Thanks for showing the laser cutting the foam. I make custom inserts for my projects and I'm cutting them out by hand. They come out ok, but not great. The laser looks like it came out way better. The questions I have are, how are the fumes? And did the foam catch on fire or melt at any point? Keep making and stay awesome.
Hey Adam, I kept the door open with a fan running... be carful breathing it! The foam didn't catch on fire, but I could tell it was a little "melty" on the edges. I think after it cools its firm again.
Sweet! After trying to fit my personal defense device and its magazines into some of that pre-scored foam and having it look like 💩, I’ll be ordering some regular foam to make a custom insert now. Your case looks very professional, and you made it look easy. Well, at least not as difficult as I thought it would be. LOL. Thanks for sharing!

I'm going to make my own tries with a Falcon 2 (22W) soon, and it seems difficult to find tables with the "right" parameters regarding different heights & densities for the foam. Have you tried other densities / hieghts (or foam types) ? Have a nice day

I really have not! Best advice is to get some test pieces and start making passes; that's what I did with this stuff.
I would have cut the offcut in half making the blade sit flush with the foam top
