Hey everyone, thanks for your interest in our "cabin"! Quick clarification because we have had several comments on the topic: Our new vacation home is not a "cabin" in the traditional sense if that word conjures up images of Lincoln's Log Cabin or similar. However, in recent years the word cabin has been used more loosely to describe a small structure in the mountains used for a vacation home. We feel the small size of our house, coupled with the full length porches front and back feels like a cabin to us and it's easier for us to refer to it as "the cabin" so we're rolling with it! 😍

@sitchad Thanks! Yes, that's one of the key attributes to our lot: no neighbors behind us so the view will aways be there from our back porch. 🙂

@cliffanderson7544 I hear you 😂 In fairness, the word cabin has been applied a little more loosely over the years. I found this definition that applies: “Today, the term ‘cabin’ is used to describe any mountain or vacation home. While a house is a family-occupied building in a neighborhood, a cabin is a smaller structure in a remote/ wild area, mainly used as a temporary getaway accommodation.”

@boonelipsey5393 Thank you Boone! The porches were the key design feature we had to have when we were considering layouts. They’re very nice and will be especially useful when the snow flies🤗
