artist has to create 100 frames. Ain’t no way they’re gonna use 1000 hours just for 4-5 seconds of animation right? And because of that rigging/cutout animation is used to both shorten the time it takes, but to also make the drawing consistent (imagine having to copy the amount of brush strokes on a face on each frame💀). Also.. I recommend people try frame by frame animation instead of cutout/rigging animation, but that’s based on their preference so I can’t really force someone to do it.

I recommend making backups for your animation. Basically each time you make a major layer change (colour, genga, shading, etc) create a copy of it before drawing again

Hi, aspiring animator here! And yea it is hard but also easy if u learn the basic! From the look of it it seems like you are animating straight ahead (basically from pose to pose with little to no planning), it could be challenging and take a long time. This type of animation is usually used for something that's unpredictable! (Fire, smoke, FX, etc). One that i find really efficient and "easier" for this instance is key poses, which is basically draw and plan out the key poses and then fill out between based on the timing u desire! But ofc, there are no right or wrong way when it comes to art! There are a lot to learn, the techniques and whatnot but it's genuinely rl fun and rewarding seeing ur creations come to life! P.s also we usually have 3 passes, rough pass, tie down and then final! Keep it rough and loose at first rl makes things easier in case u gotta make changes!

Well, you don't need to have very detailed animations to show your skill (in most cases), sometimes just lower down the detail to improve time making animations. But hey, at the end of the day. You do you.
Trust me. Your animation is good but you can try to figure out the way that makes you feel comfortable smooth and easy shapes and don’t forget to fix the issue that didn’t look good. Animating lets me create magic, where every frame tells a story and every movement breathes life into characters. It's addictive, like painting with motion, and the thrill of seeing your creations come alive keeps me hooked.
Tip: if you want to boost your animation skill for a short amount of time, just watch a bunch of sakuga mad video. I swear the music just made me animate like crazy
Bro, I’m actually really impressed on how fast made that animation. From what i remember I took 2 or 3 months making a scene that was only 4-5 sec long, I haven’t finished it yet tho. It takes a ton of dedication to even do that in a day so keep it up

I did a 2 minute floursack animation in a little under 2 weeks, I think it comes down to workflow honestly.
Animating is fun when you understand how it works and see the results. But it's very time consuming and you learn things along the way.

No, you don't. If you're using adobe animate/Macromedia Flash 8-Adobe Flash CS6, you can convert your base drawing into symbols and move it that way.

How did you get 10 seconds of a character blinking? How many blinks did you make bro 💀. A blink is atleast 4-5 frames..
My version of blinking is set on 7 frames and it takes 6-3 frames to make.
